Chapter 8: Moving On
Ashaas took a deep breath as she walked away from Neel's house. She felt a sense of relief wash over her, mixed with a hint of sadness. She knew that breaking up with Neel was the right decision, but it was still hard to let go.
She had invested so much of her time and emotions into the relationship, and it was hard to just walk away. But Ashaas knew that she had to move on. She couldn't let Neel's past define her, and she couldn't let his mistakes hold her back.
As she walked, Ashaas felt a sense of determination wash over her. She was going to focus on herself, on her studies and her friends. She was going to move on from Neel and start a new chapter in her life.
When she got home, Ashaas's parents were waiting for her in the living room. They looked concerned, and Ashaas knew that they had been worried about her.
"Ashaas, beta, how are you?" her mother asked, getting up to hug her.
Ashaas smiled, feeling a sense of comfort in her mother's arms. "I'm okay, Mummy," she said. "I just needed some time to think."
Her father nodded, his eyes filled with understanding. "We're here for you, beta," he said. "Whatever you need, we're here to support you."
Ashaas felt a sense of gratitude towards her parents. She knew that they would always be there for her, no matter what.
Over the next few weeks, Ashaas threw herself into her studies and her friends. She joined a new club at school, and she started volunteering at a local charity.
She also started spending more time with her friends, going out for coffee and movies. Ashaas felt like she was finally starting to move on from Neel, and she was grateful for the support of her loved ones.
As she sat in class one day, Ashaas felt a sense of peace wash over her. She was finally starting to feel like herself again, and she was grateful for the journey.
She knew that breaking up with Neel had been the right decision, and she was excited to see what the future held.
As she walked out of class, Ashaas's phone buzzed with a text from her best friend, Riya. "Hey, girl! Want to grab coffee and catch up?"
Ashaas smiled, feeling a sense of excitement. She loved spending time with Riya, and she was always up for a good coffee date.
"Definitely!" she replied. "When and where?"
Riya responded with a time and place, and Ashaas smiled as she put her phone away. She was excited to spend time with her friend, and she was grateful for the distraction from Neel.
As she walked to the coffee shop, Ashaas felt a sense of freedom wash over her. She was finally starting to move on from Neel, and she was excited to see what the future held.
When she arrived at the coffee shop, Riya was already there, sipping on a latte. Ashaas smiled as she hugged her friend, feeling a sense of comfort and familiarity.
"Hey, girl!" Riya said, as they sat down at a table. "I'm so glad we're doing this. I've missed you."
Ashaas smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her friend. "I've missed you too," she said. "I'm so glad we're catching up."
As they sipped their coffee and chatted, Ashaas felt a sense of peace wash over her. She was finally starting to move on from Neel, and she was grateful for the support of her loved ones.
But as they talked, Ashaas couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. She missed Neel, despite everything that had happened. She missed the way he made her laugh, the way he held her hand.
Riya noticed the look on her face and reached out to take her hand. "Hey, girl, it's okay," she said. "You're going to get through this. You're strong."
Ashaas smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her friend. "Thanks, Riya," she said. "Just talking to you makes me feel better."
As they finished their coffee and said their goodbyes, Ashaas felt a sense of hope wash over her. She knew that she still had a long way to go, but she was ready to face whatever came next.
