Flashback 6

It's been almost three months since Charlotte started working as the kitchen assistant to maid Gina, at first she was proud but Mr Young and nanny Frey made sure she learnt it well to the extent that she serves Emily food .

One day, Charlotte was preparing lunch for the family with the help of maid , she immediately felt nauseous and ran outside to throw up , maid Gina saw this and said" I think you should rest , but first let's get you to the med bay " Gina helped Charlotte up and they went to the med bay , the doctor examined her and took blood samples, he then told her to come tomorrow for the tests result .

Throughout the remaining day Charlotte was well she kept throwing up and feeling dizzy .

Emily came home that evening, she went to visit Charlotte in the maid's quaters, because she was told Charlotte was sick , she saw Mr and Mrs Young there.

"Good evening ma, good evening sir"

Emily greeted.

"How are you doing Charlotte?"Emily asked .

"Good evening dear "Mr Young replied.

Ever since that incident between Charlotte and Kyle, Mrs Young hasn't been on good terms with Emily, she supported her daughter and stopped have any connections with Emily again.

"I heard you are not feeling too well so I immediately came to check on you " Emily began.

"I'm getting better, thanks for your concern" Charlotte responded arrogantly.

Mr Young wanted to confront and reprimand Charlotte but Emily whispered"it's ok sir "

"What are some of the symptoms you are feeling so I can help in diagnosing what is actually wrong with you " Emily politely said.

Charlotte was about to refuse when Mrs Young said, "You are not a doctor so stop bothering my child"

Mr Young replied, "Charlotte tell her what's going on with you,so we can at least have an idea "

Charlotte looked at her mother for help but Mr Young wasn't taking no for an answer so Charlotte started " I have been feeling dizzy and weak and I threw out and I actually think something's wrong with my stomach"

Emily took her hand to check her pulse and examined her eyes, Emily was shocked at what she found out and her eyes darted around nervously , " what is it ?" Mr Young asked praying it was not what he was thinking.

"You are expecting" Emily said.

"Ex..... Expecting???, what...

what do you mean by that?" Charlotte said.

"I mean you are pregnant Charlotte and expecting a baby" Emily said sounding more confident than before.

"Stop saying ,what you don't know, you illiterate" Mrs Young fired at Emily.

"I'm not lying, ma , it's very obvious, but since you don't believe me wait for the test results to come out tomorrow" Emily said confidently.

"If she isn't pregnant I will throw you out of my house, I swear " Mrs Young angrily said.

"And if she is right I'm going to give all of Charlotte's inheritance to Emily" Mr Young angrily said.

"Because I have no use of a daughter that is pregnant with a bastard" Mr Young angrily added and left.

Emily followed after him , and Mrs Young comforted her daughter.

Meanwhile, when Mr Young and Emily was outside he asked Emily "Are you sure of what you are saying?"

Emily responded "I'm certain sir " .

"But I think we need to do something about your wife for fear that she will try to manipulate the doctor to do an abortion for the baby, because I think she knows I'm right, that Charlotte is actually pregnant " Emily said.

" You are right, I will have my guards install a hidden camera around there ,so we will see what's going on there " Mr Young said.

He and Emily parted ways to their various rooms and Mr Young immediately sent for guards to his chambers to do exactly as Emily said. They installed a hidden camera without the notice of the doctors around.

Later in the midnight, Mrs Young pretended she wanted to pee and got up from bed and sneaked to Charlotte's room where Charlotte was waiting for her .

Meanwhile Emily and Mr Young was watching them in their various rooms, he immediately alerted Emily when his wife stood up .

He saw , Charlotte and his wife going towards the med bay with a scarf covering Charlotte so no one would recognise her , all the maids were asleep apart from the guards that were keeping watch.

They sneakily entered the med bay and immediately went to the gynecologist and he examined her and concluded that she was actually pregnant " ohhh no , mom what are we going to do ?" Charlotte asked in panic .

"We have to abort this child, this instant before your father comes tomorrow,so we can finally get rid of Emily and start our lives afresh" Mrs Young concluded.

"But mom, how are we supposed to hurt an innocent child that has not even been born yet ?" Charlotte asked in despair, she was scared of having all her inheritance go to Emily but she was more terrified about the idea of hurting the unborn child in her stomach.

"You have to understand Charlotte, this is a mistake, not a child, and you have to get rid of this bastard before something bad happens to you because of it , you are still too young to be a mother and I certainly still want to see my daughter get married into a very wealthy family, not some poor boy you had an affair with " Mrs Young tried to talk Charlotte out of keeping her child.

Meanwhile, Mr Young and Emily had already dressed and was approaching the med bay , they walked in and went straight to the gynecologist's office where Charlotte has finally given in to her mother's wishes and was lying down on an operation table waiting for the doctor to start the abortion.

They barged in , " Natasha, how could you do this to your own daughter " Mr Young said angrily, this was the first time every one was hearing Mrs Young's name and his veins were boiling inside him but he contained himself.

"Honey, it's not what you think, I am just doing everything a mother would do to protect her daughter " Mrs Young tried to defend himself.

"I can't believe you would do this just out of hatred for Emily, what has the little girl done to you, she has always been a respective child and a responsible child and till now she is ,I don't get why you don't like her , well this has to stop and it's stopping now" Mr Young said.

Charlotte got out of the operating room and was under house arrest.

"You will remain there till you give birth to this child and till then, I don't want you and your mother to have anything to do with each other,is that understood?" Mr Young said, "yes dad "Charlotte answered while she was crying and Mr Young turned to Mrs Young "you are well understood sir" Mrs Young said.

The matter was settled and everyone went back to sleep.
