At night

At night

(Rehan, exhausted after a full day of deliveries, finally returns to his room. He throws himself onto his bed and says,)

"Today, the boss made me do all the work in the store. At least I managed to deliver the other parcels on time. Thank goodness the rest of the customers opened their doors properly. If the other deliveries had gone like the one with that woman, I wouldn't have finished anything today. And even after delivering everything, the boss made me stand at the counter and stack more boxes. I got so caught up in work that I forgot to eat lunch. I'm starving now. Let's see what Grandpa has cooked."

(Rehan heads to the kitchen, curious about what Grandpa might have prepared. Upon arriving, he notices Grandpa is nowhere to be seen. On the table, he spots a small note. Picking it up, he reads:)

"Rehan, I had to step out for some work. I might be late coming home tonight. Please stay at home and don't go anywhere. If you're hungry, I've left some food for you in the fridge. Just heat it in the oven. I'll be back by morning."

Rehan says,"

Grandpa rarely ever goes out like this… Where could he have gone today? It feels a little unusual."

(Rehan heats up the food as instructed, eats quietly, and then heads back to his room. Lying down on the bed, he starts thinking about the woman he encountered earlier. As her image comes to mind, he can't help but blush.)

Rehan says to himself, "Why can't I stop thinking about her? Her face, her reactions… Why do they keep popping into my mind? No, no! I can't let my mind wander like this. I have to focus on my goals, work hard, and make something of myself first. If fate has something good in store for me, maybe someday I'll meet the right person. Until then, I need to stop thinking about things like this."

(Rehan takes a deep breath and turns on his side, trying to clear his thoughts. The day's exhaustion soon catches up with him, and he slowly drifts off to sleep, leaving behind his swirling thoughts and unanswered questions.)

(Rehan slapped himself lightly and said,)

"I need to come out of this imaginary life; otherwise, I won't achieve anything in the future. I should sleep quickly now; otherwise, I won't be able to wake up early in the morning, and boss will yell at me again. I have to go to the shop early tomorrow." (Rehan set the alarm on his phone and fell asleep.)
