New Connections

Mimi wasn't ready to give up. Being in Bella's body gave her a unique opportunity, and she was determined to make the most of it. With Bella's face, voice, and life, Mimi had a powerful weapon. And Simon... Simon would fall for her, whether he realized it or not. She would make him love her. She had

But there was something else that had been eating away at her. Mimi needed to know who had pushed her into the water, the event that had led to her waking up in Bella's body. Who had done this to her? Why?

The night was settling in, and Mimi, now in Bella's body, felt her confidence growing. She had been working hard, solving the problems that happened when she was in a coma. Slowly, but surely, everything was falling into place.

Mimi's first priority was the jewelry plagiarism scandal. She knew it was her fault.

Soon after, Mimi's father made an announcement. To celebrate their business success, he was throwing a big celebration. Friends, family, and business associates were invited. Mimi, of course, saw this as the perfect chance to make sure her role as Bella continued to grow. She would use this event to solidify her position in the business world, and push Bella even further away.

The next morning, Bella phone suddenly rang. It was an unknown number, and curiosity got the better of her.

"Hello?" Bella answered, pausing for a moment, as she adjusted herself in front of the mirror.

A voice came through the phone that sent a chill down her spine. "I know what happened to you, Mimi."

Bella froze, her hands gripping the phone tighter.

"What do you mean?" she asked, her voice suddenly strained, trying to stay calm.

"You don't remember me, do you?" the voice said, its tone dark and cold. "I'm the one who pushed you into the lake."

Bella's s heart skipped a beat. She froze in shock. "Who is this?

The voice on the other end seemed to smirk. "You really don't remember, do you? Let me remind you. My brother loved you. He adored you. But you didn't feel the same way. You played with his heart, and when he couldn't handle it, he…" The voice trailed off, but there was a deadly silence.

Bella's stomach turned as realization slowly crept into her mind. "What are you talking about?" she whispered.

The voice continued, "My brother was heartbroken, and you… you just tossed him aside. So, I made sure you'd feel that pain. You'd never forget it."

She pieced up the puzzle and realized that this was the person who had pushed Mimi into the lake, causing them to switch bodies.

***********

Mimi had learned to use her new appearance to her advantage. Every step she took, every word she spoke, she did with precision. She wasn't just Bella now—she was an upgraded version of her, someone with the power to shape her future.

One afternoon, while at an event showcasing new jewelry designs, Mimi spotted someone she recognized from her past—an old friend and talented jewelry designer named Jake. He was standing by a table, carefully adjusting the display of rings and necklaces. His eyes lit up when he saw her approach, but it wasn't just the surprise of seeing her again. Mimi could tell from his expression that he was drawn to her—drawn to Bella's body, to her charm.

"Jake," Mimi said, smiling softly, her voice sweet. "I didn't expect to see you here."

Jake looked up, his face brightening as he saw her. "Bella? Wow, it's been so long! You look incredible."

Mimi felt a rush of satisfaction. She could see how much he was admiring her, and she loved every moment of it.

"Thank you," Mimi replied, tossing her hair back with a graceful flick. "I've been busy with some new projects. But it's nice to run into you again. How have you been?"

Jake smiled, a little nervous but clearly happy to see her. "I've been good. Been working a lot on my designs, trying to get things off the ground. You know, it's hard to make it in this industry."

Mimi nodded, her eyes glimmering with interest. "I know exactly what you mean. But you've got so much talent, Jake. I've always admired your work."

That was all she needed to say to hook him. She could see his confidence boost. He was eating up every word, every compliment.

"Thank you," Jake said, clearly flattered. "I've been trying to get some new pieces out, but I've been struggling with a bit of direction. It's hard to find the right person to work with, you know?"

Mimi leaned closer, her smile becoming more charming, her voice more inviting. "Well, I have some connections, and I know a lot of people who could help you. Maybe we could work together on something? I think you have real potential, and I would love to help you reach more people."

Jake's eyes widened with excitement. "You would really help me?"

Mimi nodded. "Of course. I think you've got something special, Jake. I'd love to help you take your designs to the next level. What do you say? You and me, teaming up for something big?"

He hesitated for just a moment, but then his smile grew. "I'd love that. I've always trusted your taste, Bella. Let's do it."

Mimi kept the smile on her face, but inside, she felt a wave of satisfaction. She had done it. She had made him her ally. The next steps would be easy. With Jake by her side, she could use his talent to create new jewelry lines that would elevate her status even more.

"Great," Mimi said, her voice smooth as velvet. "Let's set up a meeting to talk about the details. I think this could be the start of something amazing."

As Jake agreed and they exchanged contact information, Mimi felt a surge of power. She had the man right where she wanted him. And now, with her new posit

ion and alliances, there was no limit to what she could achieve.
