Chapter 6: The Hidden Power

Jin Xian's arms trembled as he held back the masked warrior's powerful strike. The force behind the attack was monstrous—far beyond any opponent he had faced before.

He pushed back, flipping away to create distance. The masked warrior stood still, his black steel sword glowing faintly in the moonlight.

"You're strong," Jin Xian admitted, breathing heavily. "But I'm not done yet."

The warrior chuckled. "Good. Show me your true power."

Jin Xian's eyes narrowed. True power? What did he mean?

Before he could think further, the masked warrior attacked again—his speed even greater than before.

Jin Xian barely dodged, feeling the blade slice through the air inches from his neck. He countered with a precise dagger strike, but the warrior blocked it effortlessly.

CLANG! Sparks flew as their weapons clashed again and again.

Jin Xian's instincts screamed at him—he couldn't win with pure skill alone.

Something inside him stirred. A familiar, yet terrifying energy.

For years, he had suppressed it—the strange power hidden deep within his blood.

But now, he had no choice.

As the warrior swung his sword again, Jin Xian's body moved on its own. His vision sharpened, his senses heightened. A dark aura began to swirl around him.

WHOOSH!

He sidestepped at an unnatural speed, avoiding the attack with ease. His movements felt… different. Faster. Stronger.

The masked warrior stopped and tilted his head. "So, you're finally awakening."

Jin Xian's breath hitched. "What… did you say?"

The warrior smiled beneath his mask. "The blood that flows in you is special. And now, it's waking up."

Jin Xian's heart pounded. The power within him wasn't normal. It was something else—something forbidden.

Before he could ask more, the masked warrior suddenly vanished into the night.

His voice echoed through the forest.

"We will meet again, Crimson Specter. When you're ready for the truth."

Jin Xian stood frozen, his hands clenched into fists.

He had many questions—but one thing was clear.

To be continued…
