What do you teach?

"Yeah, I have classes today, so I came over," Jaxon replied with a smile.

"Why haven't you been around these past few days?" Sun Yue asked as he sat back down at his desk. "You just started, and you've already taken so many days off. Is that really appropriate?"

"It's fine," Jaxon said.

Sun Yue felt that it wasn't quite right for Jaxon to be absent for several days right after starting. The school's leadership might not be pleased. However, Jaxon wasn't worried. After all, it was something that Vice Principal Yue Linshan had agreed to.

"As long as you're clear in your own mind," Sun Yue said. This was ultimately Jaxon's business, and Sun Yue couldn't say much more. He was just offering a reminder.

Soon after, the other teachers in the office arrived one by one. They all seemed somewhat surprised to see Jaxon at work.

"Jaxon, where were you the past couple of days?" Geng Yafei asked.

"I had some things to take care of," Jaxon said.

"You, a poor guy, sure seem to have a lot of issues," Li Bing remarked dismissively as he lifted a dumbbell. During the last gathering, Jaxon had said he had something to do in the evening. Then he missed classes for two days, and now he was saying he had things to do again. Jaxon certainly had a lot going on.

"Whether I have things to do or not is none of your business," Jaxon said. "Also, you owe me money. Shouldn't you pay it back?"

"It's just a small amount. Only a poor guy like you would keep it in mind," Li Bing said.

Although he was annoyed inside, he still transferred the money he owed, along with what Manager Huang owed, to Jaxon. He didn't want to let a small amount of money cause Jaxon to tarnish his reputation.

Receiving twenty thousand all at once, Jaxon's mood instantly improved.

"Mr. Jaxon, it's not good to keep taking leave right after starting your job. If there's nothing important, it's better to come to work every day," Geng Yafei advised.

"It won't be a problem if I don't come," Jaxon said casually.

"You're really full of yourself. Do you think Goldenleaf University is your family business?" Li Bing said again, annoyed. He was very upset whenever he saw Geng Yafei talking to Jaxon.

"Whether or not it's my family business, it's definitely not yours," Jaxon retorted. "Also, when people aren't talking to you, please don't butt in. It's very impolite and shows a lack of upbringing."

"Jaxon, are you asking for trouble? How dare you talk to me like that?" Li Bing said angrily. No one had ever scolded him like that, not even his own parents.

"He who starts the provocation is the one who is cheap," Jaxon said indifferently.

"You..."

"Li Bing, I'm talking to Mr. Jaxon. Please don't interrupt," Geng Yafei said.

"Alright, alright, I won't speak!" Li Bing said angrily, though he kept his eyes fixed on Jaxon, as if he wanted to tear him apart.

"Mr. Jaxon, Goldenleaf University is a well-known institution in the country, and it has strict requirements for discipline. If you keep taking leave, you might get punished," Geng Yafei said, still worried.

"Thank you for your concern, Ms. Geng. I won't be in trouble because someone has given me permission not to come," Jaxon said.

Jaxon didn't want to mention Vice Principal Yue Linshan's name. It would be like taking advantage of a backdoor, which wasn't something to be proud of. He didn't want to get Yue Linshan involved because of himself. Otherwise, he might lose the privilege of being able to skip work whenever he wanted.

Jaxon's words left the other people in the office puzzled and speculating.

Clearly, Jaxon must have some backing to act so openly. Otherwise, he wouldn't dare to skip work so casually.

However, what kind of protection did Jaxon have? Even rich second-generation individuals like Geng Yafei and Li Bing couldn't just come and go as they pleased. Unless they didn't want to teach here anymore, they had to follow the school's rules. Goldenleaf University wasn't a local institution. Although Geng Yafei and Li Bing's families had some influence in Goldenleaf City, they didn't have many privileges when it came to Goldenleaf University.

Yet, Jaxon managed to do what Geng Yafei and Li Bing couldn't. Did this mean that Jaxon had an even stronger background than them?

However, Jaxon didn't seem like someone with a strong background.

"Humph, making a mystery out of nothing!" Unable to figure it out, Li Bing could only snort coldly to show his disdain for Jaxon.

As for Geng Yafei, seeing that Jaxon didn't want to elaborate and knowing that he wouldn't get into trouble, she didn't say anything more. However, she became curious about Jaxon's background as well.

"Oh, right. Wang Shao asked me to let you know that he'd like you to contact him when you have time," Geng Yafei suddenly remembered what Wang Ziming had told her.

"Which Wang Shao?" Jaxon couldn't remember who "Wang Shao" was that Geng Yafei was referring to.

"Wang Ziming," Geng Yafei rolled her eyes at Jaxon. "He seems to have something to talk to you about. But he didn't have your contact information, so he asked me to pass the message along."

"Him? What could he want with me?" Jaxon asked, puzzled. He and Wang Ziming had only met once and had no further interactions. Why would he be looking for him?

"I have no idea. He didn't tell me," Geng Yafei shrugged. "Just call him and you'll find out."

"Alright," Jaxon said.

Although Jaxon didn't want to have much to do with these rich second-generation individuals, since Wang Ziming was reaching out to him, he felt it was necessary to find out what it was about. During their last encounter, Wang Ziming had not shown favoritism towards Liu Yidao, which had left a good impression on Jaxon.

Around ten o'clock, during the third class of the morning, it was time for Jaxon's physical education class. At this time, many classes had physical education, so all six teachers in their office had classes.

Of course, Goldenleaf University didn't only have these six physical education teachers; the others were in different offices.

"Oh, right. Mr. Jaxon, what exactly are you teaching?" Before leaving, Teacher Sun Yue asked Jaxon.

He had asked the same question during their first meeting, but at that time, Jaxon didn't know either, saying that the school hadn't assigned him anything yet. Now that Jaxon was about to teach his first class, it must have been arranged.

"I'm teaching basket..." Jaxon said casually while looking at his phone.

However, he stopped mid-sentence, his eyes fixed on the information on his phone in disbelief.

The message on his phone was from the school, which, in addition to notifying him of his class schedule, also included the content he was supposed to teach. Last night, Jaxon had only paid attention to the class schedule and hadn't really noticed the teaching content. He had assumed he would be teaching basketball, after all, he was recruited by Vice Principal Yue Linshan because of his basketball skills, or at least that's what he thought.

But the information on his phone clearly said otherwise.

It was swimming class!

And it was a girls' swimming class!

Jaxon felt like he had been hit by a ton of bricks.
