"Brother, this is the relic left by my grandfather to me."
Little Goku bowed to the four-star Dragon Ball before turning to Renkai with a serious expression.
Renkai, out of respect for the dead, bowed to the Dragon Ball as well. Then, he looked at little Goku and said, "Goku, I see that you're good at martial arts. How about I, as your big brother, train you in your grandfather's place?"
"Really?! Okay!"
The moment little Goku heard those words, he jumped up in excitement. Ever since his grandfather passed away, he had been training on his own without any real direction. Having a teacher again was something he couldn't refuse.
The next few days, Renkai followed the Kame style training methods, helping little Goku build a strong foundation. After that, he planned to use Super Divine Water and potential unlocking to further enhance his growth. He had no intention of wasting little Goku's natural talent.
After the daily training, Renkai would use the excuse of sparring to give little Goku a thorough beating. With unlimited Senzu Beans in his possession, as long as he didn't kill little Goku on the spot, everything else was fair game.
Little Goku's martial arts talent was astonishing. Even Zamasu had once coveted the Saiyan race, and for good reason. After just a single demonstration, little Goku had already learned the Kamehameha.
As for the other techniques of the Kame style, Renkai was more than happy to teach them as long as Goku was capable of learning.
One afternoon, while little Goku was lifting a massive boulder, Renkai sat nearby, chewing gum and feeling bored. He casually took out the latest combat power detector, a more advanced model developed by Dr. Kikono of Frieza's Legion. This one had a limit of 200,000 combat power, ten times more than the older models.
"Didi!"
Renkai: Combat Power 44,000
Son Goku: Combat Power 25
Unknown: Combat Power 4
"Hmm? A power level of 4 approaching Baozi Mountain? Looks like Bulma is coming."
Renkai smirked, putting the combat power detector away.
"Goku, we have a guest coming. Follow me."
"Brother, I still want to keep training!"
"If you don't come, there won't be any big meal today."
"Wait for me, brother!"
Renkai chuckled. Saiyans were truly ruled by their stomachs. In the past few days, little Goku had been enjoying the most delicious meals in the world, meals Renkai had obtained simply by making wishes. There was no way the kid would refuse a feast.
Meanwhile, on the mountain road, a blue-haired girl was driving toward Baozi Mountain in a small car, her eyes glued to the Dragon Radar in her hand.
"This is great! I didn't expect there to be two Dragon Balls in this mountain!"
Bulma's eyes gleamed with excitement.
To fulfill her rather ridiculous wish of finding the perfect boyfriend, she had created the Dragon Radar and set off on a journey to collect all seven Dragon Balls.
She had already obtained two. A two-star Dragon Ball was sitting in her warehouse, collecting dust. A five-star Dragon Ball had been found in a valley.
Now, with two more Dragon Balls so close, she couldn't help but fantasize about her wish coming true.
Her imagination ran wild, a giddy smile spreading across her face—
"Bang!"
The sound of metal crumpling rang through the air.
Bulma had been so lost in thought that she failed to notice the man standing in the middle of the road. She had driven straight into him at high speed. Her car was now a smoking wreck.
Luckily, she was unharmed.
Renkai's mouth twitched. He had been standing there casually, yet Bulma had crashed into him at full speed without even slowing down.
Female drivers were truly dangerous.
Fortunately, it was him she hit. If it had been anyone else, they would've been sent flying.
Bulma, still dazed, looked at the wreckage of her car, then back at Renkai, who stood there completely unharmed.
Her face turned pale.
"A-a-are you a monster?!"
Renkai sighed and walked to the ruined car, pulling the panicked girl out of the wreckage.
"I can still scream, so it seems I'm fine," Bulma muttered to herself.
Then, her fear vanished in an instant.
She took a good look at Renkai—his black trench coat, his sharp features, his mature and steady demeanor—and her eyes sparkled.
"Hello, handsome! First time meeting you. I'm Bulma! Sixteen years old! My family is the richest in the world! What's your name?"
Renkai immediately took a step back.
"I'm Renkai. Nice to meet you, but please respect yourself, miss."
Bulma ignored his words completely. She was already daydreaming. This was the kind of guy she had been searching for!
Handsome. Mysterious. Strong.
A man who could make a girl feel safe just by standing next to her!
"Brother, is this the guest you mentioned?"
Before Bulma could pounce, little Goku finally caught up. He tilted his head and looked at Bulma curiously.
"She looks weird. She doesn't look like you, me, or Grandpa."
"That's because she's a woman," Renkai explained with a chuckle.
"Ohhh."
Little Goku still didn't quite get it, but he nodded anyway.
Bulma, on the other hand, gasped.
"A kid with a tail?!"
"Hello, Bulma! I'm Son Goku, my big brother's younger brother!"
Little Goku greeted her politely, just as his Grandpa Gohan had taught him.
Bulma's brain short-circuited.
"Y-you're Mr. Renkai's younger brother?"
"Yeah! But not that kind of younger brother!"
Renkai sighed. This girl misunderstood things way too easily.
Bulma quickly recovered and engaged in an enthusiastic conversation with little Goku. The two hit it off surprisingly well.
Renkai, watching the interaction, casually chewed his gum before cutting in.
"Bulma, what are you doing all the way out here? Baozi Mountain is in the middle of nowhere. Don't tell me you're here for a sightseeing trip."
Bulma pouted before flashing a bright smile.
"Brother Renkai, I actually came all the way from West City to find the legendary Dragon Balls. If I collect all seven, I can make a wish! But… now that I've met you, my wish has already come true."
Her tone turned sweet and playful.
"So, I don't need to collect Dragon Balls anymore! Instead, Brother Renkai, you and Goku should come home with me to West City!"
