Alvin was just another waiter, trying to make a living in another country where living was a battlefield.

But all of a sudden his life took an unexpected turn when their restaurant had a not usual guest. 

One night, all it took was one night to turn his life upside down. 

Alvin became something he thought was only possible in myths or movies. His life meant a lot, and not just to himself.

Now he must learn to steel himself to prepare for what's to come, to shed his fear of death, and to move on from the loss of his loved ones. 

To live like a VAMPIRE.

...and to feed like one. 

The only relief he had after discarding his identity as a human was that he could still eat his favorite stuffed garlic bread.

As he moved on with his life, day by day, facing challenges upon challenges, Alvin started sensing something amiss about himself, about his life.

Why did it suddenly start to feel like something was watching his every move from the shadow? Why did every action seem to be pushed by someone lurking behind the scenes?

The Eternal Gambit

Serena barely had time to react before the mist was pushed away by an invisible force from all around Elara. Alvin and Vanessa were paying attention to the fight and saw a shadow-like figure being thrown into the alleyway.

They immediately chased after the figure on the road while Elara rushed towards it, jumping from roof to roof. Her figure appeared illusionary, almost like a mist.

"Where is she?" As Vanessa stepped into the dark alleyway, she saw no one, did not react immediately, and instead turned her gaze towards Alvin. Taking a deep breath, Alvin focused on all of his senses; his eyes glowed with a faint red hue, allowing him to see every minute detail in the dark.

His ears picked up a faint rustling of clothes; raising his head, he saw Elara jumping into an already broken window of the two-story building.
