Jade tried to stand up and confront me again, but was held back by security guards.
"Let go of me," she struggled against their grip, but the guards didn't heed her words.
"You think you have any right to talk about love?"
"A woman like you doesn't deserve love," I sneered in retaliation.
Jade attempted to say more, but the security guards lifted her and Jaxon up, escorting them out together.
From outside came Jade's furious roars, all manner of curses directed at me.
I remained seated quietly, tuning out the commotion beyond the window.
I'd like to see if Jade, without her financial resources, would still be as high and mighty as before. Would Jaxon still cherish her to the bone?
She thought Jaxon truly loved her, but she couldn't be more wrong.
The only reason he had an affair with her was because of her money.
