Obtaining skills

Tristan could now feel the pain from the several injuries that he got once he began thinking about them. Due to his evolved body, Tristan didn't lose too much blood because the clogging was almost in an instant but this didn't mean that his injuries had healed up. If a beast clawed on the same injury or if the clogging was undone, then he would continue to lose blood which was life threatening. He had to find a way to get cured.

"Only by killing these corrupted beasts can I grow stronger by getting those stat points and assign them to my characteristic, if I am strong, I can protect the once that I want like my friend Rachel."

"Yes. There they are. Hahaha!" Tristan collected the two red cards from the floor that he received after killing the four beasts.

[ Obtained level 1 skill: Buddha hands. ]

[ Obtained level 1 skill: king Fisher legs. ]

[ Buddha hands: This skill involves becoming an absolute pro in boxing. It not only makes one proficient in boxing but also, it makes the user's hands to 'multiply' thus becoming a Buddha. In the face of your enemy, you are no longer two handed but more-handed. Note that this skill requires one to have an agility of 10 points and it also diminishes the user's stamina and endurance by 1 point in a minute. ]

[ King Fisher legs: this skill involves having 'inconspicuous' legs. One's legs will move like an exited fish tail in water. This skill is also more about the movement technique in it as it can disorient the opponent while allowing the opponent to expose their flaws in their techniques thus allowing the user to use their opponents blackspots to finish them off. Note that this technique requires an agility of 10 points. ]

After reading the description of both the two techniques, Tristan was no longer smiling because he was not that compatible with both the two techniques.

"This won't be helpful!" Tristan didn't learn the two techniques as he didn't met the requirements because he had an agility of 5. He kept the two red cards and stared at the continuous mayhem. Oooh! One can not believe it but even if most of the people who were on this floor had been taken out by the corrupted beasts, the remaining people managed to kill all the beasts on the floor and held the incoming ones back, yes, it was not just Tristan who was growing stronger but also other desperate souls out there were also growing stronger to hold against the corrupted ones, right now, only one or two few beasts could be seen coming from the stairway towards them.

Anyway, one should know that Tristan didn't took too much time on inspecting the two skills, thus, the other corrupted beasts had yet to find some way to reach to them so that they could take the space left by their dead comrades.

"Rachel! Come over we need to escape from this floor." 

This was the voice that reminded Tristan that he risked his life to come over because he wanted to rescue Rachel from being eaten by the two beasts.

Staring at the owner of the voice, Tristan could see Benjamin taking Rachel into his embrace and Rachel didn't refuse because she was too jittery and the only thing that she wanted right now was a chest to lean on. It seemed like Benjamin had come back and he didn't escape like everyone thought.

Beside Benjamin, Tristan could see Paul with his stoic appearance.

However, when Tristan saw Benjamin being intimate with Rachel, he could not hold himself back anylonger. After all, it could be said that Benjamin was now his enemy.

"Put her down, and I will take this while lying down!" Tristan ordered Benjamin threateningly. If Benjamin didn't get what he had told him, then he would have to be nasty. Definitely.

Make no mistake! Benjamin was a low profile individual who was also one of Paul's friends, yes! 

"Tristan. Just stop now. Who will like a creep like you! Humph! I asked you to help me when the corrupted beasts had surrounded me at that time but you didn't come to help... You have no shame for sure. Just forget about me." Rachel reprimanded Tristan with a displeased look. One could even see disdain behind her disdainful gesture.

After all, at the time that Tristan saved Rachel, she had buried her face between her legs and she didn't saw Tristan fighting for her at that time, In her mind, it was Paul and Benjamin that saved her because they were the ones who woke her up and when she opened her eyes, the beasts were no where to be seen.

"Rachel, it's not like that..." Tristan tried to explain himself but he was suddenly interjected by Benjamin,

"How dare you! I am the one that saved Rachel and now, you have to be shameless and show your stupid face while asking for her? Rachel needed you but you didn't show up, you don't deserve to be her friend. You stinky dark sheep." Benjamin berated Tristan vehemently as if Tristan had done something utterly bad to him. All the stress that Benjamin went through while fighting the corrupted ones were left to flow out as he put all the blem of his misery on Tristan.
