Chapter 2: The Babysitter/Teacher

Two weeks later...

"Fine... I'll take care of the kids, Mom. Remember what you said about the books." I said as I was more or less forced to do so with the bribe they gave me.

"Son, your mother and I remember what we promised alright. Remember to keep yourself and the kids safe alright while we are gone." My Dad said as he held my Mom's hand.

"Lucas, make sure the kids follow what I left for them. Dean, remember to always protect your brother." John Winchester said aloud while looking at me first before looking at the slightly older kid to my right.

'Dean must be the older one to my right, and the younger one sleeping to my left must be Sam.' I thought before looking at my parents.

"Don't worry Dad, I'll protect Sammy with everything I have. Shoot first, ask questions later, right Dad??" Dean asked with a slightly nervous expression before he grew serious all of sudden when he said the shoot first questions later bit of his talk.

"You got it, remember to ask Lucas for help when you need it, he's already hunted monsters more terrifying than any of the things you've seen before dean." Mr. Winchester replied that his statement about hunting strong monsters was merely his perspective.

'How can I be strong, when that monster Shaggy killed all those years ago almost killed us all if not for him stepping up at the last minute.' I thought while my expression grew a little fearful thinking of that abomination that showed up near the end of my first ever hunting trip.

"Mom, how long will the kid be asleep for anyway?" I asked since the kid had been asleep the entire time I was there.

"Son, your mother's sleeping spell will wear off in an hour. Unlike Dean here Sam isn't ready to know about the other side yet. Remember to keep the mystical stuff to yourself and Dean while they stay here." My Dad replied as he pulled Mom close to him in a semi-hug with his free left hand ever since he stopped holding her hand.

"I got it, Mr. Winchester, can you teach me something in the future from your experiences?" I asked with a shining glow in my eyes at the thought of possibly getting to learn something interesting from his caliber.

"Ask your parents after we get back." Mr. Winchester said as he kept staring at Dean for a minute.

"Not the time Son, we'll have this conversation later. We need to hurry now." Dad said while starting up Mr. Winchester's car only for Mr. Winchester to put a hand on his shoulder and make him sit in the back.

"Kid, I'll teach ya some stuff, but remember to keep the kids safe." The Fat man who was balding said with a smile while his hat did little to nothing to hide that massive forehead of his.

'What was his name again, Bob something... Singer, yes that was his name.' I thought.

"Ok Mr. Singer, I'll see ya guys later." I replied politely as I waved them goodbye.

Lucas and the kids watched everyone go off into the distance. From Lucas's experience, it looked like they were heading to Sarah's shop. The first thing Lucas did was to take the kids inside before activating the house defense system.

"Dean, I'll carry Sam to the guest bedroom where you'll both be sleeping during this time. If you want any food just call my name and I'll make something for the both of you. I hope you two enjoy spaghetti, since that's what we'll be eating tonight." I said while carrying the kid easily.

"Ok miss, I'll do as you say for now, but be careful of Sammy here." A vein popped on my head before I remembered they were just kids.

'Lucas, you can't be doing this anymore man. Remember what you told Ranma about his curse. You need to accept your looks going forward. You will look like this for the rest of your life. Transformation magic and body manipulation spells don't work Lucas, remember man you already did your best to change. You just gotta accept the way you were born, and stand proud of it.' I thought while slightly sulking at my terrible luck.

"Call me whatever you feel like Dean, but remember I'm a guy and my name is Lucas!" I said with a stern voice, but my voice was still as angelic as ever even when sounding serious.

"Ok Lucas, remember to add extra meatballs to my plate later ok." The kid said with a sly smile.

"Don't worry, Dean, you can eat as much as you want, kid. It may not look like it, but our family is pretty well off. So eat as much as your heart desires." I said while my smile grew bigger the moment that said that kid smiled.

'I guess joy really is infectious when the right person does it.' I thought

Dean's eyes shined with joy as a little bit of drool fell from his lips.

'Fooooood.... food.... food, guess me and Sammy will be eating like kings while we stay here.' Dean thought while looking at the pretty lady with long brown hair that reached her back with brown eyes.

'She says she's a man, but she looks like an angel with her looks... I'm not here to judge, but if she says she's a man I'll say whatever she wants.' Dean thought.

. . .

"Sammy stop running around the house and behave like Dad expects us to. We can't be acting like this while we are here."

"Dean, spaghetti from a few days ago was so yummy, do you feel Luc Luc will make more later? The ham cheese

Sandwiches taste nice." The little boy said.

"Sammy, it's Lucas alright, the guy's name is Lucas not Luc Luc. Sammy, it was a grilled cheese ham sandwich, that was the kind of sandwich he made last night, not a regular sandwich." I said while looking at my little brother who was acting so childish at this place.

"Don't care, Luc Luc makes tasty food, all that good." The boy smiled while he grinned towards his older brother in glee.

"Sammy just wait in the room, me and Lucas need to do something in the backyard together, we'll be back in a few hours. Just play your game thing on that computer." I responded while asking my little brother to stay inside the bedroom during this time.

Sam went upstairs alone to the bedroom, while Dean went outside to meet Lucas sitting on a white lawn chair with a blue aura surrounding him. Dean couldn't see the aura before, but now he could after Lucas taught him a few things during his stay.

. . .

"Dean, remember what I taught you. If you want to protect your family you need power and enough knowledge to best utilize its abilities." My grumpy teacher said while trying to act like those elders I read in his book secretly.

"Yes Master Bell, I'll do my best to learn from you." I ask while slightly cringing at my master's constant nonsense.

"You already know how to weld a gun, but what about a melee weapon? My weapon of choice is Aurora Dawn, she's a beautiful axe that's been my partner in battle for ages now." My master said with a creepy smile whenever he talked about his axe.

"Do I choose a weapon from the weapon rack over there?" I asked politely.

'I wouldn't act like this normally, but my master would beat me every time I talked with any kind of rebellious tone in his eyes. He would then turn to yell at me while saying HOW DARE YOU TALK TO THIS ELDER LIKE THIS, I AM YOUR MASTER.' Dean's expression grew grim while a small tear left his right eye.

"Yes, my disciple, your master will correct any errors he sees and teach you my ways to power." My master looked down upon me as I took a slight step back wondering what he would do next.

. . .

"Do I have to say it, Lucas, this is pretty embarrassing for me." I kept cringing, but couldn't do anything to stop it if I wanted to learn from Master Lucas.

"You will call me master while I teach you here at my dojo. Yes, it's very important in my eyes for my student to say that entire speech."

'What dojo? We've only been outside in his backyard, what the hell is Master talking about.' I thought while looking around.

Dean kept groaning about it before he finally gave in to his deranged master.

"Master Bell is the strongest man alive, his genius outshines the stars in it.. its brilliance. Master Bell is the ideal of manliness, and peak human perfection incarnate. Master Bell -----" Dean was about to continue before being interrupted by Lucas.

"SAY IT LOUDER DISCIPLE YOUR MASTER IS HARD OF HEARING!!!" Lucas started screaming, but only Dean heard it with the barrier being active.

"MASTER BELL IS THE BEST TEACHER EVER, I AM THANKFUL TO BE HIS STUDENT" Dean screamed back, but fell to his knees afterward.

"Oh Dean, you didn't have to say that all for little old me. Kids can be so creative sometimes in the strangest of ways." he said while looking down at his still kneeling student.

"But master you're the one who to----" I tried to voice out a response, but I felt a sudden massive pressure being placed upon my body that stopped me from doing so.

Lucas looked at Dean with hardened eyes before Dean swallowed his words.

"Yes, I tried my best to please you, Master Bell. I hope you liked my spee... speech for you." I was crying, but my master ignored my tears as he kept going on.

"Good work Dean and keep swinging that weapon like I told you earlier." Master Bell said while training with his student.

. . .

The days kept passing by with Lucas's parents and the group they went with never coming home, he only got the occasional visit from the familiar his mother owned. The bird would drop off letters telling him how they were doing, every so often a letter would be for Dean from either Bobby or his father.

Soon enough weeks passed by with Dean smiling more often and Sam enjoying all the new things he saw around the house. Dean's master student relationship with Lucas was kinda strange at first, but Dean eventually grew to see Lucas as his real teacher. The training was intense, but Dean kept pulling through as he kept getting stronger.

Lucas was shocked at Dean's talent in martial arts since he surpassed Lucas's almost three years of hard work in three weeks. Ranma had always told Lucas his talent in martial arts was shit, but seeing Dean's insane talent opened up his eyes to the truth. Yet no matter how talented Dean was in that area his magical expertise was rather lacking.

Dean was still sparring with Lucas but he never really won against his master. Lucas was truly a sore loser who never let his student win when he was about to lose. He would always stop holding back or use a kind of trick to win the fight.

Sam's hobbies while staying there mostly included playing games, building Lego contraptions from Lucas's Lego box. Eating food that Lucas made or just watching cartoons on the TV in the living room.

All three grew closer and closer to each other as time passed with nothing major happening the entire time. Sam wanted to go outside with everyone sometimes, but Dean and Lucas played games with Sam as a distraction for fun. The plans always worked since Sam had always forgotten he wanted to leave the house after the attention he received from the two of them.
