After a brief rest, Elias and Althea stepped forward, pushing deeper into the Labyrinth of Shadows. The oppressive darkness that had briefly retreated now thickened again, whispering voices and shifting shadows pressing in around them.
As they crossed the threshold to Floor 36, a familiar sound echoed in Elias' mind-

Elias frowned. "Great. More mind tricks."
Althea tightened her grip on her sword. "Stay sharp. The deeper we go, the worse it gets."
As they walked, the walls around them twisted and pulsed as if alive. Shadows bled into reality, forming distorted figures-twisted versions of people they once knew.
Elias narrowed his eyes as the illusion took shape before him. Standing in the center of the path was his mother. Her face was gentle, her eyes filled with sorrow.
"Elias..." she whispered, reaching out a hand. "You can still come back. You don't have to suffer."
For a second, something inside Elias wavered. His hands trembled.
Althea's voice snapped him back. "Don't listen to it! It's not real!"
Elias gritted his teeth, shaking off the illusion. His mother's face twisted into a monstrous grin, her voice warping into a distorted screech before the figure melted into the shadows.
Althea was fending off her own illusions, her movements sharp and precise as she cut through shadowy figures of her past.
Elias summoned Elemental Fury, channeling raw lightning into his hands. "Enough of this!" He slammed his fists into the ground, releasing a surge of light that dispelled the illusions instantly.

The moment they stepped onto Floor 37, a chilling howl echoed through the air.

[Beware: Predators lurk unseen.]
Elias and Althea tensed as dark figures with glowing red eyes slunk through the shadows, circling them like wolves stalking prey.
Althea whispered, "They're waiting for us to make a mistake."
Elias activated Beast Mastery, enhancing his reflexes. He could feel the creatures moving, their instincts primal and deadly.
"We make the first move."
Elias raised his hand, gathering lightning, and unleashed Divine Judgment. The blast of holy lightning tore through the darkness, illuminating the entire chamber.
The hounds screeched, their bodies sizzling as they were reduced to ash. But more emerged-twisting from the walls themselves.
Althea moved like a blur, her blade slashing through the creatures with deadly precision.
One of the hounds lunged at Elias, its fangs aiming for his throat-but he twisted, activating Primal Roar. The sheer force of his voice sent the beast flying, crashing into the wall with a sickening crunch.
The battle raged on, but Elias and Althea fought with relentless determination.

Breathing heavily, Elias exchanged a glance with Althea. "They're getting stronger."
She nodded. "And we're getting closer to the boss."
Without hesitation, they pressed forward.
