14. Montreal Continent

Gavin sat cross-legged inside the sealed space, his red eyes closed in focused meditation as he waited for his clone to return.

The information was crucial—he needed to confirm whether the outsiders were human or resembled them.

The answer would not determine the next steps for himself and his tribe.

But he can make the plan more perfect.

The past hours had been a test of patience, but also an opportunity.

Gavin had spent the time drawing spiritual energy into the vast space within his body, a process that had become second nature to him.

For the past five days, he had devoted himself entirely to this practice, absorbing spiritual energy without pause and refining it into liquid form.

The constant effort had not only increased the reserves of spiritual water he had accumulated but had also deepened his understanding of the energy itself.

Now, with a mere thought, he could transform spiritual energy into its liquid form with far greater efficiency.

His absorption speed had surged, and the results were evident.

Over the last 15 hours alone, he had expanded the spiritual water within his inner space from a width of 1,000 meters to 1,700 meters.

But Gavin wasn't done. He had no intention of halting his progress.

His gaze was fixed on a distant goal—reaching 2,000 meters.

A lingering curiosity pushed him forward.

Would achieving that milestone lead him back to the mysterious white space he had encountered before? The memory of it lingered in his mind, an enigma he was determined to unravel.

As he continued his absorption, a faint ripple of awareness broke his focus.

His clone had entered his range. Instantly, the connection between his spirit and the clone's spirit reestablished itself, seamless and natural.

The flow of information was immediate.

Gavin's mind was flooded with the clone's memories, starting from the moment it had left the range of his spirit the previous day.

Each memory played out with perfect clarity: the encounter with the humans, the sensations of the snow and forest, the brief skirmish by the pond, and finally, the journey back toward the tribe with the captured human.

Gavin's eyes snapped open, their red glow flickering in the black seal space.

His mind processed the information rapidly.

He is waiting for the clone to enter his spirit field then he can read the memory of the human.

Then make the decision.

After some, the wolf with flying snow around it enters the valley and comes to a halt.

The clone with his fast speed running on the lower part at such a fast speed broke some bones on the human and made him awake.

The human was unable to struggle as his clone was running at fast speed and his body was tied to the back of the clone.

And now with his broken bone, he is unable to move but before he can cry in pain. Gavin uses his spirit field to break the human's sea of consciousness and starts absorbing the human's soul.

His clone dropped the unconscious human from its back without a second glance, the limp body landing unceremoniously on the ground. Without delay, the clone turned and disappeared into the forest, heading back to its home to rest.

Gavin stepped forward, his focus shifting entirely to the human lying before him. Closing his eyes, he delved into the man's mind, sifting through the layers of memory that stretched back to childhood. The process was seamless, his spirit absorbing and unraveling the fragments of the man's soul with practiced ease.

1st Year: Gavin watched through the human's infant eyes, observing the man's parents and siblings. The language spoken was foreign to him, but as the boy grew, so did Gavin's understanding.

By the end of this year, Gavin had mastered the human tongue. He also learned the human's name: Willie.

2nd Year: The concept of identity became clearer.

Gavin discovered why humans like Willie had no surnames—their family, like many others, were born as serfs under the Wright Barony.

3rd Year: The village came into view. Walton Village is a small, quiet settlement nestled within the barony.

4th to 7th Years: Willie's days were filled with simple joys and hard labor. Gavin saw the boy playing with other children, running through the fields, and helping his family with farming tasks.

It was during these years that Gavin encountered something that piqued his curiosity: the concept of gods. The villagers worshipped them fervently, their lives steeped in rituals and prayers.

8th Year: A major shift in Willie's life unfolded. As the second son, Willie couldn't inherit his family's small field.

Instead, he was sent to the baron's estate to train as a Knight. He was selected because of his excellent, sturdy body and their family served the baron for four generations.

Gavin followed the boy's journey as he entered the main town of the Wright Barony for the first time, his awe and nervousness etched into the memory.

9th to 14th Years: Willie's training as a knight servant began in earnest.

He trained alongside other boys, learning the art of combat, the rules of servitude, and the skills necessary to serve the barony.

During this period, Gavin gained insight into the political landscape surrounding the Wright Barony—the neighboring nobles, the barony's enemies, and the larger framework of the Rhine Kingdom, to which the barony belonged.

He also learned of other races living across the Montreal Continent, their relationships with humans marked by tension and occasional cooperation.

Gavin watched as Willie dedicated himself to his training, striving to rise above his station. Yet, the boy's efforts ultimately fell short.

In his 14th year, Willie failed the final test to attain the title of knight. The rejection cast him out of the baron's house, a crushing blow to his aspirations.

However, his training didn't go to waste. Willie managed to secure a position with the Town Guard, finding a place within the barony despite his failure.

15th Year: This was a year of transformation. Willie finally advanced to the rank of professional warrior, achieving a significant milestone in his life.

Gavin's observations revealed a structured practice system tied to the human profession, one that could potentially lead to the immortal rank. It was a revelation that intrigued Gavin, especially as he delved deeper into the intricacies of this human path to power.

16th Year: Willie's newfound status as a professional was immediately tested. That year, he participated in a war against the Black Orcs, a savage subspecies of the Orc race.

The conflict was devastating—the kingdom suffered a resounding defeat. While no territory was lost, the kingdom's resources were plundered, and its people, including Willie's comrades, were captured by the Orcs.

The Wright Barony itself paid a heavy price as its baron perished in the conflict. In the aftermath, the baron's eldest son, Elan Wright, ascended as the new baron.

17th to 21st Year: The following years were quiet but revealing. Willie continued to hone his skills, eventually advancing to the 3rd level of the warrior profession.

Gavin observed how the structure of the Wright family's nobility influenced the barony.

In the Rhine Kingdom Noble's titles were not hereditary for more than three generations, the Wright family's is a four-generation Noble.

A system of merit determined their rank: if sufficient accomplishments were not achieved within ten years, their station would be lowered by one rank.

The hierarchy was clear—Duke, Marquis, Count, Viscount, and Baron, with Baron being the lowest tier to govern a territory.

As a 4th-generation baron, Elan Wright faced a ticking clock to prove himself or risk losing the family's claim to the barony.

However, no significant opportunities arose during his first four years as a baron.

The kingdom saw no external wars, and the internal skirmishes among nobles offered no means to earn the merit required.

Only wars against foreign invaders or those initiated by the kingdom provided a chance to rise.

22nd Year: Change came with rumors that swept through the taverns of the barony. Willie overheard talk of the Seven Star Kingdom, located east of Rhine, near the Siren Ocean.

The kingdom had reportedly discovered a new land brimming with riches and opportunity.

This discovery sparked a frenzy, with kingdoms and empires along the East Coast and nearby regions launching expeditions to claim the untamed lands.

Among them was the Rhine Kingdom. The Wright Barony began recruiting troops for its expedition to the newfound world.

The opportunity ignited something in Willie, a chance to escape the monotony of his life and perhaps achieve something greater.

He enlisted under the banner of the new baron, joining the foreign expedition.

For the first time in his life, Willie set foot on a ship, leaving the familiarity of the barony behind as he embarked on a journey toward the unknown.

23rd Year: The voyage to the new land took six grueling months. When they finally arrived, the natives called the land "Pride Continent."

Their army, exhausted but determined, rested for a month before being thrown into battle against the strange new races of this land.

Gavin watched as Willie encountered the Golden Lion race, beings who resembled humans but with a majestic lion's mane encircling their heads.

Then there were the Silver Sword, humanoid creatures with shimmering silver skin and unmatched skill with the blade—every one of them a master swordsman.

Finally, Willie saw the Centaur, a race whose upper body mirrored that of humans, but whose lower half was that of a powerful horse.

24th Year: Willie's understanding of the Pride Continent expanded. He learned of two more races. One was unfamiliar: the three-eyed race, beings with a vertical third eye on their foreheads, whose presence unsettled him.

The other was familiar yet foreign: Wood Elves, though different from those in tales of his homeland.

In Montreal, Elves were split into distinct groups: the Silver Moon Elves, and the Dark Elves.

During this time, Willie learned to wield a Magic Gun, a weapon foreign to his people but devastatingly effective in combat.

With this newfound technology, their forces began turning the tide of war. Victory after victory came, but it was not without its cost.

As autumn approached, the baron made a fateful decision. He and his troops, including Willie, departed from the main army stationed in the western plains and moved toward the Eastern Forest region.

Here, the baron allied with a tribe of the three-eyed race—the Snake Tribe. Together, they conspired to annihilate two smaller tribes: the Wild Cat Tribe and the Spring Fairy Tribe.

The Baron's Goal is to create a settlement that will act as a base for the troops coming after them.

Willie's recollection shifted to the forest clearing, where his friend was struck down by the wolf—Gavin's clone—and the subsequent attack that left him unconscious.

The final fragments were disjointed, ending with Willie awakening on the back of the massive wolf.

At this point, Gavin stopped viewing the memories. He already knew what followed after that.

Gavin sat in silence, processing everything he had seen. The events were intriguing, but two aspects stood out above all: the professional practice system and the Gods these humans and races revered.

Determined to understand, he began sorting through the fragments of Willie's memories, gathering every detail about the practice system and the Gods.

He does not know the tribes- blood awakening and shaman system can lead up to the immortal rank.

But he was sure that the warrior system could be practiced up to the immortal rank which is called legend in this world. The human call their diverse practice system in a unified name- profession.

Professions are divided into 20 levels. 1-5 are called apprentice and the name of the profession, 6-10 are called Elite profession, 11-15 are called Master profession, 16-20 are called Grand Master profession, and advancing to 21 is a legend.

To become a professional in one of the professions, one has to practise the basic skills of the profession To reach a certain level of the skills, one becomes a professional with the help of the world.

The Creators of the professional system after reaching a certain level imprinted the profession in the world's rule. So, by practicing the skill of one of the professions to a certain realm one can become that profession.

To become a Warrior, one has to melee weapon specialty skill to the initial rank. Willie's spear skill reached the required rank.

He failed to become a knight because to become a knight Willie had to master three skills- melee weapon specialty, ridding, and archery.

Professions are also divided into levels- Basic, Elite, and Hero level. There are Eight basic professions- Warrior, Mage, Hunter, Thief, Priest, Artist, Druid, and Alchemist.

From these basic professions, most Elite and Hero professions are created. The Knight profession is created by taking the skill of warrior, hunter, and skill created by the knight profession creator. Which Gavin himself understood from looking at Willie's memory.

The Gods were another revelation entirely. From Willie's memories, Gavin learned that these divine beings were more powerful than even the Legends of this world. The Montreal Continent was home to many gods, their influence stretching across all races and regions.

But Willie knows only about a few- God of Light and Healing- Sigma, God of Knight, Nobles and Contract- Artius, God of Artist and Beauty- Lady Melody, God of Hunt- Artemis, God of Nature and Druids- Cellon, God of Killing and Warrior- Tyr, God of Storm, Pirates and Sea- Theodore.

These Gods are worshiped by the people of his kingdom and nearby kingdoms and Empires.

God worshiped by the Orcs, Willie Knows are God of Orc- Bravius, and God of Black Orc and Plunder- Fereon.

God worshiped by the Sea Races in the Siren Ocean is God of the Deep Ocean and Sirens- Alyasha.

God Worshiped in the Pride Continent is the God of Golden Lion and War- Angus.

With that Gavin opens his eyes making the decision the Wright family and its troop with the Snake tribe must be destroyed quickly.

He cannot let the Wright Family form a settlement and The totem of the Snake tribe advance to bronze rank otherwise the difficulty he will face will increase.

So, before any of this occur he has to destroy them. For this his clone strength and realm must increase and the strength of his tribe also.
