Chapter 72: Let the Bullets Fly for a While
In the Warehouse
Li Yi gathered Wei Sanpao, Dachu, Weizi, Dalong, Xiaowu, and the others. With the clothing store about to open, there were important matters to discuss.
Once everyone arrived, Li Yi placed a document on the table—the business license he had obtained the day before.
"Brothers, this is the business license for our clothing store. Our business entity is officially registered as Jiangnan Liren Clothing Co., Ltd. We are operating under a shareholding system. Based on the investment ratio, your sister-in-law holds 94.5% of the shares, the third brother holds 5.5%, and I personally do not hold any shares."
Li Yi paused before continuing, "I'm telling you this because we're no longer just a group of friends doing business informally. We are now a proper company. I've also thought about your roles in the company."
"Third brother, you will be the deputy general manager and will be responsible for managing our supply channels. You'll also assist your sister-in-law and me in overseeing the company's operations."
"Got it!" Wei Sanpao nodded.
"As for the rest of you—Dachu, Weizi, Dalong, Xiaowu—you will be our first batch of employees. Right now, since we're just starting, I won't assign specific roles to you. But as the company grows, I will define your positions accordingly."
"Understood!" they responded in unison.
"Now, let's talk about salaries. As the deputy general manager, Third Brother's monthly salary will be 300 yuan. For the rest of you, your monthly salary will be 200 yuan. Do you have any objections?"
The room fell silent as everyone looked at Li Yi in astonishment.
200 yuan a month?
That was far beyond their expectations. Their parents, who worked in factories, barely earned 100 to 150 yuan a month. Yet, here Li Yi was, offering them double that amount right from the start.
"Brother Yi, isn't this too much?"
"Yeah, Brother Yi, 100 yuan is already more than enough for us!"
"That's right! Factory workers don't even make this much!"
Li Yi raised his hand, signaling them to stop. "The salaries are final. Payment will be made on the 15th of each month, following this standard."
Seeing that the others still wanted to object, Wei Sanpao immediately spoke up, "Alright, just trust Brother Yi on this!"
With that, no one protested further.
Assigning Tasks
Li Yi then turned to Xiaowu. "I have a task for you."
"What is it?"
"I need 100,000 flyers printed. Find a place this afternoon to get them done. If you bargain well, you should be able to get them printed for one cent per copy."
"Understood!" Xiaowu nodded.
Li Yi then turned to Wei Sanpao. "Third brother, I have another task for you."
"Tell me, Brother Yi. I'm ready."
"You need to recruit people."
"What kind of people?"
"Two types. First, we need temporary workers to distribute the flyers. We'll pay them 3 yuan per day, and they'll be hired only for a few days."
"How many do we need?"
"Around 100 people—or more, if necessary. All 100,000 flyers must be distributed within three days. I want the majority of Jiangcheng to know about Jiangnan Liren Clothing Store!"
"No problem!"
"The second type of recruits should be saleswomen and in-store models. They need to be young, attractive, and under 30 years old. We'll pay them 180 yuan per month, which is a good salary."
"180 yuan? That's pretty high!"
"Yes, but can you manage it?"
"How many do we need?"
"Start with 20. If that's not enough, we'll hire more later."
"Our factory recently laid off a group of female workers, but I'm not sure how many fit your criteria, Brother Yi."
"Do your best!"
"Got it!"
"Everyone else, focus on sorting out the inventory. Our store will be fully decorated in two days, and we will officially open on the 25th!"
"Understood!"

Evening Report
That evening, Xiaowu returned with good news. He had found a printing shop and had already placed the order.
He handed Li Yi a sample flyer. The print quality was good.
"How much did you pay?" Li Yi asked.
"I managed to get it for 800 yuan total," Xiaowu replied. "I had my mother take me to her old business partner, and they agreed to print all 100,000 flyers at that price. They also promised to deliver everything by 6 PM tomorrow."
Li Yi did the math. As long as the recruits were in place, the marketing campaign would be ready to launch.
Meanwhile, Wei Sanpao reported that they had successfully hired 120 people for flyer distribution. However, there was a problem with recruiting saleswomen—only four had applied so far.
"Why so few?" Li Yi frowned.
"The main issue is your reputation, Brother Yi," Wei Sanpao said awkwardly. "Most girls' families don't approve of them working for you."
Li Yi sighed. His past reputation was working against him.
Moreover, since he was specifically looking for young and attractive saleswomen, people couldn't help but overthink the job requirements.
Still, he wasn't worried. Once the store became successful, those who had hesitated would regret it.
When the college entrance exams ended, there would be plenty of young people looking for summer jobs. Some students who failed to get into university would also start looking for work.
These candidates would perfectly fit the job requirements.
For now, there was no rush.
"Let the bullets fly for a while."

The Next Morning
Li Yi woke up late—8:30 AM, the latest he had slept since his rebirth.
Before, he always woke up at 6 AM sharp and exercised for an hour.
Stretching lazily, he yawned. Sleeping in once in a while wasn't so bad.
The reason he had trouble sleeping was because of the warehouse conditions.
He had chosen to sleep in the warehouse last night because there were millions of yuan worth of clothes inside. If someone stole them, the loss would be disastrous.
The hard bed, thin blanket, and absence of Xu Qingnan made it impossible for him to sleep comfortably.
After completing 50 push-ups and 80 sit-ups, Li Yi stepped outside, intending to buy breakfast from a small shop across the street.
However, the moment he opened the door, he saw Wei Sanpao and a large group of workers bustling around in the yard.
On a small round table near the entrance, several plastic bags filled with food were neatly arranged.
