"How could this happen?"

When Li Bing entered the principal's office, he found that there was already someone else inside—Vice Principal Yue Linshan.

Goldenleaf University had several vice principals, but the most powerful one was Yue Linshan. The principal was often away attending meetings, and didn't manage things within the school as much. In contrast, Yue Linshan was responsible for all the major and minor matters within the school.

"Teacher Li, is there something you need?" the principal asked, with Yue Linshan also looking at Li Bing.

Both principals knew about Li Bing's background. However, compared to the fear that people like Li Tian and Wang Fu had toward Li Bing's background, these two principals weren't particularly concerned. Both of them had solid backgrounds themselves, and their positions gave them even more leverage, so they weren't afraid of Li Bing.

Li Bing knew this as well, so he didn't dare to act too recklessly in front of them.

"Principal, I'm here to report something," Li Bing stepped forward and took out his phone. "Last night, something very serious happened on the street in front of our school—about ten people fought in public. Among them was one of our teachers. As a teacher at Goldenleaf University, I was shocked and enraged when I heard about this. The teacher was fighting publicly, which has a terrible influence and is damaging the reputation of our school. I hope the school can handle this matter seriously, and remove this bad apple from our teaching staff to maintain the school's image."

"This video was taken by students who were on site last night. The person in the white shirt is our new teacher, named Jaxon. I've noticed his bad behavior and character from the start, and now he's doing something like this. He truly is a troublemaker among us. I don't know how someone like this got hired—maybe they used some connections," Li Bing said, his voice filled with righteous anger.

The two principals watched the video, and Yue Linshan casually said, "The troublemaker you're referring to was hired by me. Are you implying that I abused my power?"

Li Bing, who had been pretending to be angry, froze. Then, looking somewhat bewildered, he said, "No, that's not what I meant."

Li Bing never expected that Jaxon had been personally hired by Yue Linshan. He had thought it was some middle-level staff who used connections to get Jaxon in, after all, he was just a physical education teacher, and it wasn't too difficult for a middle manager to pull some strings.

But now he realized, Jaxon was actually hired directly by Yue Linshan, whose power at Goldenleaf University was well known. Even other vice principals couldn't compare to him in terms of authority.

"Whether that's what you meant or not is not important," Yue Linshan said, his expression unchanged. "From what I know of Jaxon, I don't agree with your assessment of him. He's an excellent teacher, with strong teaching skills, and is loved by the students. On the school's internal forum, his students all praise him highly. Also, about last night, I already knew about it. Jaxon did nothing wrong, and in fact, he should be commended. Many of our students were present at the scene, and Jaxon demonstrated that he would not bow to social evil forces. He proved that evil can never overpower justice, and he gave a valuable lesson to the students. This kind of teacher, this kind of behavior, we should widely promote and set as a model. I came to speak to the principal this morning precisely about this. I suggest that the school officially reward Jaxon and publicize his actions so that students can learn from him."

Yue Linshan's words stunned Li Bing. He hadn't expected to hear such a completely different perspective from what he had in mind.

Not only was Jaxon not going to be fired, but he would actually be rewarded and publicized?

How could this happen? This shouldn't be the case.

Li Bing couldn't understand, and he couldn't accept it. He turned to look at the principal, wanting to know his stance.

The principal wouldn't be on Yue Linshan's side, would he?

"Teacher Li, before you came in, Yue Linshan already told me about last night's incident," the principal said, putting down Li Bing's phone, adjusting his glasses, and speaking faintly. "I have agreed with his suggestion to publicly praise Jaxon's actions and encourage the students to learn from him."

How could this be? The principal also agreed with Yue Linshan?

Li Bing felt like he was about to collapse. This was not the result he had hoped for.

"Teacher Li, you came at just the right time. Please tell Jaxon that the school understands and supports him, and we hope he continues to do well and stay true to his principles," Yue Linshan said to Li Bing.

Li Bing immediately felt a sense of disgust.

Was he being asked to pass on the school's reward and encouragement to Jaxon?

Was this some kind of joke? Wasn't this just to make him uncomfortable?

Li Bing had originally planned to contact Jaxon after leaving this office, but that was when he thought the principal would listen to his complaint and fire Jaxon. He had planned to mock Jaxon.

But now?

Now the situation was completely different from what he had imagined. How could he have the heart to contact Jaxon? That would be worse than eating a fly.

"Is there a problem, Teacher Li?" The principal asked, looking at Li Bing. "This shouldn't be too difficult, should it?"

"N-no... not difficult," Li Bing forced a smile, looking more miserable than if he were crying.

Suddenly, Li Bing seemed to remember something and quickly said, "But Jaxon, aside from teaching, is rarely at school. He often skips work. A teacher with no discipline can't teach students well. I think the school should reconsider rewarding him."

Li Bing had always had a problem with Jaxon skipping work. He had never dared to do it himself, but Jaxon dared. Now that he had the chance, he wanted to report it.

Surely, once the school learned about this, they would cancel the reward for Jaxon.

Li Bing was confident—he was sure of it.

"This matter was approved by me," Yue Linshan spoke again. "And I've already informed the principal."

The principal nodded in agreement as he saw the look of despair on Li Bing's face.

How could this happen?

Li Bing cried out in his heart.
