Chapter 22: The Beast Awakens

Elias stood at the gate, his body still pulsing with the lingering power of Kaelis, the Beastlord. The battle had pushed him to his limits, but the rewards were undeniable. His senses were sharper, his body stronger, and his instincts keener than ever before.

As he stepped out of the Trial and into the city once more, the weight of his new abilities settled upon him. He could feel the primal energy surging within, threatening to take over if he lost control. The Divine Mark of the Beastlord had permanently altered his body, granting him strength and endurance far beyond what he had before. But more than that, the Elemental Fury within him burned to be unleashed, and the Primal Roar clawed at his throat, wanting to be set free.

He clenched his fists, steadying himself. "I need to get used to this power before it consumes me."

As he made his way through the city, heads turned. The aura around him had changed-he was no longer just another adventurer. There was something wild in his eyes, something dangerous in his movements.

Then, a voice called out.

"Hey, Elias!"

He turned to see Althea, the same girl who had helped him when he first arrived. She stood with her arms crossed, her gaze sharp as she examined him.

"You look different," she said, stepping closer. "Stronger. More... feral."

Elias smirked. "I suppose fighting a god will do that to you."

Althea's expression shifted slightly, a mix of surprise and understanding. "So, you made it past the first layer. Not bad."

"Not bad?" Elias raised an eyebrow. "I just killed a god."

She chuckled. "A lesser god. Don't get too cocky."

Elias felt his pride flare, but he knew she wasn't wrong. Aros and Kaelis were powerful, but they weren't the strongest gods in the tower. There were still eight more layers to conquer.

"Come with me," Althea said, turning on her heel. "You need to understand what you've stepped into."

Elias hesitated for a moment but then followed her. He needed answers-and perhaps, someone to help him control the beast that now lurked within him.
