Chapter 74: Elf Forest 2
Along the way, we encountered some elves, but instead of helping us, they ended up attacking us.

The man in front of me drew his sword and approached me.
"Wait a second, we're not adventurers..."
When I was about to speak, he closed the distance between us and lightly raised his blade. I had no choice but to grab the dagger at my waist.
At that moment, Pauline came running to me.
"No! Stop it!"
Pauline approaches, trying to grab the man's feet. However, when he looked at her sideways, his expression did not change at all, so he lightly swung his sword down with one hand, as if it were a task he had done thousands of times before.
If this continued, Pauline would literally be cut in half. I immediately ran and hugged her to protect her.
Despite this, would I really be able to keep up with the speed at which the sword was being swung? While I was thinking about this, a silver blade silently passed very close to my face, reflecting the sunlight.
The sword gently cut through the cape I was wearing and lodged in my shoulder. The feeling of the thin, cold blade cutting through the flesh, then sliding through the muscle fibers sends chills down my spine.
It was as if it were in slow motion and the feeling of being cut seemed like an eternity.
A few seconds later, when the blade slipped from my shoulder and I regained my senses, I realized that bright red blood was dripping from the wound, wetting my cape.
I quickly pressed the wound with my hand. At the same time, there is unbearable pain that assailed my senses.
Gradually, the sounds around me became clearer. It seems that after the attack against me, all the elves around attacked my companions at the same time.
The elven warriors are much stronger than any enemy we have faced so far. It seems they were well trained to fight. There was no wasted movement whatsoever, they were playing with Nina and moving even faster than Sharin. Filiana was forced to crouch and was being attacked unilaterally from a blind spot that is difficult to reach.
I spoke softly to Pauline in my arms.
"Let's get out of here quickly with Piyo, that's the only option now."
Except that Pauline remained motionless, trembling, refusing to move.
I looked around and found a Piyo hidden on top of a tree. But Piyo is trying to come towards us from that place.
"Piyo, don't come here! Run away with Pauline..."
When I was about to shout that to her, a long arrow pierced the wing of the Piyo that had jumped from the tree.
