"What?" Amusement cracked on his face. By now he was as close to her with barely an inch of distance between them. His hand rested on her shoulder and slowly crawled up her neck, her body shivering under his touch.
"You wanted me to be confident," she mumbled in a shaky breath. "I'm l-learning."
"Starting with me, is that so?" He rubbed his thumb over the mating gland where he'd bitten her—where the mating mark looked like it'd begun fading. It wasn't as clear.
His canines itched.
