fighting the abyss

Sonic: Quite a good throne you made.*looks around*

Sonic said as he looks at the humanoid being with abyssal skin and three eyes sitting in a throne on the ledge of a valley with obsidian black rock.

???: So you came as i expected. Did your friends not try to stop you?

Sonic: They did and quite a lot actually.

Flashback-

Sonica: i ain't letting you leave even if means breaking my promise. *Pleads with Doll eyes as she clutches onto Sonic's feet* I won't let you throw yourself in a trap.

Tails°: we are saying this for your own good, don't jump into a lion's den Sonic.

Augus: Ye we are not letting our king die before he even sits on the throne.

The entire group of Sonica , tails° , augus , Merlina and Percieval!? Are grabbing onto Sonic's limbs while he brute forces his way out. They surrounded him and pinned him down when they heard that he was going to fight Arthur? In abyssal territory. He managed to shrug them off and escape.

Flashback ends-

Sonic: So shall we begin? *Pulls caliburn out* Um what do I call you?

Talos: Talos,*Stands up and clutches his sword* Talos the forgotten.

Sonic charges as Armor forms on his body. He aims for Talos's neck and swings but the strike stopped as Talos blocks, Talos's other arm expands and becomes a giant hammer and then proceeds to hit the ground as he misses Sonic. The mountain crumbles and begins breaking, a dark energy shoots out towards the sky and the sunny day becomes dark like night. As he falls down, images begin to show up in front of him. He activates Excalibur and the golden radiance expels the corrupting influence of the Abyss. He saw Talos merge with the darkness itself and become a living monstrosity.

Sonic: This some eldritch s**t.

Hundred of spikes follow him like heat seeking missiles, the entire mountain has become a part of Talos. He jumps,warps,parries while searching for a weakness, he found a small gap in it's defence and feinted rushing in. As soon as he got close, he switched his direction and saw as a mouth appears and chomps down at a place where the gap was.

Talos: Show it to me, what you people call the indomitable spirit.

Sonic gets trapped in a web of darkness that slowly begins shrinking, he cut through and managed to reach out of the valley after running on the walls and the path platforms.

Sonic: You look very ugly you know.

Talos: Between Power and appearance, power will be the most chosen one.

Talos looks like a giant three headed hydra but with no wings and tails but instead bipedal with rock armor. It gathers energy in it's mouths before firing them. Sonic twirls Excalibur before cutting through one of the attack with a cut and rushes towards Talos. The splited attack hits the other two orbs(basically pitch black tails beast bomb)

And results in a massive explosion that destroys quarter of the mountain.

Charging towards the head, Sonic infuses some of the light energy in the excalibur to it's edge making it seems like a overheated blade. He rips through the middle head and keeps going until coming out of the torso on the other side. A sizzling sound could be heard as the area cut turns into pure chaos energy and dispersed into the surroundings.

Talos: It seems size is no good.

The entire mountain begins converging towards Talos, forming something similar to a egg shell. Sonic runs using the paths and escapes the area, a giant black egg is now where the mountain was, it shakes and begins shrinking,again and again until it reaches size similar to Sonic, the shell cracks before enqulfing the entire area in a pulsing wave of corruptive energy.

Sonic gets repelled by the burst of energy and gets pushed along the ground, gathering rocks and mud near his feet.

Sonic: Quite a awesome entry if you ask me.

The wave slowly does down to reveal a humanoid figure with giant dark claws, two curved ram like horns, three eyes one on the forehead and wolf like teeth, it also has the abyssal skin but instead of normal black it is now pitch black as if staring into a endless space. Talos raised his arm and proudly taunted Sonic to come at him.

Sonic: you have become quite arrogant with this transformation it seems. *Clutches Excalibur* I will show you to never become cocky in front of me again.

Sonic blurs towards Talos like a madman, ready to strike. Both fighters wind up their attacks and clashed with eachother. The clash ends with Sonic being flown away. Talos just has a small cut in his stone like arm. The wound regenerated instantly.

Excalibur: He seems to have compressed the whole mountain to extremely high degree and mixed it with dark energy.

Argus: switch up Kiddo. Bring me out.

Sonic returns back Excalibur to the necklace and calls out argus, the golden armor turns black while green feathered ethereal wings sprouts on Sonic's back.

Sonic: This will be fun.

He again charges forward with momentum and slashes Talos who dodges to the side, the ground caves in under the monstrous weight of Talos's compressed body. The attacks clash again, argus cuts Through Talos like butter severing him but Talos just regenerates instantly.

Argus: Annoying. Cut him to bits.

Sonic compelled,he activates lightspeed and chopped Talos's body to dust,leaving behind the dark energy and the soul. In a last ditch effort Talos materialized his energy, compressed it and fired it in a beam of destruction.

Sonic tries to dodge but dark chains come out and binds his feet while the space gets sealed off. He quickly stops time and changes into Oberon, and braces for a impact.

The beam hits him straight on as time resumed, leaving behind a path of destruction. But he survived, he stands up and slowly walks towards the defeated Talos laying on the ground.

Sonic: I won. You don't seem so cocky about it now.

Talos: Show me the necklace.

Sonic shows him the necklace and witnessed as he formed in a orb of energy and got absorbed by the necklace.

???: *clapping* Bravo Bravo, quite a interesting fight you showed me.

Sonic: never seen such a guy like you who watches the show for free and enjoys... Infinite
