After resting for a month, the cast could finally come off. Fu Ling couldn't be more thankful for the time he transmigrated. Since he wasn't able to come before the accident, at least he came last minute and didn't have to bare it all those months.
Throughout this time, he had not seen a hair of either the parents or the brother. It's no wonder the original owner would cling to the heroine like that. Yes, Fu Ling had already decided that the only reason why the original owner would go to any lengths for the heroine was because he lacked love.
Everything was done by the servants and the parents never showed their face or called to ask about him showing how little they cared about the original owner. He was quite pitiful. Fu Ling got dressed and called for the housekeeper.
The original owner had been away from school for six months. Seven months including the time Fu Ling spent so he had planned to start going back to school once the cast was off. The housekeeper prepared everything and he was pushed out on a wheelchair. After helping him in, the wheelchair was stored somewhere in the car and the driver started moving.
Fu Ling stared out of the window and looked at the passing scenery completely loosing track of time. He was slightly stunned when the driver pulled open the door. He was helped unto the wheelchair and after closing the car door, pushed to class.
He received many looks on the way. Some were subtle and some stared openly. Fu Ling didn't pay attention to any of these people. His situation right now was very conspicuous it would be weird of people didn't stare.
On getting to the door of his class, the driver bowed slightly and made his way back. Fu Ling took the handrims and tried to push forward but it proved harder than expected. Why didn't he know he was this heavy before? While contemplating whether to call for help or keep trying, a voice sounded behind him.
"Need help?"
He turned around and when he saw that face, a smile formed on his lips.
"Yes, thank you."
The other party pursed his lips and put his hands on the handle.
Gu Lian looked at the person sitting in slight puzzlement. He had only asked politely and was sure he would be refused by Fu Ling. Why did the other person accept his help and then look at him like..that?
Gu Lian shook the messy thoughts from his head and pushed him into the classroom. The moment they both entered, it was as if there was a shift in the atmosphere. All the students stopped chattering and looked at them then after a second they went back to chatting and the noise was even louder than before.
Fu Ling was surprised that they had gotten so much attention. Wasn't it said that the original owner almost invisible and didn't have much relationship with his classmates? Then it could only be because of the person behind was so handsome and they were all stunned? Fu Ling felt he had figured it out and completely relaxed.
The person pushed him all the way to the back of the class and left him there. Before he could go back to his seat, Fu Ling spoke up.
"Thank you"
He paused slightly but went back to his seat without responding. Fu Ling shrugged his shoulders and took out his textbook. The buzz from before had reduced but he could still feel some people looking at him. Fu Ling buried his gaze in the textbook and ignored everything else including his rising headache. Very soon someone couldn't sit still anymore and came over on their own.
"Young master Fu's legs are okay?"
Fu Ling glanced up lazily before looking back at his book.
"Yeah"
Zhang Bo was annoyed by his careless attitude. Was this looking down on him? He looked at the book in front of Fu Ling and a sneer appeared on his face
"You're studying?"
Fu Ling gave him a look as if to ask are you slow? And Zhang Bo had to grit his teeth.
"I don't think there's any need for you to do this. After all you'll always be at the bottom of the class so don't stress out your brain." After saying that he laughed seemingly at a very funny joke
Fu Ling finally paid attention to the person in front of him.
"Really?"
Zhang Bo's laughter solidified on his face and his heart trembled. It was just one word but he felt a very strong sense of oppression. He stiffly went back to his seat and lowered his head in shame.
Fu Ling returned to reading and he kept that position until it was time for recess. He rubbed his head slightly to relieve the pain. He wasn't planning on going to the cafeteria with this wheelchair so he had deliberately brought his own lunch.
After dealing with everything in the bento, he put the empty box back in his bag and kept reading only to find someone had been staring at him.
He looked at his desk mate whom he hadn't said a word to today.
"Can I help you with something?"
The boy shrank slightly and blushed in embarrassment at being caught peeping. After a while he opened his mouth.
"Umm.. your leg, how are you?"
"Fine. The worst is over. I'm recovering really well"
"Well, okay."
They returned to the previous atmosphere but then his attitude reminded Fu Ling of something and he turned to him again.
"What's your name?"
The boy froze and Fu Ling chided himself. Who would not know their own desk mate's name? Fu Ling was thinking of how to salvage the situation when a small voice sounded.
"Wei Hong Yi. The seating arrangements were made when you were still on leave and we haven't had much interaction with each other so it's natural you don't know me."
Fu Ling narrowed his eyes slightly. This boy was quite timid. He had already taken up all the blame.
"You're the one who was bullied by that dude? The obnoxious one?" No matter how he tried, he couldn't bring myself to remember the hero's name.
The looked at Fu Ling in slight shock obviously not expecting him to say that. But before he could answer, a group of students walked into the class in a high profile manner and after assessing all of them, Fu Ling stopped at the one in front.
"That one?"
He blinked slightly before nodding his head and Fu Ling turned away. Seems like he met cannon fodder number two. Or was it number one? He couldn't tell what order they come in. And to think they're both desk mates.
The students finally noticed us and their boisterous laughter and chatting stopped. The leader stared straight at Fu Ling and he stared back. After a while he scoffed.
"Young master Fu finally decided to come back to school?"
