Chapter 7

I don't know if it was Aria's words that moved me.

Or if I really wanted to take a gamble.

Aria and I made up again.

Zoran approached me a week later.

We agreed to meet at a Starbucks downstairs.

He looked me up and down, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his eyes.

"Frost, I never thought I'd actually lose to you."

"Aria, she really fell for you this time."

Zoran shook his head and laughed coldly.

It was through his account that I learned the truth about what had happened before.

That rear-end collision accident wasn't an accident at all, but something Zoran had deliberately orchestrated.

He had purposely arranged to run into us in front of Aria and me.

He had even specifically transferred to Aria's company and "coincidentally" met her at the bar.

All of this was intentional on his part.

I asked him why.

Zoran chuckled, his laughter somewhat bewildering.

"It might sound a bit absurd."
