A Shocking Secret
Ashaas's heart was racing as she walked into the library, searching for Neel. They had plans to study together, but Neel was nowhere to be found.
As she scanned the room, Ashaas's eyes landed on a familiar face - Neel's best friend, Rohan. He was sitting at a table, surrounded by books and notes.
Ashaas walked over to him, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Hey, Rohan," she said. "Have you seen Neel?"
Rohan looked up, his eyes filled with a mixture of guilt and concern. "Ashaas, I need to talk to you about something," he said, his voice low and serious.
Ashaas's heart skipped a beat as she felt a sense of unease wash over her. "What is it?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Rohan hesitated, looking around the room nervously. "Let's go outside," he said, getting up from his seat.
Ashaas followed him, her mind racing with possibilities. What could Rohan possibly want to tell her?
As they walked outside, Rohan turned to her, his eyes filled with a deep sadness. "Ashaas, I don't know how to tell you this," he said. "But Neel...he's not who you think he is."
Ashaas's heart stopped as she felt a wave of shock wash over her. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice shaking.
Rohan took a deep breath before speaking. "Neel...he's been in trouble before. He's been arrested, Ashaas. For assault."
Ashaas felt like she had been punched in the gut. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Neel, the boy she loved, the boy she thought she knew...he was a stranger to her.
She felt a wave of emotions wash over her - shock, anger, fear. She didn't know what to do, or what to think.
As she stood there, frozen in shock, Rohan put a hand on her shoulder. "Ashaas, I'm so sorry," he said. "I know this is a lot to take in. But I had to tell you. You deserve to know the truth."
Ashaas nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Rohan. She knew that he had done this for her, to protect her.
But as she stood there, trying to process this shocking revelation, Ashaas couldn't help but wonder...what else didn't she know about Neel ?
Breaking Free
Ashaas's heart was heavy as she walked away from Rohan, her mind reeling with the shocking revelation. She couldn't believe that Neel, the boy she loved, had a dark past.
As she walked, Ashaas felt a wave of emotions wash over her - anger, sadness, fear. She didn't know what to do, or what to think.
But as she walked, something inside of her began to shift. She felt a sense of clarity wash over her, a sense of purpose.
She knew that she had to break up with Neel. She couldn't continue dating someone who had a history of violence.
Ashaas took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. She knew that breaking up with Neel wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to do it.
As she walked to Neel's house, Ashaas felt a sense of trepidation. What would Neel say when she told him that she knew about his past?
Would he deny it? Would he get angry?
Ashaas didn't know, but she was determined to stand her ground.
When she arrived at Neel's house, Ashaas took a deep breath before knocking on the door.
Neel answered, a smile on his face. "Hey," he said, pulling her into a hug.
Ashaas felt a pang of sadness as she hugged him back. She knew that this would be the last time they hugged, the last time they kissed.
"Neel," she said, pulling back. "We need to talk."
Neel looked at her, concern etched on his face. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Ashaas took a deep breath before speaking. "I know about your past," she said, her voice firm. "I know about the arrest."
Neel's face fell, and he looked away. "Who told you?" he muttered.
Ashaas felt a surge of anger. "That's not the point," she said. "The point is that you lied to me. You told me that you were a good person, but you're not."
Neel looked at her, his eyes filled with tears. "Ashaas, please," he said. "I know I made a mistake, but I promise I'll never hurt anyone again."
Ashaas felt a pang of sadness as she looked at Neel. She knew that he was sorry, but she also knew that she couldn't trust him.
"Neel," she said, her voice firm. "I deserve better than someone who has a history of violence. I deserve better than someone who lies to me."
Neel looked at her, his eyes filled with sadness. "Ashaas, please don't go," he said.
But Ashaas was resolute. She knew that she had to leave, for her own sake.
"I'm sorry, Neel," she said, turning to walk away.
As she walked, Ashaas felt a sense of freedom wash over her. She knew that she had made the right decision, no matter how hard it was.
She knew that she deserved better than Neel, and she was determined to find it.
