A friend

"Oooh sorry! I am usually absentminded." Tristan opened the door and got out of the driver's seat. Still at this moment, he was still scratching his belly, one could even catch a glimpse at his red belly that was dripping with blood, without even knowing, he had scratched his belly until scratching wounds had formed, his black t-shirt was also rather drenched in his own blood from his several lesions.

"Take the driver's seat please." Tristan welcomed the fortune teller to be the driver as he himself opened the back passenger door. He was itching everywhere and it was just getting worse by each time so, he feared that he would not concentrate on driving the car.

On the other hand, the fortune teller smiled and caressed the head of his woman before saying, "I am so sorry friend, we will have to trouble you to drive us to the hospital. As for driving a car, I don't know anything about it, but if you can get a spacecraft for me, then that's where my skills would be useful. I am totally adept at controlling spacecrafts..." He paused for a while before he continued, "You know that stupid thing said by Julius Ostrovsky that: ''''One should go for the greater good and stop demeaning themselves with their little surroundings, there are bigger opportunities for them out there, even if it might be risky or stupid, they should still chase for them.'''' This is actually the reason why I refused to learn how to drive a hover car and instead, I chose to drive spacecrafts."

After hearing what the fortune teller had just said, Tristan was speechless. To Tristan, he believed in starting from small things and then ascend the steps slowly by slowly but to this fortune teller, he believed in going for the ultimate goal while ignoring the small basics, all this just because one of the few successful people said so.

Reluctantly, Tristan got into the driver's seat but before he banged the door, he took a quick glance at what the fortune teller was carrying and his eyes lit up.

"Friend, do you mind giving me some?" Tristan asked expectantly.

"Of course, if you want." The fortune teller took one of the liquor bottle from his backpack and gave it to Tristan. He also gave him a pack of cigarettes before he helped his woman onto the backseat and then he himself also climbed in.

Without further ado, Tristan quickly drove the car, he glanced at the frail woman beside him and he could not help but feel contented. For some reasons, he was starting to get this possessive feelings towards the frail woman even if he knew that this woman was not his but for a stupid guy called Parker.

'I will protect you for sure." Tristan caressed the ponytailed hair of the woman possessively. He had not refuted the fortune teller's demand to head to the hospital because he himself also needed to attend to his injuries, not to mention that also the frail woman beside him had also injured her knee, he had to seek some medication to help the woman before her knee injury became worse. Then after coming from the hospital, he would then have to head to the location that was sent to him by an unknown person so that he could start searching for the gate to the evolution pool, yes, Tristan could not allow to stay any longer in this world, he just wanted to go home and chill. The notion of growing stronger was not even a part of him as he only killed the beasts to survive while he came to this world because his dad forced him. Tristan being here was not his decision.
