It was equally perplexing that Jaxon became a physical education teacher at Goldenleaf University.
The university is a well-known institution nationwide, and it's not a place where just anyone can become a teacher. Jaxon's background, however, seemed to lack the qualifications typically required for such a position. He graduated from an ordinary school, and after graduation, he had never worked in education or sports-related fields. So, how did he suddenly land a teaching position at such a prestigious university?
If Jaxon had the kind of background that someone like Lily or Li Bing had, it would have been more understandable. However, the strange thing was that Jaxon had no such background. He was just an ordinary person, yet he managed to achieve this, which was hard for some to accept.
Could anyone become a teacher at Goldenleaf University? Clearly not. Even Lily and Li Bing, aside from their family connections, had the advantage of graduating from well-known schools, which helped them secure their teaching positions.
What about Jaxon?
He had nothing!
"Could it be that he has something I haven't uncovered in my investigation?" Wang Ziming thought to himself. "But his background is quite simple. There shouldn't be any way for him to conceal his true situation. It's strange, really strange."
Wang Ziming had become very interested in Jaxon. Coincidentally, he was also planning to meet Jaxon, which would give him a chance to have a chat with him.
Jaxon was unaware that Kong Hailin wanted to deal with him and that Wang Ziming had taken a great interest in him. He was still busy with his barbecue business.
"I wonder if my business will be affected since I haven't been there for two days," Jaxon thought as he headed to his previous stall with his still rather rudimentary equipment.
"Boss is here!"
"Boss, you're finally here?!"
"That's great. I've been waiting for days. Boss, if you hadn't shown up, I was going to call the police!"
To Jaxon's surprise, as soon as he arrived near his stall, there were already people waiting there, and they became extremely excited upon seeing him.
"I have such loyal fans at my barbecue stall. Not bad, not bad," Jaxon thought to himself with a hint of pride.
"Boss, hurry up. I can't wait any longer."
"Boss, where have you been the past two days? I've been craving your barbecue."
"Boss, give me two skewers of pork belly, a pig's trotter, and two pairs of chicken wings..."
"I was here first! I want two portions of squid and ten skewers of meat..."
Jaxon was quickly surrounded by people. Although there were only five or six of them, it gave Jaxon a feeling as if he were a celebrity being chased by fans. Of course, he knew that what they were after was the barbecue he made.
"Everyone, calm down. Wait until I set up my stuff, and I'll serve you one by one," Jaxon said.
The owners of the nearby barbecue stalls looked at Jaxon with a mix of envy and jealousy. Although they also had customers at their stalls, none of them had the kind of loyal fans that Jaxon had, who would wait for him in advance. After all, their skills were similar to other stalls, and if their customers didn't come, they could easily go to other places with similar taste.
However, Jaxon's situation was different. During the two days that Jaxon hadn't been there, they had seen people wandering around Jaxon's stall every day, waiting for him to show up. How could this not make them envious?
Moreover, as soon as Jaxon appeared, these stall owners angrily noticed that some of the people who had intended to eat at their stalls also shifted their attention to Jaxon's stall.
"This young man is really going too far. Isn't he taking our business and robbing us of our livelihood? Business isn't done this way!" one of the barbecue stall owners said indignantly as he saw more and more people gathering at Jaxon's stall.
"Exactly! If he continues like this, how are we supposed to do business in the future? He's taking everything for himself," another owner said, equally upset.
Many customers left their stalls and went to Jaxon's because of his appearance. As a result, the business of these barbecue stall owners suddenly became very quiet. There were hardly any customers at their stalls. Those customers would rather wait in line at Jaxon's stall than eat faster at their places. This also gave these stall owners some free time to gather together.
Of course, these barbecue stall owners did not like this kind of leisure. They wanted to be as busy as Jaxon.
"By the way, how about the thing we talked about last time? Have you found the person?" one of the barbecue stall owners suddenly spoke up.
The others were slightly stunned for a moment, but then they understood what he meant.
"We did find someone," another owner said. "We've also given them a heads-up, but since this young man hasn't been coming these past two days, we thought he had quit, so we didn't have anyone come over. After all, it costs money to call those people over."
"Spending some money is a minor issue. We can split the cost among our stalls. Each of us won't have to pay much," a chubby owner nearby said. "But now, we really can't afford not to call them. Otherwise, we won't be able to continue our business."
"I agree," someone else said.
"I'm in favor," another owner chimed in.
The barbecue stall owners all expressed their agreement. They were very resentful towards Jaxon for taking their business. Naturally, they wanted to find a way to take it back. It seemed that normal competition was no longer an option. Although they hadn't tasted Jaxon's barbecue, seeing how customers preferred to wait in line at his stall rather than eat at theirs already spoke volumes. Previously, they had thought that many people in Jaxon's crowd were plants, but now they didn't think so anymore. This was because many of those people used to be their customers, and they recognized them. Now, all of them had switched to Jaxon's side.
So, in order to take their business back, they had to think of other ways and could no longer go through normal channels.
While the barbecue stall owners were chatting and conspiring, Jaxon was busy as a bee, with sweat already forming on his forehead. Even though his movements were quick, he still felt overwhelmed. At this moment, he really wished he had some help.
"I should have asked someone to help me," Jaxon thought to himself. "If this continues, I really need to hire someone, or I'll work myself to death."
"Mr. Jaxon, do you need any help?"
Just as Jaxon was feeling overwhelmed, a familiar voice reached his ears. He looked up and saw a familiar figure that surprised him.
