CHAPTER 30

"Is it any better?" Keelion asked, wiping off her underfeet for the last time before tossing the towel into the bowl. 

Alexis nodded. "It feels much better." 

Was this it? Was it over? He wouldn't make her go on that run with him again, would he? Hopefully not, because she would rather jump off the bridge to her own death than ever experience that hell again called 'running.'

She was not in any way made for that sort of activi—

"Why are you frowning your face at me?" Keelion asked, snapping her out of her thoughts. 

She looked at him. "I'm thinking. Imagining myself climbing the bridge and jumping off to my death because I can't imagine going on a run with you ever again." 

He blinked at her. Silent for a few seconds. 

"Alexis, if you ever even attempt to hurt or kill yourself in any way," he said slowly. "I'll make you pay in the worst way possible. You'll wish you never did."
