Burning the Bridge After Crossing? Seeking Death!

Under the watchful eyes of the old white cat and the old green-skinned man, Torudo summoned the dragon.

Before him, a massive green dragon, over a hundred meters long, emerged. The sheer size of the dragon made Torudo look tiny in comparison. But despite its imposing form, Torudo didn't sense any overwhelming power from it.

It felt completely at odds with the oppressive atmosphere surrounding it.

The awe he initially had upon seeing the dragon was quickly replaced by contempt.

The First Summoning of the Dragon

Renkai, now in his massive dragon form, greedily took in his surroundings. Finally, he was free from that suffocating, pitch-black void. No more endless darkness. No more nothingness.

He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with fresh air, an expression of pure enjoyment crossing his dragon face.

Adjusting to his dragon form felt strange, almost uncomfortable, but that didn't matter. His focus was already on the small figure standing beneath him.

The man was dressed in a pink martial arts robe with a large "Kill" symbol on the chest. A neatly braided ponytail, tied with a red bow, rested behind his head. Hands folded behind his back, he stared up at the dragon with an air of superiority.

That appearance was too recognizable.

Torudo.

So it was him who had summoned Renkai. This was how his journey in the Dragon Ball world would begin.

Renkai wasn't disappointed. Sure, he would have preferred someone like Zeno or Beerus to summon him, but this wasn't a bad start either.

Torudo may have been a villain, but he was still a formidable warrior in the early days of Dragon Ball. A true martial artist, trained in the deadly techniques of the Crane School.

A smirk formed on Renkai's massive dragon face.

"Say your wish. Quickly."

All he wanted was to fulfill the wish and be done with it. That dark void had been unbearable, and now that he was free, he had no intention of wasting time.

"Shenron, grant me and Crane Hermit eternal life!"

Torudo's voice was firm, filled with ambition.

Having lived for centuries as a hired assassin, he was convinced that his skills could still improve. But for that, he needed one thing—youth that would never fade.

His brother, Crane Hermit, was just as important. The bond between them was strong, and if Torudo was going to gain eternal life, it was only natural that his brother should share in the gift.

The Forbidden Wish – Immortality

Renkai's dragon eyes narrowed.

Immortality?

The dragons in the original Dragon Ball series had never granted that kind of wish before.

Sure, they could revive the dead. They could restore lost youth, as seen with King Piccolo. But full immortality? That had never been confirmed as possible, even by the powerful Namekian dragon, Porunga.

But Renkai wasn't bound by those same limitations.

Unlike the regular Shenron, he had no restrictions on what he could or couldn't grant.

Even though he didn't like Torudo—especially for his merciless killing of innocent people—he had no reason to deny the wish. A wish was a wish. And the [Dragon System] followed rules.

"That's easy."

Renkai raised his massive claw and snapped his fingers.

A surge of energy filled the air. In an instant, Torudo's body transformed. His old, battle-worn form was gone, replaced by the youthful body of an 18-year-old.

He had regained his prime.

Excitement flashed across Torudo's face.

At the same time, Renkai felt the rewards of the wish pouring into him.

Not only did he gain the ability to grant immortality, but he also absorbed everything from Torudo.

Torudo's martial arts, his skills, his experience, and his deadly techniques—all now belonged to Renkai.

"Ding! Acquired Dodonpa!"

"Ding! Acquired Pillar Flight Technique!"

"Ding! Acquired the power of immortality!"

The knowledge and abilities of the world's number one assassin had now become Renkai's own.

The Power of a True Martial Artist

Renkai could feel it.

The strength coursing through him was beyond anything he had ever imagined. This was what it meant to have power. To be something greater than an ordinary fighter.

In his past life, he would have been nothing more than a weakling by Frieza Force standards. But now? He had surpassed the limits of his former self.

Torudo's skills were his now.

And he was just getting started.

"Your wish has been granted. Goodbye."

Renkai was ready to leave. He had no more business here.

Betrayal – The Assassin's True Nature

"Wait, Shenron."

Torudo's voice stopped him. The smirk on his face had twisted into something more sinister.

Renkai didn't leave just yet. He turned his gaze toward the assassin, his dragon eyes filled with amusement.

"Shenron, you granted my wish. Now let me return the favor."

There was something clearly wrong about the way he said that. Anyone could tell his intentions weren't pure.

Renkai chuckled. "And how exactly do you plan to repay me?"

Torudo's smirk widened. "How about this? I'll kill someone for you. For free."

He had made up his mind. He was going to kill the dragon.

After centuries as a legendary assassin, Torudo had slain every kind of opponent. He had fought warriors, mercenaries, and even powerful martial artists.

But he had never killed a dragon before.

That was about to change.

"That's an interesting offer," Renkai said, pretending to consider it. "I'll let you know when I need someone taken care of."

Torudo's eyes narrowed. "No. You have to tell me now. If you don't… then I'll kill you!"

A glowing energy formed at his fingertips as he prepared to unleash Dodonpa.

Renkai sighed. "You really don't value your life, do you?"

The Consequences of Attacking the Dragon

The [Dragon System] wasn't just a wish-granting ability. It came with rules.

The moment anyone tried to attack him, they immediately lost everything. Their strength, their techniques, their experience—it all became Renkai's.

Even the most powerful beings in the universe weren't exempt. Not Zeno. Not the Grand Priest. No one.

This was why Renkai didn't even flinch as the Dodonpa blast came straight for him.

The beam struck his massive dragon body—and nothing happened.

The attack vanished into thin air, like a pebble thrown into the ocean.

Torudo's confident smirk disappeared.

He tried to fire another blast—only to realize he couldn't.

His power was gone.

His body instantly reverted back to its original, aged form. His mind, once filled with centuries of combat experience, had turned blank. He couldn't remember any of his techniques. Not the Dodonpa. Not the Pillar Flight. Nothing.

Even his immense fortune, the wealth he had accumulated over his years as an assassin, was now Renkai's.

The legendary assassin was now completely powerless.

And his life?

That now belonged to Renkai.
