(Chapter 93:Mira's Pov)
The cold stone beneath me was real. The voices of Lorenzo, Caelyn, and Vincenzo calling my name were real. But the vision—the memories—felt just as real. My breath came fast, shallow, my pulse thrumming in my ears as I sat up.
Lorenzo was kneeling beside me, his hand gripping my arm as if afraid I'd vanish again. "Mira," his voice was low, urgent. "What the hell just happened?"
I opened my mouth, but no words came. How could I tell him? How could I explain that I had just seen myself as a queen of darkness, ruling over a battlefield drenched in blood? That I had seen him, standing against me with a sword in his hand?
The others were watching too, their faces tense. Caelyn was the first to break the silence. "That wasn't normal," he muttered. "One moment, you were walking, and the next—" His gaze flicked to the shadows around us. "It was like they swallowed you whole."
