Wayne's POV

Our leader isn't bad. Although she looks young, she is very reliable. At first, we didn't like how she asked us to do this and that but since she's the strongest, and we were relying on her, no one dared to voice anything. Not to mention that she didn't allow us to ask any questions.

Later, we began to notice how considerate she can be. Although the training can be harsh, she made sure all of us get proper nutrition. She wasn't being stingy with the food at all, even though she searched for those food all by herself.

Strangely, no matter how much we trained until our body are sore, we will feel completely fine the next day. It's like we have gain a super recharge ability. This starts to happen when she started to become our leader.

Everyone convinced that she has something to do with it but decided to keep quiet. We all understood that she wants to keep it as a secret. I just hope she could be more open to us in the future.

"Hey, Mister. Have you found it?"

A voice suddenly rang in my head. No matter how many times I experience this, I still can't get use to how it made my head vibrates. But I'm thankful that instant communication from a long distance are still available even after technologies were destroyed.

"Yes. I'm on my way to meet you. Where are you guys now?"

"We are on the first floor. Everyone has gathered here except for you."

"Alright." The telepathy end. This building has a total of three floors. You either climb using the stairs or the dead escalator.

This place is fill with dead silence. A small noise can make the whole place echo. That's why I need to be extra careful if I don't want to attract monsters. But this place is another level of mess that it's quite impossible to not step on something.

As I descend the stairs, my breath almost hitch when I heard a low growl ahead. I immediately go back to where I came from. In my hastiness, I accidentally step on the wood signboard and a creak sounds echo to the whole area.

Without looking back, I start to run. I can hear the footsteps of the monster chasing me. I'm sure it has four legs. It made me wonder if it's possible to outrun the monster. I run as fast as I could and I'm surprised that the monster still don't come any closer.

Those all the running I did finally paid off? I ask myself but didn't stop running. I descend to another floor using the escalator this time.

I search for all the possible place to hide. I hide inside a bookstore near me. A voice I'm familiar with rang out in my head.

"Mister, are you okay? What took you so long?"

"A monster is chasing me. I'm currently hiding but I don't think I can hide for long. Can you do something about it?"

"Don't worry, I will use my ability to distract the monster. You can use that chance to run."

"Good." I nod and slowly peek the outside through the windows. I can see a red colored monster with a stripe on it's body like a tiger. The monster turns around and I quickly hide.

A few seconds later, I peek again but the monster is gone. I turn my head around to search for it but it was nowhere to be found. Then I heard a growl near me. I lower my gaze and I could see it. The monster is at the blind spot of the window.

My heartbeat quicken when I made eye contact with the monster but my feet has frozen in place. A second later, the monster already pounced to me while shattering the glass window.

The monster bites my arm. It's teeth sank in my flesh. I scream in pain and use my other hand to grab a knife and stabs the monster's eyes.

The monster seems to get angry and it instantly tears off my whole arm. Blood splatter everywhere. I swear I couldn't scream any louder than I am right now.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!"

Then I bite off my tongue with determination. I stab another one of the monster's eye and it get off me immediately. I try to stand up while being wary that the monster might pounce at me again.

Surprisingly, the monster didn't do so and keep shaking it's head. As if there's something happening inside his head.

"In it ghager noin?(Is it Gunther's doing?)" I ask and I am proven to be right when a knife was stabbed on the monster's head. The moment the monster's fell, I can see Gunther behind it.

"Mister!" He runs to me to support my body that has start to stumble. "Mister, can you hold on?"

I subtly nod my head as I don't have any energy left. Gunther use a rock to break a window that led to outside. Then he lit up the flare signal and a red smoke come out of it.

"Please hold on, Mister. Theo will immediately heal you," he says as he take off his clothes and place it to where I lost my arm to stop the bleeding.

"D... Do.. you think, Theo... can heal a... broken... arm?"

"We won't know unless we tried. I'm sure he can. You need to have faith in him," he holds my hand as if to give me support. I chuckles.

"You... are a good.. child. Despite... what.. you say... the first.. time.. we met," I barely manage to get word out as blood pouring out of my mouth.

"Mister, please don't talk," he wipes off the blood on the corner of my mouth.

"They're here!" I could hear Dean's voice in the distance. Then I hear several people's footsteps run in this direction.

"How's he?" Theo asks.

"He's still conscious but he can barely hold on." I couldn't even open my eyes at this rate but I fight to keep it open.

"I will begin to heal you now." I can feel a warm sensation running through my body. I feel a little relax and manage to open my eyes again. I can see a face of a teenage boy that has drenched in sweat.

"Can I... get my hand back? Will you... be able to heal it?" Theo reluctantly shake his head. I can feel my eyes tear up and my heart feels heavy.

"I'm sorry," he apologize. I lightly shake my head.

"Also, you have too many blood loss. I think it's a miracle that you still haven't faint. Even if I manage to heal the wound, you still need a blood donation to be injected in your body."

"What... are the chances... for me to die... if I don't... get.. blood donation?"

"The chances are... very high." I close my eyes in surrender the moment he comfirm it. I smile bitterly.

"You can... stop now. There's no way... I can... survive."

"But, Mister!"

"Please... tell the... leader... Gunther... has done his... best. Don't... punish him... for my death." My breathing become more unsteady the more I talk. All the sounds begin to fade as I wait for my death. Then I hear a stern voice that I'm very much familiar with.

"That won't do." I open my eyes to see a woman in her twenties. She has dark blue hair with a pair of eyes that resembles the moon. Her skin is fair and smoother than anything I have seen. Honestly, she's more beautiful than any idol or celebrities I have seen on television.

It's hard to talk to her sometimes due to her beauty. She can easily make any men nervous just by a simple stare. However, her strength and attitude has made it clear to guess what would happen to the man who tries to flirt with her.

"As a leader, he should take responsibility for letting this thing to happen. He should have sent other people to meet you in case anything happens since they have finished their task." She looks at Gunther coldly. He can only stare at the floor without daring to raise his head.

Then she turns to me. As I stare into her eyes, I realized that she didn't look worry at all. "I also need to take responsibility as your leader since I promise to not let any of you die."

She bend on her knees and put her hands on my shoulder. Theo step aside with a confusion on his face. Everyone here has the same look on their face. I can hear a whisper coming out of her mouth.

"Reconstruction."

A silver light coming out of her hands and covered my entire body. I can feel the blood in my body circulate in a high rate and gather around my empty arm. I could see flesh start to come out of the lost arm. The flesh begin to form the shape of an arm.

A few seconds later, a perfectly fine arm is firmly attach to my shoulder. I look at my right arm in shock. Unlike my left arm that is tanned color, my right arm is white and clear, like a newborn. "H-how..."

"No need to look so shocked. I simply use my ability." She casually say that as if it's not a big deal.

"You... also have a healing ability?" Theo ask, just as shock as me. She shakes her head at the question.

"No. My ability is a bit different."

"Is it called, 'reconstruction'?" I ask her about what I heard she whispered earlier.

"You're half right," she smiles mysteriously. Looks like she doesn't want to tell us about her ability yet. But now I'm certain that she's the one who keeps healing us after the training. And for now, I think that's enough to know.
