After the high-level meeting concluded, Zaboru wasted no time in heading to the main event of the evening. He stepped onto the small stage in the company's event hall, where employees were already gathered, chatting excitedly. With a bright smile, he raised his microphone and addressed everyone.
"Hello, everyone! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. Today, we celebrate your efforts and our achievements together! And as a token of appreciation, it's bonus time!"
A wave of cheers erupted from the employees as Zaboru lifted a stack of envelopes, each one labeled with an employee's name. The excitement in the room was palpable as he continued.
"When I call your name, come forward to receive your bonus!"
One by one, employees walked up to the stage, each receiving their envelopes with wide grins. As they opened them, murmurs of surprise and delight spread through the crowd—each envelope contained a generous 40,000 yen bonus. The air filled with claps and joyful shouts as the employees realized the company's appreciation for their efforts.
"Have fun, everyone!" Zaboru called out, signaling the start of the free-time celebration. With that, the employees dispersed into various activities—some enjoying the catered food and drinks, others playing games, and a few engaging in casual conversations. The office had transformed into a lively party scene, filled with laughter and camaraderie.
Meanwhile, Zaboru took a more personal approach. He wanted to express his gratitude individually to those who had played significant roles in ZAGE's success. His first stop was Shinsuke, the head of marketing.
"Shinsuke-san," Zaboru said, patting Shinsuke shoulder. "I don't know how to express my gratitude properly. You've been instrumental in making ZAGE what it is today. Thank you."
Shinsuke chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "Come on, Boss, I'm just doing my job. But I appreciate it."
Zaboru handed him an envelope. "Here's your bonus. It might not be a fortune, but it's a token of appreciation. 200,000 yen for your hard work."
Shinsuke's eyes widened slightly before he grinned. "Boss, you're really too generous. I'll make sure this investment in me pays off even more next year."
Next, Zaboru turned to Sayuri, Shinsuke's wife and the head of finance. He knew how much responsibility she carried, juggling not just finance but also administrative duties until recently.
"Sayuri-san, your work has been invaluable. You've kept ZAGE's financial health stable, and without your expertise, we wouldn't be growing this fast."
Sayuri smiled warmly. "I'm honored, Boss. But honestly, it's a team effort. I'm just making sure things stay in order."
Zaboru handed her an envelope containing 150,000 yen. "Still, your leadership has been crucial. This is a small appreciation for your dedication."
Sayuri accepted it gracefully. "Thank you, Boss. I'll make sure every yen I manage for ZAGE continues to grow."
Moving along, Zaboru approached Kudou, the company's head of legal affairs.
"Kudou, you've been a rock for ZAGE. Handling contracts, negotiations, and all legal matters—it`s huge amount of work and it's not easy. But you've done it exceptionally well."
Kudou, ever the professional, gave a small nod. "It's my job to make sure ZAGE operates smoothly within the law. But I appreciate the recognition, Boss."
Zaboru handed him an envelope. "150,000 yen for your dedication. Keep protecting us with your legal expertise."
Kudou smirked slightly. "Of course. I'll continue ensuring ZAGE's legal standing remains untouchable."
Finally, Zaboru turned to Yugo and Yuna. The twin siblings had contributed significantly to the company, but their journeys had been different. Yugo had always been passionate about making and testing games while keep Loyal to ZAGE, while Yuna had faced some friction with Zaboru due to past events.
"Yugo," Zaboru began with a grin, "your energy and dedication to game testing have been phenomenal. You always go the extra mile to ensure quality of our games, and I respect that."
Yugo grinned excitedly. "Boss-sama! You know how much I love games. I'm just lucky I get paid for what I enjoy!"
Zaboru chuckled and handed him an envelope with 150.000 yen inside. "This is Bonus for you. Keep up the enthusiasm."
Yugo's eyes sparkled as he took the envelope. "I'll use this to Invest in my future games!" Zaboru chuckled and pat his back
Then, turning to Yuna, Zaboru's expression softened slightly. "Yuna, I won't lie—things between us haven't always been smooth. But I recognize your hard work. Your contributions to development are invaluable."
Yuna looked a bit hesitant but nodded. "I appreciate that, Boss. I know I made a mistake before, but I've learned from it. I want to keep doing my best for ZAGE."
Zaboru handed her an envelope with 100,000 yen. "I hope this is a fresh start for both of us. Keep proving your worth, and I have no doubt we'll see great things from you."
Yuna accepted it with a small smile. "Thank you. I won't let you down."
As the night went on, the employees enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The event was a success—food, drinks, laughter, and camaraderie filled the air. The ZAGE team felt more united than ever, and the positive atmosphere promised an exciting future ahead.
By the time the festivities wound down and employees started heading home, the office had become quiet again. At around 9:00 PM, Zaboru locked up and walked towards the parking lot, where his trusty bicyle, the Silver Wrecker, was waiting for him.
He placed his helmet on, took one last look at the dimly lit office, and smirked. "Heh not bad for first day of work this year and lets hope everything went well this year."
With that, he enjoy good night bicycle riding to home like always , while humming a song
