Chapter 5

"Jaxon, you....."

Suddenly, her phone rang. Sakura immediately forgot about my strange behavior, her voice turning gentle.

"Okay, I'll be right back, big brother Zoran."

She left with her bodyguard.

And I sat dumbfounded in the midst of chaos all night long.

It was my fault.

From the moment Sakura said she had forgotten about me, I shouldn't have kept clinging to her.

It's all my fault.

Early on the fifth day.

I went to my mother's grave, begging for her forgiveness, then closed down my art studio and entrusted it to a realtor to sell.

At noon, I received a package sent by my brother.

After drinking that bottle of potion, I took a nap.

When I woke up, something had changed.

All that anger, sadness, and heartache seemed to have left me behind. Even when I thought of Sakura, I felt no emotional fluctuation.

I sold the house, bought a plane ticket, and flew directly to the city where my brother was.

Sakura, we'll never meet again.

Sakura, staying by Zoran's side, suddenly felt inexplicably uneasy.

Thinking of my desperate look yesterday, Sakura couldn't sit still anymore.

Just then, the doorbell rang outside. Sakura thought it was me coming to find her again. Her heart leaped with joy, but her face maintained a haughty expression.Until she opened the door and saw the delivery man outside, she felt a bit disappointed.

Opening the letter in the courier's hand, she snatched it and handed it to Zoran.

"Zoran, congratulations! The winners list for the last big competition is out. You can go to New York City to receive your award in three days."

"It's about time I regained my memory too."

Zoran concealed his jealousy and dissatisfaction.

"Ahem... But I still have a few wishes that haven't been fulfilled..."

Sakura had no patience to hear Zoran continue.

"Zoran, I've already sent someone to the hospital to wait in line for a heart donor for you. As we agreed before, I'll fulfill two of your wishes."

"I've already agreed to date you for two months, and now with this award, I can't keep Jaxon waiting any longer!"

With Zoran's face contorting, Sakura drove straight to my place.

"Jaxon! Honey! I've got my memory back!"

But after knocking dozens of times, no one opened the door.

That hint of panic appeared in her heart again.

"Jaxon! Are you there? Are you still mad at me? Yesterday, I hadn't regained my memory yet, remember? I forgot you were my boyfriend, but last night I accidentally hit my head and remembered everything!"I know what I did yesterday was a bit too much....."

Before Sakura could finish her sentence,

An old lady poked her head out from upstairs and shouted angrily, "Young lady, are you calling for ghosts in the middle of the night?"

"That young man downstairs moved out early this morning. He's handed the apartment over to a realtor to sell. There's no one in there now! Stop yelling!"

Sakura's palms began to sweat, her mind already in turmoil, panic taking over her thoughts.

Thinking about how I had looked like a walking corpse yesterday, she became frantic.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up as she thought of another place.

Sakura hurriedly drove to my art studio, only to find a sign saying "This shop has been sold" posted on it.

Her face turned pale, the panic in her heart amplified infinitely, her mouth constantly murmuring.

"How could this be... It's impossible. That studio meant so much to him. How could he sell it..."

Sakura ran frantically around the city, desperately searching for any trace of me.

But she looked everywhere and still couldn't find me.

Finally, she arrived at the hospital and found the doctor.
