Felix brought me back to the clothes shop we had visited yesterday. While I wasn't sure what she wanted me to do there, I was filled with some kind of euphoria. After all I would see that cashier again. Hopefully I would. I'm not sure, since I can't be sure regarding her work cycle. I don't know if she actually works today. I hope so tho.
But why would I hope that? Do I just want to feel those feelings from yesterday again? Those feelings I couldn't describe? Those feelings that come close to excitement but don't stop there?
"What ya lookin so thoughtful for, huh?"
"I'm trying to understand why I'm excited. Why I like going there."
"Cuz that girl's there, duh."
"Yes, but why would that bother me?"
"You fool, cuz ya love her, bud."
"I... Love her?"
"Course ya do. Shoulda seen how ya acted yesterday."
"Hm."
Love, huh?
"T'was love on first sight, duh. At least for ya, Ion know if she thinks that as well."
"I hope so."
"Why?"
"Because if she loves me and I love her we simply can get together."
"Ye, I get that."
"Well, what don't you get then?"
"Ah, dontcha worry bout it."
We finally entered the shop. And behind the counter the same lady from yesterday stood.
"H-hello." I greeted her. I now was kind of nervous. Probably because I loved her. Or maybe I didn't even love her. I have no idea what love really is. Therefore, Felix could just tell me that this is love. Under those circumstances I wouldn't only blindly believe her, I'd also probably act as though I really was in love.
Whether I really was in love with her or wasn't, I was nervous when I stood in front of her and talked with her.
"Ah, hello yet again. You're the one from yesterday, right?"
She remembered me. Was it because of my special choice of clothing? Was it because I came into the shop with a blood stained shirt? Was it because I actually acted different? Because I've shown that I have emotions? Did I even show I have emotions?
My thoughts spiraled around each other and my mind was completely consumed by them.
"Say somethin, ya look weird if ya don't answer."
"Uhhh... Thanks!"
"Thanks?"
"Uh... For remembering me."
"No... Problem?"
"You're so awkward, I can't take it. But dotncha worry, I'll help ya! Ya gotta tackle her with somethin unexpected! Just tell her ya wanna go on a date with her!"
Felix went straight to the point. No preparations, no nothing. I didn't even know her name yet. She didn't know mine either. We talked with each other for probably less than 2 minutes total. Despite that, she ordered me to just try it.
"Will you go on a date with me?"
"Huh?" She looked at me in a weird way for some seconds. "Uhh..." From her reaction I was able to conclude something; Whether or not she was actually interested in me, she didn't seem to have been asked out before. I smiled a bit after realizing that.
"I don't know. We don't know each other at all. I don-"
"My name is Dol. What's yours?"
"Uhh... Patricia."
"Tell her you'll call her Trica."
"I'll call you Trica... Uh... So, now we know each other, right?"
She looked at me for a few seconds again. She seemed to consider it.
"Uh... Sure, why not..."
She didn't seem to take it nearly as serious as I did. However, I don't even know if I took it all that serious.
"Tell her you'll pick her up tonight."
"I'll pick you up tonight."
"Uh... Okay. One second..." She took out a piece of paper and scribbled something onto it. She then held it out to me. I took it.
"An address?"
"Well, you'll need to know where you'll pick me up, right?"
"Ah... Well, yes."
"Now get outta there! The longer you speak with her, the more she'll realize just what a fool ya are."
"I'll go then... See ya later."
"Wait-"
She called out to me. She really called out to me, just when I wanted to go away. The two of us were destined for each other. She longed for me.
"When will you pick me up?"
"Ask how long her shift is, then add 3 hours on top."
"How long is your shift?"
"I still got to be here for 3 hours."
"Then I'll come for you in 6."
"Okay... Until later."
"Until then."
I left the shop. After grasping the air outside, I was overwhelmed with euphoria.
"I did! I really got myself a date! I couldn't have dreamt of it!"
"Well, duh. You didn't even consider it... Ever."
"What's with that attitude? In there you also picked on me quite a bit. Called me awkward and a fool and allat."
"Ohh, I see you're pickin up on my speaking manners."
"I'm not! And don't dodge the question!"
"Chill out, bud. I carried your ahh and got ya a date. Be a bit happy, you're gonna get closer to gettin a relationship and allat."
I sighed. She was kind of right. I really did get that date mostly because of her.
"Are you some kind of flirting expert?"
"Hell nah, not even close! But that girl was just as bad as you! She ain't ever heard a confession! Even if she ain't ever considered you as love potential, when she's suddenly hit by a confession, she's all heads over heels! She a love-virgin, just like ya!"
"And you're some kind of expert or what?"
"Nah, but I'm a emotion expert! I know how to crack those shells, trust me! But now go home! Ya gotta make yourself ready, right?"
"I still got 6 hours..."
"Well, better 6 hours than 6 minutes."
"The choice wasn't between-"
"Dontcha Bark back at me, bud!"
