I didn't know what he was referring to, whether it was his earlier behavior, or the person he said I liked?
"Ha~ you're saying something, huh." Jasmine said while stepping on Robi's butt. Robi was kneeling in front of me.
Robi stood up, with Jasmine's foot still pressing down on him.
"Wuahh! You're a demon angel!" Robi shouted as he broke free from Jasmine's foot.
"That's what you deserve, you demon fallen angel!" Jasmine shouted, bringing her face close to Robi's, her right index finger pointed at Robi's chest.
Robi didn't back down and brought his face close to Jasmine's as well. Their foreheads touched, their eyes meeting with a spark.
While they were arguing, someone entered our room. It was a woman in her 50s, her hair slightly gray, her face wrinkled, and wearing glasses, which made her look stern. But don't judge a book by its cover.
"Guys... stop it for now, Ma'am Abangan is here." I said, separating the two.
"Hmm," they both grumbled as they moved away, their faces frowning. Jasmine crossed her arms, while Robi put his hands in his pockets.
As they separated, Ma'am Abangan spoke.
"Okay everyone, please go back to your seats." After Ma'am Abangan said that, our classmates who hadn't noticed her were shocked. They quickly returned to their tables.
"Gsyyskvrkdu," the sound of our classmates rushing back.
"In 10 seconds, if you're not back in your seats, you'll be punished." Ma'am Abangan said, as the students moved even faster.
Within 5 seconds, they were all back. Even Jasmine and Robi rushed to their tables. They knew how severe Ma'am Abangan's punishments were.
"Good, everyone." Ma'am Abangan said, as the students fell silent.
"Okay class, form groups of three." Ma'am Abangan said, pulling out her laptop from her bag. It was an Apple
MacBook, black and 15 inches.
As Ma'am Abangan said that, we formed a group of three: Robi, Jasmine, and me. Even though they always fought, they still preferred to be in a group together.
"Why do I have to be in a group with this fallen angel?" Jasmine said, facing Robi with crossed arms. I was behind her.
"Huh? Why, who said I wanted to be in a group with you. I'll only be in a group with the princess of light, not you." Robi said, putting his hand on Jasmine's shoulder and lifting her up. Jasmine didn't move, but she glared at Robi. After lifting her, he put Jasmine back where she was, and now he was in front of me. He also said, "Everyone, we need one more person. Who wants to be in a group with our school's top no. 1?"
I don't think so.
The students looked at our group, and Jasmine was angry at what Robi did.
She ran in front of me and blocked Robi's outstretched hand, showing that she didn't want him to get closer.
"Wait, who are you to decide who gets to be in a group with Baby Girl?" Jasmine said, frowning.
As they argued, a guy with red hair approached, a large earring in his ear, wearing a polo shirt but not buttoned, as if he was showing off his large physique. "And who are you two to decide who gets to be in a group with Shane?" he said, approaching, and he was truly big. Compared to Samuel, he was definitely 6'5.
We had to look up at him.
Jasmine, not liking the guy's attitude, spoke. "And who are you, you big oaf, to talk to us?" she said in a sarcastic tone, her eyes fixed on the guy in front of her.
"Wuahh, big oaf, huh. Really big oaf, especially if I shove this in you." The guy said, holding his belt.
"Yuck. You're too disgusting for a man, get lost, shu!" Jasmine said, turning her head, her eyes closed, her left eye raised, and waving her finger, signaling for the guy to leave.
When our classmates heard what Jasmine did, they were shocked, fear and worry on their faces. This guy was Robert, a bully and a member of a gang called the TM gang, which stands for 'THE MONSTER'. The police say that 98% of the members have spirits, so even the government can't deal with them.
Some of the students said, "Oh, will Jasmine be okay?" asked the short-haired girl with black hair.
Her friend also said, "Don't ask, you might get involved in the mess Jasmine got into."
Robert, who didn't pay much attention to Jasmine, now looked at me. He walked in front of me and pushed Jasmine aside. "Shane, why don't you be in a group with me?" he said, reaching out his hand to me. I could see the joy on his face.
I took his hand and said, "What if I don't want to?" Even though I knew Robert's background, I wasn't afraid of him.
When I said that, I squeezed Robert's hand really hard. Even with his size, it's still clear that I'm stronger than him. Not because I have talent, but because his body is fake, big but soft because he uses steroids.
"Uekk," Robert fell to his knees in pain from my squeeze.
I released his hand and said, "Try to disrespect my friend in front of me again, you won't like the outcome." I said with a scary smile.
The people around me were impressed by what I did, even the teacher in front of us was impressed. The reason why our teacher didn't stop us was because she was just a normal human. Even though we haven't opened our spirit worlds yet, we still possess the strength of someone who has already opened their spirit world.
We left Robert on the ground, kneeling, his face full of anger because he was embarrassed. I can tell he's thinking about killing the three of us. Well, if he does that, I'll wipe out the whole TM gang.
"You're so cool, baby girl. But you should have pulled his earring from his ear." she asked with a disappointed look on her face.
"Why would I pull his earring?" I asked her, smiling slightly.
She replied, "Nothing, I just get annoyed looking at it, it looks so stupid, he really is stupid." As Jasmine said that, Robert looked up while still kneeling, I could see the anger in his face towards Jasmine.
Seeing this, I tried to change the subject to stop Jasmine because it seemed like she was going too far. "Um, Jasmine, maybe we can talk about that later, look, Ma'am is opening her PowerPoint on the laptop." Ma'am opened her laptop and connected it to the projector above our blackboard.
When everyone saw this, they immediately sat up straight because they knew that one mistake could lead to a penalty from Ma'am.
"Okay everyone, I'll start now. The reason I put you in groups is because you'll be learning about the work of normal people. I know why you came to this school, it's to become heroes, right?" Ma'am asked. She's said this to us many times, but no one dared to complain, even Robert, a bully, didn't try to complain.
To Ma'am's question, everyone answered, "Yes, Ma'am!" With our answer, Ma'am continued to speak.
"But not everyone here has the chance to be a hero, so we'll be learning about multimedia presentations." When everyone heard this, they were like they lost their hearing.
'Huh? Multimedia presentation? What's the connection between that and what Ma'am said earlier?' I asked myself because what she said, "But not everyone here has the chance to be a hero," was so far from the topic of multimedia presentations. Sigh... I know everyone here doesn't know if Ma'am Abangan was joking or serious.
No one answered Ma'am Abangan, so she started teaching. She explained to us what to do in PowerPoint and what to do when it comes to multimedia presentations.
.....
4 hours later.
"Okay class, go have lunch." As Ma'am said that, she started to leave the room.
Jasmine, who was dizzy from Ma'am's explanation, leaned against my shoulder.
I looked behind me and saw Robi. I wondered why Robi didn't say anything when Robert approached us, maybe he was scared? Well, it's hard to judge. But Robi is the hardest to read. Sigh, good thing Jasmine is here.
Jasmine, leaning on my shoulder, asked, "Baby girl?" Jasmine asked me.
"Um?" I replied.
"Based on what Ma'am said, we need a laptop. Whose laptop will we use?" Jasmine said with a sad face.
"We have one at home, but I'm just borrowing it from my brother." I said, holding Jasmine's left hand.
"Really?" she said, suddenly becoming energetic. She looked behind her and turned to Robi, saying, "Robi! We don't have a problem with the laptop anymore!" Jasmine shouted in joy.
Jasmine and Robi, like Samuel and I, are orphans. But Jasmine lives in the church, while I don't know where Robi lives. Whenever I ask him, he doesn't want to tell me. If I ask Jasmine, she just ignores Robi's refusal to tell me, as if I'll find out from someone else anyway. So I don't ask Jasmine about it.
Robi answered, as usual, still frowning at Jasmine. "I heard, so you don't need to repeat it, demon angel."
"Huh?" When Jasmine heard that, she grabbed Robi's hair and slammed him to the floor.
"Bagg!"
When Robi fell, he immediately stood up and started arguing again.
'Sigh, they really suit each other.' I said while smiling at what they were doing.
While I was watching them, Samuel suddenly came to mind. 'Did Samuel come in?'
It's lunchtime, but I haven't seen him pass by this room. 'He's probably with his friends who can't do anything good except lead him to become a bad person.' I said to myself, with an angry face.
'I'll really tell Samuel off about this later when I go home. Hump!'
While I was thinking about Samuel, the two finished fighting, and it was clear who won, Jasmine.
"Good thing you finished quickly now HAHA" I said, laughing because they were both frowning, so cute!
"I just let myself lose because you looked like you were frowning earlier, princess of light." He said, looking at me.
'Frowning? Maybe he's referring to the time I was thinking about Samuel.' As I remembered Samuel, the memory of him kissing my forehead suddenly came to mind.
Thinking about that, my face flushed. 'Why is this feeling back? I thought it was gone?' With my flushed face, I covered my face. Jasmine, seeing this, strangled Robi.
"Robi! What are you doing to Shane? Huh?" Jasmine said in an angry tone, Robi's eyes were turning white from Jasmine's strangling. Even though he was struggling because of Jasmine's strangling, he still tried to speak to defend himself.
"I-I didn't do anything, I just saw her frowning earlier, maybe there's a reason!" In his struggle to speak, he still managed to finish what he wanted to say. I, seeing this, tried to get rid of this feeling.
"I-it's nothing, Jasmine, Robi has nothing to do with it!" When I said that, she immediately released Robi and hugged me.
"Sure, you said so" she said with a smiling face, looking at Robi. "But if you do anything to Shane, you'll die by my hands." She showed a serious face when she said that.
Robi smiled and said, "Really? You promise that, huh?" he asked Jasmine, happiness on his face.
"Yes, I promise, so if you do anything-" Jasmine was about to finish her sentence when Robi started talking.
"Yay! I won't die anymore!" Robi jumped for joy, as if his life was in Jasmine's hands.
