[Attention to old Readers. The previous 16 Chapters are still canon in the story. They will be rearranged to be put in the story later as flashback chapters. The pacing was a significant issue, along with Sudden POV changes. Those issues have been fixed with the new timeline in place.]

It just had to be my birthday of all days. My parents have gone off with Dean and Sam's father.
All I have around me to celebrate MY BIRTHDAY
is a little kid with light green puppy dog eyes and my first student.
Happy 16th birthday, and happy me, I guess.

"What in God's green earth is this fucking abomination". I looked around the room trying to find the mysterious voice as I suddenly felt something appear in my hand out of nowhere. I looked down to see a mysterious phone in my hand.
If the system is anything like I read before in those books, this is going to change my life forever. All these changes started to come out of the woodwork after I awakened three years on that day.
. . .
(San Francisco) 1990 January 1st
A new week, a new year. I can't believe yesterday I was talking on the phone with Ranma on Sunday, it was 1989, now on Monday it's 1990. In only a month and a half, I'll be 16 officially speaking.
Time truly passes by so fast, maybe I'm just growing old. Just three years ago on my 13th birthday I didn't know 1 percent of the things about the world that I do now. Even now with me being sixteen, after getting online telling people my age online either gets me called a kid or old depending on who I'm talking to.
Ranma now has his hints about what to do about his curse. Now all that's left is to show mom and dad all my findings I had written down with all the bookmarked hunter forums pages I found last night.
The yellow-eyed demon was last reported to be somewhere in Mississippi. The hunters who reported this didn't even know about the yellow-eyed demon's history, but said they saw a yellow-eyed demon in a recent case sometime last week.
The hunter's on the forum didn't discover this case just yet seemingly. Maybe I was the first one to make the connection between both cases. The tactics described sound often similar to all the previous cases I read about.
. . .
30 minutes later.
"As you both can see, from my findings and conclusions in my notebook, the yellow-eyed demon is very real. My intense research last night led me to say the case about these hunters last week in Mississippi was related to the yellow-eyed demon situation." Lucas said to both of his parents.
Both of His parent's mouths went wide in shock. The surprise on James's face was more evident than Emma who kept looking between Lucas's notebook that she grabbed with her magic hand, and the computer he was holding.
Neither of Lucas's parents expected any results for months to possibly years at the latest. Due to them being so ignorant of computers, websites, online things in general, they weren't able to comprehend how Lucas did this. When they went searching for information they went to libraries, be it mundane or secret ones. If it wasn't available there they talked to information brokers, other hunters, and generally other people till they found what they were looking for.
They knew how to build a computer via enchanting or reinforcing the materials with energies. Yet, all the computer parts were ordered and not built themselves. The code inside the computer was checked by magic code specialists they paid before. With them going through multiple specialists to see who left backdoors and who didn't. Most specialists were hired through recommendations from friends or other hunters they know.
This complex process of Emma watching them all work led to her learning how to spot these kinds of things herself. She learned how to spot weaknesses online, but never used the devices herself like James. They had to learn a little in the ways of online magical security to just protect their son.
The computer they built after the digital monster incident took three months of hard work. Later they refined it on their own by connecting the desktop computer to the spell foundation of the house. This way a digital entity had to be stronger than the entire house combined to break into their house via a computer if connected.
50% of hunters over 35 didn't use higher levels of technology due to demon involvement. It was up to 70% for people over 40, 90% for those 50 and above. Only those with powers might use them as they enchanted their devices personally.
"Lucas, your mother and I are impress--- shocked at the speed it took you. Can you show us how this machine works and give us a minute." James insisted with a calm tone.
. . .
20 minutes later. . .
"Honey I got this, our son already taught us all we need to know when looking at the pages on the hunter forums." I said.
"So are we calling John Winchester to tell him the good news? He's been a changed man ever since Mary was killed by the yellow-eyed bitch, Honey Bear."
"Honey, we have to tell him. Odds are we are going on a hunting trip together with that Bobby Singer guy. No matter how it ends that bastard is going down, I know John will make sure of it."
"What about our baby boy, are we going to leave him alone again, especially when this hunt might take weeks or longer. It's going to be his birthday in one month, James." Emma implied with a frown on her face.
"We have to or else John will remain a hollow shell of his former self if this continues! We need to nail that yellow-eyed slippery snake down once and for all." My face showed a calm expression, but I was boiling inside thinking of that monster who destroyed John's life in more ways than one after Mary was killed.
'That yellow-eyed monster probably experimented on John's son Sam, if the notes are anything to go by' I thought.
"What about Sam and Dean, Dean turns 11 this month and Sam is 6 1/2. We used to babysit them every so often back in the day. You know John, he'll probably make Dean watch Sam on his own for this entire hunt if we go." My wife said as we were talking.
"Just ask Lucas to watch the kids, Bobby is coming with us, and with the whole crew going out together we might as well leave them at our place. With all the defenses we created over the years, the children will be safe and sound. Our boy is almost 16, I think he's responsible enough with all his training to watch John's kids for us." I responded while trying to ease my wife's concerns.
"How will we get him to agree, I'm not too sure he'll be all that eager to babysit for us." My wife asked while she unconsciously puffed up her cheeks in worry as she kept thinking.
'My wife truly is the cutest woman in the world, no one can tell me otherwise.' I thought as I giggled a bit at my wife's actions, but kept on a serious face for our current situation.
"Simple, honey we will bribe him. We both know our son's love for knowledge can get pretty intense every so often, and that will likely be the key to making him accept the offer. Perhaps something involving technology, or information involving those damned subjects can be used." I responded to my wife's previous question with ease.
"I mean that could work, our baby boy has a huge obsession with knowledge and information in general if he can obtain it. Most of that information serves his second goal being power." Emma said as her expression grew a little deeper as she had seemed to be thinking a bit on what to do.
"Honey, do we contact an info broker, or do we just buy a book at any of the greed affiliated companies. What about Velma, she has some connections right?" I asked absentmindedly.
"James, we can't rely on them for this kind of thing, just like we can't ask my family for any help." My wife replied with a serious look on her face.
'Maybe she's too worried about all the attention her cousin Ben is getting with his hero work. I mean Her Grandpa & Grandma are pretty high up in our neck of the woods with all their...' I thought as I waited a few seconds for my wife to respond since it seemed she was struggling a bit to tell me why. But she was still struggling before I replied with my theory on why we can't.
"I get it now, the eyes of you know who must still be bothering you. Velma has Shaggy, Atsuko's situation is special, but they are safe for the most part." I replied to my wife almost immediately after her question was asked after only waiting a few seconds.
"James, this is very serious, we can't involve them for yellow eyes, or get any help for these kinds of things." Emma responded with a serious look.
"Well, I guess John just has to make do with us and Bobby." I responded with a sly smile as I looked at my wife still trying to act like she can take on the world all by herself.
'Honey you may call our son sweetie as his nickname, but you are my sweetie, honey and I'll never stop loving you till the day I die.' I thought as my sly smile grew just a little higher.
"I'll get my familiar to send John the update, he'll probably get the information in two to three days at max. Chances are knowing John he'll show up with the kids and Bobby by next week or sooner." Emma said as she got ready.
