Chapter 62 — If You Want Quick Results, You Need Drastic Measures
"Master, where are you taking Marnie?"
Following behind as Sun Wuming pulled Marnie out of the restaurant, Sonia couldn't help but ask curiously.
"Would you like to come and see?"
Sun Wuming glanced at the two girls behind him.
Sonia and Gloria were taken aback for a moment before nodding together.
After thinking for a moment, Sun Wuming carried Marnie on his back.
Then, with one arm on each side, like holding two Persian cats,
He scooped up Sonia and Gloria by their waists.
"Eek!?"
Feeling his firm muscles against their bodies, Sonia and Gloria couldn't help but shudder.
"M-Master, what are you...?"
Sonia asked, her tanned face turning bright red.
Gloria secretly poked Sun Wuming's bicep with her finger, thinking to herself: "So... so hard..."
"Hold on tight."
That was all Sun Wuming said in response.
The next second.
WHOOSH—BOOM!
A roaring sound like a jet engine taking off erupted.
The three girls on Sun Wuming's body felt fierce winds whipping against their faces, stinging their cheeks.
"Kyaa!"
Marnie on his back held tightly onto Sun Wuming's neck, hiding her face behind his head.
Sonia and Gloria buried their faces against Sun Wuming's chest to shield themselves from the hurricane-force winds.
Seeing this, Sun Wuming paused for a moment before reducing his flying speed.
Feeling the wind pressure noticeably decrease,
The three girls finally opened their eyes to look around.
They saw the vast expanse of Stow-on-Side rapidly receding below them.
"We're fl-flying again!?"
Although she had witnessed it two months ago, Marnie's amazement was no less than before.
Sonia and Gloria were just as stunned.
Though they had seen Sun Wuming's various amazing abilities many times before,
This was their first time seeing him fly.
Indeed, thinking back carefully,
Sun Wuming had only shown his flying technique once before, in front of Sonia.
And that time she had only seen it by chance.
"That's amazing! Master, can I learn this too?"
Sonia looked up excitedly and called out.
When she saw Sun Wuming's face so close to hers, she blushed and turned her gaze away.
"Wait until you've mastered Haki first."
Sun Wuming chuckled.
"It's so beautiful..."
Gloria gazed dreamily at the view of Stow-on-Side below.
Night had fallen, and the city's street lights twinkled like stars in the darkness.
The view from above was breathtaking.
Gloria couldn't help but look at Sun Wuming's face so close to hers.
She thought the atmosphere was truly romantic.
However, she noticed Sonia on the other side, and Marnie holding onto Sun Wuming's neck behind him.
Her expression darkened.
She wished these two third wheels weren't here.

"This should be far enough..."
After flying for several hours, Sun Wuming thought to himself before descending.
The moment they landed, Marnie, Sonia, and Gloria instinctively curled up, rubbing their arms with crossed hands.
Gloria, wearing a skirt and shorts, trembled uncontrollably.
So, so cold!
Sonia in her form-fitting sportswear was only slightly better off than the other two, but she still couldn't help rubbing her hands together and breathing on them.
Looking at the endless snow-covered mountains stretching as far as the eye could see, she pondered for a few seconds before asking:
"Master, is this Crown Tundra?"
The Crown Tundra, it was said that once upon a time, this was a lush and fertile land.
But now, it's the largest wild Pokémon habitat in the Galar region, surpassing even the Wild Area in size.
While the environment is treacherous, many wild Pokémon make their home here.
It's even said that Legendary Pokémon appear in this place.
"This is your first test - learn to survive."
Without answering Sonia's question, Sun Wuming spoke solemnly to Marnie.
Her face pale from the cold, Marnie gritted her teeth and stood straight as she replied:
"I-I'm ready."
"First, take off your jacket and backpack."
Sun Wuming said with half-lidded eyes.
Sonia stood silently to the side and whispered:
"It feels like Master becomes a completely different person during training."
Gloria nodded quietly.
Enduring the painful sting of the heavy snowfall on her skin,
Marnie removed her backpack and took off her punk-style black jacket.
Left wearing only a pink spaghetti strap dress, Marnie's jade-white shoulders were exposed as she shivered in the blizzard.
"Wh-what do I, do n-next?"
Marnie asked, her teeth chattering.
"Nothing,"
Sun Wuming took Marnie's jacket and backpack, pulling out several Poké Balls and tossing them to her.
After Marnie caught them, Sun Wuming continued:
"Just stay alive."
As Marnie looked on in shock, Sun Wuming held up three fingers.
"Three months. After you survive here alone for three months without incident, I'll teach you battle techniques."
Sun Wuming said with a slight smirk.
"Three months!?"
Hearing this, even the somewhat accomplished Sonia and Gloria were startled.
Looking around at this endless white world,
Once the three of them left, there wouldn't be another human being for hundreds of miles besides Marnie.
The environment here was far more dangerous than the Wild Area.
Moreover, Marnie only had Morpeko and Morgrem, two weak rookie Pokémon.
"You've just left home to travel, and then followed me, so you haven't experienced what true 'adversity' means."
Sun Wuming continued:
"First, you must learn to be strong both physically and mentally. If you want to achieve rapid growth in a short time, you must pay the price in extreme adversity."
"I'll ask one last time, are you sure you want to do this?"
Sun Wuming called out coldly.
"Marnie, please reconsider. Staying alone in a place like this is really too dangerous."
Sonia said worriedly.
However, Marnie, her face white from the cold, hesitated for only a second before nodding firmly.
