A PROMISE AND AN OPPORTUNITY

Weeks of Struggle

Days turned into weeks. Dylan continued singing on the streets, pushing through the cold, the rain, and the judgmental stares. Every night, he counted the money he had earned, hoping it would be enough.

Finally, after weeks of sacrifice, he had gathered half the amount needed for Diana's treatment. It wasn't everything, but it was a start.

Without hesitation, he rushed to the hospital.

A Precious Conversation

Diana lay in bed, her eyes tired, but a faint smile appeared when she saw Dylan enter.

— You came back… she murmured, her voice weak but warm.

Dylan sat beside her, gently taking her hand.

— Of course, I came back. You didn't think I'd abandon you, did you?

She chuckled softly, though her laughter was interrupted by a slight cough.

— So, how's life outside? Still singing to impress people?

Dylan smiled.

— I'm singing for something far more important than that. I managed to gather half the money for your treatment.

Diana's eyes widened.

— Dylan… that's incredible! But… how did you do it?

He shrugged.

— I sang. Over and over again. No matter the weather, no matter the exhaustion. I wasn't going to let you down.

Diana's heart ached. She knew how much effort it must have taken.

— You're putting yourself through so much for me… she whispered.

Dylan looked at her intently.

— And I'll keep doing it. No matter what.

A heavy silence filled the room, thick with emotion. Then Dylan took a deep breath.

— Diana, I need you to promise me something.

She raised an eyebrow.

— What is it?

Dylan squeezed her hand slightly.

— Promise me that no matter what happens, you'll keep fighting. That you won't give up, even when everything seems hopeless.

Tears welled up in Diana's eyes. She slowly nodded.

— I promise, Dylan.

He smiled, relieved.

— Then I'll promise you something in return.

She looked at him curiously.

— I promise that one day, I'll take you away from here. We'll live a better life, where no one can hurt you anymore.

Tears slipped down Diana's cheeks, but this time, they weren't tears of sadness. They were tears of hope.

An Unexpected Meeting

After spending hours talking with Diana, Dylan finally had to leave.

He walked home slowly, exhausted but feeling lighter. He had given Diana hope, and that was worth everything.

But as he stepped into his house, a surprise awaited him.

In the living room, an unfamiliar man sat comfortably on the couch, a broad smile on his face. His parents—who were usually strict and cold—looked almost ecstatic.

Dylan frowned.

— Who is this guy?

His mother turned to him, excitement shining in her eyes.

— Dylan, sweetheart, come sit down. We have something incredible to tell you!

Dylan hesitated but slowly walked over and sat in a chair across from the man.

The man studied him with an amused expression.

— So, you're the famous Dylan?

Dylan crossed his arms.

— Depends… famous for what?

The man laughed.

— I like your attitude. Direct, no nonsense. Good. I'll get straight to the point.

He leaned forward slightly.

— My name is Victor Stellan. I'm one of the biggest music producers in the industry.

Dylan raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

— Okay… and?

Victor grinned.

— And I saw you singing in the streets with your friends. You've got talent, kid. A lot of talent.

Dylan's heart skipped a beat.

— You… you saw me singing?

— Yes. And let me tell you, I don't come across raw talent like yours every day.

Dylan was in shock.

— So why are you here? he asked, his voice unsteady.

Victor locked eyes with him.

— Because I want to give you a chance.

He pulled an envelope from his jacket and placed it on the table in front of Dylan.

— A ticket to Dubai.

Dylan's eyes widened.

— Wait… what?

Victor smirked.

— I'm offering you the opportunity to come with me to Dubai, work with the best producers in the world, record your music, and become a star.

Dylan felt his breath catch.

This was a golden opportunity.

But could he really leave Diana behind?
