Fu Ling stayed in a hotel until he was removed from the Fu family household registration. After everything was done and there was nothing connecting him with the Fu family he felt a sense of relief.

Since that was done, he decided to go to the address Chaos gave him the last time. He bought a bunch of tulips by the way.

He went to the tall office building and stepped inside. He stopped at the front desk..

"Hello"

The receptionist looked at the handsome man who came and her heart beat a little faster. She unconsciously smoothed out her hair and showed her best smile.

"Hi, what can I do for you?"

Fu Ling blinked

"I'm here to see Gu Yunnain"

"Do you have an appointment sir?"

Fu Ling shook his head

"Tell him it's Fu Ling."

The receptionist was skeptical but looking at his confident appearance and feeling that such a handsome man wouldn't be crazy, she rang the top floor.

After talking for a while, she put the receiver down

"Mr Fu is currently in a meeting and can't confirm your identity right now could you please wait for a while?"

Fu Ling didn't have a problem with that. He sat down somewhere and started checking out the stock market and economic situation of this world.

Alot of people passed and they whispered, unsure of his identity

"Who's that sitting there?"

"He's so handsome do you think I should ask for his number?"

"Lei Lin posted in the group that he's here to see the president"

"Ah then why isn't he going up?"

"The president is in a meeting"

"Then shouldn't he call? Or is he just a scammer?"

"If he is, its be a shame for that face."

"What are you guys saying? He obviously has the bearing of an aristocrat "

"Why is he holding flowers?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

Fu Ling thought about it and felt he really should have asked for his number the other day but it's not too late. He can always ask about it today. Just like that two hours passed.

The receptionist Lei Lin threw glances at Fu Ling from time to time and then took the initiative to dial the top floor again.

"Is Mr Gu out of the meeting yet?"

"What does Mr Gu's itinerary have to do with you?"

Gu Yunnain had just come out of the meeting room and was heading to his office when he heard the new secretary's words. He frowned slightly.

Lei Lin downstairs didn't know that the president was eves dropping

"There's a man here to see Mr Gu"

"Does he have an appointment?"

"He says Mr Gu knows him and his name is Fu Ling"

"Heh! Isn't this the same person from two hours ago? You people at the bottom floor are really idle. Tell him to get an appointment or leave. Letting him stay here for two hours is just ruining the atmosphere"

Gu Yunnain didn't like her attitude and decided to let assistant Wen find a replacement soon. He walked all the way to his office when something clicked in his mind. He remembered someone said he'll come find him but he never came.

Gu Yunnain turned around and rushed towards the elevator. In his haste, he even forgot to take the executive elevator and rode with a few other people.

He tapped his fingers on his thigh. He was too anxious to notice the other people in the elevator were sneaking glances at him and he had already become famous in the group chat.

"Helppppp! I'm in an elevator with Mr Gu!!!"

"Why is he taking the staff elevator wuuuuuu the male god is making me feel suffocated "

"Okay but why is he taking the staff elevator "

"And he seems headed to the first floor too"

"Ehhh why do I feel like he's a bit anxious "

"I'm on my way to the first floor right now!"

"If I see the male god today, my whole year will be blessed!"

"Am I the only one Wonder what he has to do on the first floor that he couldn't send assistant Wen for?"

Lei Lin looked at the group chat and was stunned by the 99+ messages. She took a quick look and managed to understand the cause and effect. So it turns out Mr Gu was coming down! She was a bit excited. She had been working at Gu's for half a month and had only managed to see the president a handful of times.

The elevator finally stopped and Gu Yunnain felt like this was the longest ride of his life. He looked around in confusion when he didn't see the person and his heart sunk. Did he leave?

Lei Lin saw Mr Gu looking around and for some reason she felt he must be here for the young man from earlier. She knew she made the right decision!

"Mr Gu can I help you?"

Gu Yunnain turned around and with some trepidation he walked to the front desk

"There's something looking for me is he still here?"

Lei Lin heard that her conjecture was right and almost wanted to do a back flip but she kept a professional front.

"A young man came here a few hours ago but you were in a meeting so he waited. I rang the top floor some minutes ago to let them know he was still here but..."

Lei Lin felt aggrieved for the man so she decided to apply some eye drops towards those snobbish people on the top floor. Especially that one answering the phone. She always liked to act like Mr Gu was her husband or personal property.

Gu Yunnain frowned again. He naturally heard what that girl said and even if it wasn't the young man, talking that way to clients or customers will leave a bad impression on people. But he didn't care about that right now

"Where is the person?"

Lei Lin pointed at a corner and Gu Yunnain saw a figure huddled up. He went over and reached out but the person grabbed his hand. When he opened his eyes they were filled with vigilance, until he saw who it was.

"It's you. Are you done with your meeting?"

Gu Yunnain felt distressed but he answered softly

Fu Ling stood up and stretched himself out. He had unconsciously fell asleep earlier while waiting. He looked around and took the tulips which were a bit wilted. He felt it was a shame but Gu Yunnain was bursting with sweetness.

He took the flowers from him.

"For me?"

Fu Ling nodded sheepishly.

Gu Yunnain smiled.

"Thank you. They're beautiful"

Fu Ling scratched his head

"Well as long as you like it"

Gu Yunnain led him to the elevator and took the opportunity to hold his hand secretly while Fu Ling was still in a daze.

Lei Lin who had a panoramic view of the whole thing almost screamed out loud. She knew there was something fishy about them! She knew it! She took out her phone and typed out a few words but deleted them all. This is the privacy of Mr Gu and that young man. It's not her place to go about running her mouth.

She sat with a straight face but couldn't help the excitement in her heart.
