"No, we can't give up collecting Dragon Balls."
Renkai shook his head firmly.
"Brother is right. There's no reason to stop halfway!"
Bulma thought for a moment, then took out a small, disk-shaped device from her pocket and handed it to Renkai like a treasured possession. "This is the Dragon Ball Radar I invented. It can detect the locations of Dragon Balls all over the world. With this, you can quickly collect all seven and summon the dragon!"
"It's enough to collect the Dragon Balls. There's no need to summon the dragon."
Renkai had no need for Earth's Shenron. He was simply enjoying himself while ensuring that no other Dragon Ball collector could interfere with his plans. If he took control of the seven Dragon Balls, then anyone wishing for something in the future would have to rely on him alone.
Jie Jie Jie!
Bulma blinked in confusion.
"Who collects Dragon Balls but doesn't summon the dragon?"
A second later, she realized something.
Brother Renkai was truly one of a kind!
Now that Bulma had brought two Dragon Balls, and with the ones belonging to little Goku's grandfather and Kame Sennin, Renkai already had four in his possession. He checked the radar and saw only two other Dragon Ball signals.
One was missing.
"This must be with Marshal Black," Renkai thought, his eyes narrowing. "He must have found a way to block the signal."
That meant Marshal Black wasn't entirely useless. Maybe he deserved a wish.
After discussing their next steps, the group boarded a luxury travel RV that Renkai had prepared and left Baozi Mountain, officially beginning their journey to collect the remaining Dragon Balls.
Although there were now three of them, Bulma was still the one driving.
Little Goku had never even seen a car before, and Renkai had no interest in doing things himself when someone else was available. Bulma had to work a little harder.
While they traveled, Renkai instructed Bulma to modify the combat power detector to increase its upper limit. With her level of genius, this was just a simple task.
A few days later, Bulma handed Renkai the upgraded detector, then immediately got to work on another project—designing a high-tech gravity training suit for little Goku.
Under Renkai's careful training, little Goku's combat strength was increasing much faster than in the original story.
Even Raditz, who barely trained, had a combat power of 1,500. Yet Goku, despite his hard battles, divine water training, and near-death experiences, only had around 500 when Raditz arrived on Earth? That was completely unreasonable.
Now, things were different.
While Bulma was busy cooking dinner in the RV, Renkai was once again putting little Goku through brutal training.
Wearing the gravity suit, little Goku continuously sparred against Renkai, stopping only to chomp down on a Senzu Bean before going at it again.
"Didi!"
Renkai: Combat Power 44,000, Transformed into Humanoid Dragon: Combat Power 440,000, 20x Kaio-ken: Combat Power 8.8 million
Son Goku: Combat Power 32
Bulma: Combat Power 4
Renkai admitted that after gaining Nailu's wish on Namek, he had become arrogant. For a brief moment, he actually thought he could take on Frieza.
But reality hit hard.
Even with 20x Kaio-ken, his power hadn't even broken 10 million yet!
He had gotten ahead of himself.
A combat power detector was absolutely necessary. Numbers didn't lie.
"Brother! Goku! The food is ready, come eat!"
Bulma's voice came from the RV, signaling the end of training for the day.
Little Goku cheered. After training, eating was his second-favorite thing in the world.
The moment Renkai entered the RV, he was greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of expertly cooked dishes. The scent alone was enough to put top-class chefs to shame.
Bulma had taken the saying "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" very seriously. However, as the eldest daughter of the richest family in the world, she had never needed to cook before.
Luckily, Renkai had made things easier for her.
One day, he had asked her what wish she wanted.
Bulma, being smart, had already figured out how Renkai's wishes worked. She didn't try anything sneaky and simply asked for top-tier cooking skills.
Renkai had no problem granting it.
If Bulma had only wished for cooking knowledge, he could have given it to her immediately. But skills? Skills were different.
It was the same as gaining Kaio-ken, Instant Transmission, or Energy Bombs.
Any skill obtained through a wish required a price.
If Bulma had wished for top-tier cooking skills directly, she would have lost one day of her lifespan and would never be able to be revived.
The cost wasn't as extreme as divine abilities like Ultra Instinct, but Renkai wasn't willing to let the woman he liked pay any price.
Instead, he simply copied the best cooking skills in the universe and gave them to her. No cost required.
Now, Bulma could cook as well as any top chef in the world.
The dinner was magnificent. Large portions, rich flavors, and the perfect amount of seasoning.
After all, she wasn't just cooking for Renkai.
She was also feeding little Goku, the bottomless pit.
Renkai ate with satisfaction, while Bulma smiled proudly at her success.
A few days later, the RV arrived at a small village. The atmosphere was tense. Something bad was clearly happening.
Before they even reached the village, they encountered a wandering turtle on the road—the very same one that Kame Sennin had lost.
Renkai casually picked it up and threw it back toward Kame Sennin's island.
"Brother! Look at the radar! There's a Dragon Ball in this village!"
Bulma looked at the radar excitedly, pointing out the location of the next Dragon Ball.
Renkai smirked.
"This must be the village where Oolong is causing trouble."
The shapeshifting pig who kidnapped young girls, only to realize he couldn't handle them—Renkai remembered the story well.
After confirming that the village elder was the holder of the six-star Dragon Ball, Renkai agreed to deal with Oolong.
Or rather, he sent little Goku to deal with him.
"There's a terrifying monster in the village?!" Little Goku's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I'll handle it!"
A few minutes later, little Goku returned—looking utterly disappointed.
Dragging a trembling pig by the collar, he stomped over to Renkai.
"Brother, this guy isn't a monster at all. The villagers lied! He's super weak!"
Little Goku threw Oolong to the ground.
Oolong lay there, shivering.
Renkai sighed. This pig was a complete joke. Not even worth the trouble.
"Don't worry, Goku," Renkai said with a grin. "There are plenty of strong opponents waiting for you in the future."
"Didi!"
Son Goku: Combat Power 40
Oolong: Combat Power 2
Oolong was a total weakling. His only skill, transformation, was a flawed version that only lasted five minutes.
Renkai took one look at the pig and lost all interest.
"Big brother always understands me!"
Little Goku beamed.
A true warrior longed for battle.
But being beaten senseless by a stronger opponent? That wasn't fun at all.
That's why, in Goku's eyes, no matter how strong Renkai was—he didn't count as a "real opponent."
