After breaking off his relationship with the Silver Moon Pack, Hakan was given a car to go to his destination. The car he drove stopped in front of a hotel's main entrance.
The colorful lights decorating the famous hotel were enough to paint the night. Hakan went to one of the famous hotels in their city. The place was supposed to be accessible only to selected people. However, when the guard at the front saw Hakan's arrival, he immediately let him in without saying much.
Hakan rose and stepped out of the car door opened by the hotel servant. Passing by the servant who bowed respectfully, he approached the main entrance. His steps forward were bold and unhindered.
Passing through the hotel entrance into the lobby, a strong scent of pheromone hit him. Hakan knew 'they' must have noticed his arrival. They deliberately spread their pheromones to let Hakan know that they would see him soon.
"Young Master, it's good to see you back."
Hakan didn't change his expression when a man who looked to be in his forties greeted him with a polite smile. It had been decades since Hakan last saw him. Even so, the man looked the same as the last time he saw him.
Several men followed in line behind that man as he greeted Hakan in the lobby. Their arrival attracted the attention of the guests who were milling around the lobby. Hakan secretly sneered. Showing off their power was an old way for his family to show that they were different from others.
"Just show me where to go."
"Of course."
The man bowed respectfully, then directed Hakan to take a special elevator. They went up to the top floor. As soon as he got out, Hakan could see that everyone on that floor was a werewolf.
The place was even more luxurious than the hotel lobby. Everyone stopped what they were doing when they saw Hakan. They bowed their heads with a resounding greeting.
"Young Master, it's good to see you back."
Hakan turned his head, ignoring their greetings. Those werewolf only respected him because he was the strongest. The moment Hakan showed the slightest weakness, they would eat him up without a trace.
That was the way of life for the men in his pack. Their way of life defies the will of the moon goddess.
After crossing the people who bowed to him, the entrance to a more elegant and sophisticated area came into view. That place was where they were waiting, Hakan knew that.
"We can only escort you here. Young Master, I wish you the best."
Hakan stepped inside, exhaling strong cigar smoke. In that room, a man sat while smoking a cigar in his hand. Next to him sat a beautiful woman. Unfortunately, on that beautiful face, there was no expression whatsoever as she played with her cell phone with a bored expression.
They sat and were busy with their own affairs. Only when Hakan came did the man turn to look at Hakan.
"Who is this? If it isn't someone who called us... monsters?"
Hakan clenched his fists.
"It's been a while, Father."
"Yes, yes. It's been a while indeed."
The elderly man seated at the table, the Alpha of his pack, put out the cigar in his hand.
"So, what do you want that you come back to this monster-filled place?"
The man spoke to Hakan straight to the point. Hakan also did not want to beat around the bush. Without touching the drink that someone brought, Hakan immediately stated his problem.
"I need the power of this pack to find my mate."
"Mate, you say?"
The man's gaze changed while his wife, who was originally busy with her cell phone, finally lowered her cell phone. The atmosphere around them changed instantly. Hakan knew that in his original pack, the existence of a mate was considered an obstacle for them to continue their pure bloodline.
"And why should I help you find that... impure blood?"
Hakan had guessed his father's answer. He had prepared. Therefore, he did not immediately get emotional when he heard his father call Eir an impure bloodline.
On the contrary, Hakan looked so calm that he looked scary. His blue eyes stared coldly at his father. Hakan was sure that with his current strength, he could kill his parents if he wanted to.
"Because if you don't, I will kill you and take over this pack by force. I will kill anyone who refuses to obey me. This pack doesn't need fools who don't know who their opponents are."
After that, Hakan got attention not only from his father but also from his mother. The two ancient werewolves stared at him for a long time. They seemed to be measuring whether what Hakan said was true or just a bluff.
After some time passed, his father finally got up to approach Hakan. The man held out his hand, and it was a sign that they were still listening to his request. Hakan gave him one of his hands. His brow furrowed slightly as his father gave him the pack mark on it.
"This pack only listens to the strongest. But you, the strongest among them, chose to have a relationship with impure blood. When the time comes, I wonder what you will do when you realize that impures are nothing but a burden to us werewolf race."
"I will protect her," Hakan replied confidently.
The man smiled mockingly, as he heard Hakan's confident answer. "We'll see. It will be good entertainment," he replied challengingly. He sat back down after that. Hakan felt like everything was over. But as he was about to leave, his father called out for him one more time.
"Hakan."
Hakan turned around. He said nothing and waited for his father to say what he wanted to say.
"Although I may be inferior to you now, I swear I will make sure you die if you ever try to leave this pack again."
Hakan knew that too. Therefore, he was ready to be tied to his old pack since he came to the place.
"I know."
Hakan answered shortly, then left without exchanging a single word with his mother, who remained silent without greeting him even once.
