Finally Arrived

I'm glad that I followed Theo here. I was too careless for not detecting the monster's presence. When I checked the monster's corpse, I found out it's actually a Rouge. A monster that is known for its undetectable presence.

This monster was very good at hiding. It could make it's body smaller to the size of a dog to hide. This monster will growl when it wants to scare it's prey. Then it will hide it's presence when the prey began to panic.

"Now choose. Do you want me to bring you guys back and failed your mission or do you want me to go first and let you complete this mission on your own?" I turn to them and ask.

I don't blame them if they are afraid to be on their own after this incident. I have no problem to escort them back to our camp but that would be unfair for the other groups. That's why I have no choice but to fail them on this mission if they choose to be escort back.

"We will finish this mission." The group look at the person who say it in surprise. Even I didn't expect him to make such decision.

"Are you sure? Among all of us, you should be the one who is the most traumatized right now, Mister." Gunther ask Wayne in serious tone.

I'm impressed that he still acts like a leader and know his responsibility.

"That's why I need to be the one who say it. I don't want to hold back everyone because of my carelessness. Moreover, I am fine right now. In fact, I feel like I have become stronger," at his last statement, they all stare at me.

I nonchalantly shrug my shoulder to show that I have absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

However, actually, my ability has rebuild his muscles and flesh to be multiple times firmer and stronger than before. It's no problem for him to send the Rouge flying with a bare fist in his current state. But I can't tell them about that yet.

"So it's decided?" I ask them again to make sure. When there's no one complaining, Theo and I quickly leave.

"Why don't you tell me about your ability?" Theo ask when it's just the two of us. I smile at him playfully.

"Why? Do you think you won't be need since I also have a healing ability?"

"Isn't it obvious? You have a healing ability and you're very strong. What would you need me for?"

I feel like to smack this boy's head after seeing him gotten discouraged. Is he seriously saying that now?

"You're the one who wants me to train you, remember? You're the one who needs me and that's why you stick to me. Not the other way around. So stop thinking useless thing and start to run." I smack the backpack he's wearing, causing him to almost stumble forward.

"Theo." He turns his head at my calling. "This ability is the one that made my body become very strong," I tell him the thing that I don't tell the others.

He smiles brightly and nod his head. "I will train very hard until I become strong like you." Then he turns to the front again and starts running.

"Congratulations to Carla's group for being the first group to complete the mission. Not only they completed it, but they also shows a great teamwork and coordination with each other. I hope you guys can learn from them."

Everyone clap their hands as I sing praise for the group. The group members look proud of themselves as they are being celebrate. I raise my hand and the clap instantly died down.

"Aside from that, they are also the only group that don't use the flare signal. I'm not mad at you guys for making mistake. I just want you to be alert since anything could happen. It also a reminder to myself to be more careful in the future.

Since it's my responsibility to not let any of you die, I apologize if the mission I gave you almost led you to that," I slightly lower my head to them.

"P-please raise your head!"

"You don't have to do this!" All of them ask me to raise my head.

I look at them with a smile.

"Okay. Now it's time to give a reward. Come forward when I called your name. Carla!"

A girl with a black hair and pink eyes come to me. Her nose is high while she walks with confidence. I lightly tap my finger on her forehead. A silver light is coming out of my finger.

"Try to use your ability on that broken piece of a building," I tell her when she gives me a 'that's it?' look.

She turns to look at the broken piece that I pointed. It's size is three times the size of an average adult. "Huh? There's no way I could lift something that big. Even if I use my ability to the max."

"Just do it. Don't you trust me?"

She stares at me for a long time before following my order. She must have thought that she has nothing to lose. She stretch out her hands and a pink thread is coming out of the tip of her finger. The thread is heading for the broken piece and wrapped itself around it.

She looks surprised that the thread can cover something that big. It wasn't until she managed to lift it up at ease that her jaws completely drop.

"Holy- How is this possible?" Not only her but Theo, Ryan and Gunther also have their jaw drop. They have survived together this whole time so they knew very well of the extend of her ability.

"Next, Natasha!" I gave all of them a boost on their stamina. It's also the reason why Carla can use her ability to such an extend.

Some people look at them in envy, while others look at me with a gaze that says, 'you can do that?' I just replied with, "Yes, I can."

"Get some rest. We will continue our journey tomorrow," I tell them before going to my designated sleeping place. They all have eaten since I prepared the food the moment they came back from the mission. So the only thing left to do is to get some sleep.

"Um... Sister?"

Oh, I forgot about this little guy. I turn my head to a ten years old boy. I pat to the empty place beside me, telling him to lay there. He smiles and quickly lay beside me. He makes himself comfortable before closing his eyes.

I still remember when this boy got lost and almost become a monster's lunch. The moment I saved him from being attack by a monster, he has been coming to me and asked to sleep together. He said that he felt safe if I am beside him. He's so cute that I end up agreed with his request.

"Good night, Dean." I gently pat his head.

"Good night. I will... Yawn! Work hard tomorrow."

A couple of days later, we could see a tall wall that look like a fortress. People can be seen patrolling on it. I smile as I recognize this place. We have finally arrived at the shelter.

It's time for me to meet the main character.
