CHAPTER 29

Alexis took up her pace, trying to close the distance even a little bit.

A few minutes later, the wind started getting too cold around her skin. Her feet were in worse condition, hurting as if she was experiencing the blisters all over again. But that was the least of her problems because right now, she was so out of breath she wanted to pass out.

'I probably should have sneaked out a few times to do some running.'

At this point, she was more dragging herself than actually running. She couldn't even see Keelion anymore.

"I'm—going—" she gasped. "—to—-die."

"Conserve your energy, girl." Reia growled at her. "We can't even see Keelion anymore. At this point, you won't be able to catch up to him."

"H-How—will I—do—that."

Bubbles of tears formed in her eyes. "He's—a supreme alpha—of course—I c-can't catch up."

"The more you talk, the more energy you lose. Stop talking!"
