Life Gives Villain Script.(2/2)

"What do you mean?" Isabella asked with a hint of horror.

"Well, the rice paddies are..."

*Boom*

Before Lexus could finish his sentence, the door of the courtyard abruptly opened, and a panting village chief and his brother entered.

"Haah....hah....t...the rice paddies are destroyed, the fields have turned contaminated with dragon blood, and can never be fertile again," the village chief said, then looked at Lexus.

"I...I didn't know such a thing would happen; the dragon was too powerful," Lexus said, as he truly didn't know about rice fields being there, and he would accidentally destroy them in the process.

"I...I know, I know how powerful the dragon was, but villagers didn't know. The mountain dragon was in, is now blasted open; you can't go there either," the village chief said, then he sat down while grabbing his head.

The situation was too fucked; his position as a village chief might not help because the shaman was actually creating drama to remove him from this position.

"Alright, how old are you?" The village chief asked while looking at Lexus, who was actually annoyed by the whole thing.

"Seventeen," Lexus replied; in this world, he was for seventeen years.

"Alright, you're old enough. Take Isabella and go to Central Region. Take his carriage," the village chief said and pointed at his brother.

"Why my carriage?" Insitia immediately became unhappy.

"I'll compensate you. My carriage is in the Theodore Duchy; the situation is unfavorable. Try to understand." The village chief tried to calm the situation.

"I know; I was just too attached to that horse in that carriage," Insitia said while he looked a little sad.

"Okay, everything here has gone to shit. Lexus, leave with Isabella. Don't let anyone stop you on the way; kill one or two if needed. They'll be here soon, and you'll have to mass murder them then. Go now." Village Cheif said with frustration.

"B...but, father…" Isabella looked heartbroken.

"It's best this way. You had to leave after some time anyway to participate in the assessment; leave a little early," the village chief said. He wanted to protect Isabella at all costs.

"Alright, I won't become a crybaby and waste time here." Isabella, although reluctant, agreed almost immediately.

Lexus was actually dumbfounded with the things that are happening right now; he was very confused as well because he wanted to become a hero, but life gave him a villain script.

Lexus was actually in a stupor because of what happened; he wanted to do some good deeds once again, like on Earth, but he killed a bunch of people in the process and even killed the original village hero.

"Sigh! I guess I am not meant to be a hero after all," Lexus said. His hand was actually held by Isabella, and both of them were running in a jungle.

As Lexus was in a stupor, the fanatic villagers were already on their doorsteps, so Isabella, holding Jack's hand, just ran from the back door.

They didn't even have time to take the carriage and were leaving the village without any provisions.

"So, where are we going?" Lexus asked as Isabella was leading and running in the jungle.

"Oh! You alive? " Isabella asked with a mocking tone; she was a little angry at Lexus for zoning out at an important time.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I thought I was a hero, but I've caused a disaster," Lexus said. His tone was sad and pitiful; he didn't mind Isabella's mocking tone at all.

"Well, being a hero is something very difficult. You're going to be a hero one day; you're still young," Isabella said while she ran; she wanted to motivate Lexus a little.

"I know, well, I don't want to be a hero anymore," Lexus said; his voice was determined, and he didn't look lifeless like he did a few minutes earlier.

"Oh! Now this kind of thinking is what I like. Now then, Mr. Heronomore, can you please run by yourself? I am tired of dragging you around," Isabella said with a little smile and left Lex's hand.

Lexus then grabbed her hand and jumped up in the sky, BOOM, breaking the sound barrier; he just zoomed in inside the jungle.

"Wow, you're fast, but we had to go left, genius," Isabella said. At first, she couldn't see; her eyes took time to adjust to such speed.

"Ah! Hehe, sorry about that," Lexus said, then slowly landed in a meadow, and both of them walked slowly towards Isabella's pointed direction.

"If we follow the meadow west just like we're doing right now, we'll reach a town called 'Sherby.' Our village used to sell rice in this town; it's bigger and more prosperous than a village," Isabella said while walking; she was still calm and collected.

"Alright, don't you feel bad about leaving that village?" Lexus asked; he would've felt bad after leaving home suddenly one day for who knows how long.

"I am pretty upset, you know, but crying about it will make it even harder. The town is so far that even thinking about walking there is tiring enough," Isabella said. Though her speed didn't decrease, her goal was the town 'Sherby' for now.

"I would have taken you there in some seconds, but I am also a little tired myself," Lexus said, and he maintained his speed with Isabella.

Both of them traveled the whole day, and as the sun was going down on the horizon, Lexus felt it's about time to stop and rest.

As Lexus was about to stop Isabella from walking anymore, Lexus saw in the distance inside the forest some flickering lights.

As Isabella was walking ahead, Lexus didn't shout but walked fast and tapped on her shoulders, and when she looked, he made a gesture for her to 'shush.'.

Isabella was an intelligent woman; she understood and nodded her head lightly. Lexus then pointed at the forest where lights were flickering, and there were some people there.

"Who are they?" Isabella whispered and asked; she was certain this was a camp.

"I don't know, maybe nomads or bandits. Whoever they are, it's a great thing," Lexus said, then gestured for Isabella to hide herself in the tall grasses.
