Chaos was not having a good day. First, he had been imprisoned in some kids head, and now he was fighting for his life in the domain he lost! How was this fair?
Chaos knew exactly which Wild monster was coming to attack them. It was a large beast, The Battle Wolf of the Forest. It was a pet Chaos had kept during his time in his domain. It's main purpose was to keep people out and away from him, however it could also be used to very effectively keep things inside.
Unfortunately, that's what was happening to Chaos.
Chaos thought about trying to control it, but if his theory about this place was correct, it would only try to kill him more. So he had to rely on Sic to fight the wolf for him.
Even though at this point, Chaos wanted to simply give up and die. There was no way this kid was going to be able to kill a monster that even his brethren feared.
He was doomed.
Unless the kids abilities were extraordinary, that is. Chaos wasn't someone to throw his life away because things seemed grim. After all, the most surprising things can happen in the chaos of a battle, and that's what Chaos himself was the best at causing.
Unfortunately, he was running out of time. The Wolf was going to be here any second, and explaining conscious bond to Sic in time would've been impossible.
So, he decided to simply force it.
Either he would be lucky, and it would work so that they actually stood a chance
Or it would fail, destroying both of their consciouses
It's not like he had any other choices.
As he forced himself into Sic's conscious, he felt something... off.
Something was pulling him away
'those damn chains'
It was without doubt her chains doing this. Chaos still didn't know how or why Sic had the protection of a god on him, but it was going to make this a lot harder than it needed to be. He struggled to push through Sic's consciousness, as the chains pulled him back.
'What the hell?!'
As he had that thought, however, he noticed that the tension had disappeared. He was now smoothly gliding through Sic's conscious. After he arrived at Sic's conscious, he waited for a bit.
He was worried about those chains. What were they trying to do? They had let him in, but not without some resistance.
'Some defenses, huh?'
It was time for him to continue with the second part.
This part was the easiest, yet most dangerous part. Chaos simply had to release some of his own conscious into Sic's and infected him with the corruption of chaos.
From there, his brain and body would be compatible with the Corrupted Blessing, and he would be able to use it no problem.
At least, that was the plan. As Chaos was slowly releasing his conscious, chains appeared and restricted him.
"Wha-!"
More chains wrapped around Chaos and his conscious. As it did, it was increasing the amount of his conscious that was being directed into Sic.
'this much is going to kill me! And him!'
He tried to resist, but the chains wouldn't budge. He was going to die here, inside this damn human! He continued to angrily struggle against the chains, but it was no use. Chaos felt powerless against the will of a god.
Until the chains released him.
Chaos was confused, considering he thought for sure she had set this up to kill him, even if it resulted killing an innocent kid. But it left him alive.
Now he was really suspicious. He started to develop an idea that made sense.
Unfortunately, he didn't have time to celebrate this victory. It was time for the final part of conscious bond. He had to combine completely with Sic. This part wasnt normally very hard, especially because for one to get to this point, they had to have survived having corruption spread within them.
However, with the presence of the chains, Chaos had a feeling it wasn't going to go smoothly. He also had a hunch about what the true goals of the chains were.
Why would the chains simply not kill him? The answer was simple. Chaos was more valuable alive. Being conscious bonded made Chaos weaker, but it made Sic significantly stronger than he had any right to be. It seems she would rather have him trapped inside someone she can use.
This infuriated Chaos. He didn't want to admit that he had completely fallen for her trap so easily. The thought of escape has weighed him down over the millennia.
How did she even know this specific kid would encounter Chaos? How did she correctly guess he would try to conscious bond with him? This was the most worrying part of all this.
This wouldn't be his loss, however. He would have a vessel to slowly pour his conscious into. A smile slowly made it's way onto his face.
'Yes, you might have won this fight Vessa, but I will win this war!'
With that, Chaos started the final part of the conscious bond. He focused towards the center of Sic's conscious.
As he felt himself materialize inside Sic's conscious, he opened his eyes and looked around. His conscious was about as clean as Chaos had assumed. The place itself wasn't all that bad. It seemed like a simple cottage, complete with a fireplace, and some furniture to make it feel like home.
Everyone's conscious has a different shape too it. Some people have places like Sic's cottage. Other people have less material shapes, such as Chaos' darkness.
Chaos made his way towards the fire place and sat down in front of it. He closed his eyes and started meditating, trying to combine his conscious with Sic's. As he expected, the chains quickly held him down and forcefully combined him and Sic's conscious.
'i wish this didn't hurt so much'
It was not very fun being held down by her chains. It was horribly painful, too.
'I will remember this when I destroy you, just you wait!'
As angry as Chaos was, he couldn't help but smile. Everything that had gone wrong since his prime had been because of her, and he was finally going to get his revenge.
As the chains continued to combine Chaos and Sic, Chaos vision started going blurry. It seemed like the final step was almost done.
Soon, he would be seeing through Sic's eyes.
'Hopefully his ability will be strong enough to kill that damn wolf!'
As Chaos slowly faded into the darkness, he readied himself for the fight that was to come.
