Chapter 63- The Warlord's Fortress (Floor 48, The Siege Within)

The fortress gates groaned open, revealing a dimly lit war chamber beyond. The air inside was thick with the scent of blood and steel, carrying the echoes of battles fought long before their arrival.

Elias stepped forward, his body still weak from the backlash of God Slayer. He could feel it-his strength and magic were drained, leaving his limbs heavy and his vision slightly blurred.

But his abilities remained.

The power he had absorbed from the gods and the Trial still flowed within him-it was just dormant, waiting to recover.

Behind him, Lyra and Althea followed cautiously, their eyes scanning the fortress interior.

"You really overdid it this time," Lyra muttered. She wasn't wrong-God Slayer had nearly emptied him.

Elias let out a breath. "I'll recover. Let's keep moving."

Althea frowned. "Are you sure? We don't know what's inside-"

A deep horn sounded through the chamber, shaking the very foundations of the fortress.

Elias gritted his teeth.

It had begun.

The War Council of the Warlord

As they stepped deeper into the fortress, the walls shifted, revealing a grand hall of war.

A massive round table stood at its center, surrounded by ethereal figures-ghostly commanders from past wars, their spectral forms flickering like dying flames. Each one had been a general of Solmara, their legacies burned into the very walls of the fortress.

At the head of the table, a tall figure in crimson battle armor loomed over them.

His voice was like rolling thunder-deep, commanding, filled with the presence of a war god's chosen champion.

"Challengers. You have slain General Korvax. But war does not end with a single victory. It is forged through endless battles."

[SYSTEM ALERT: THE WAR COUNCIL TRIAL HAS BEGUN.] [OBJECTIVE: DEFEAT THE SPECTRAL GENERALS TO PROVE YOUR WORTH.]

Elias tightened his grip on his sword, forcing himself to steady his breathing. His strength wasn't fully back yet.

But there was no time to wait.

The spectral generals drew their weapons, their ghostly eyes locked onto him.

Elias exhaled.

"Let's finish this."
