Chapter 8: Descent into the Mineshaft
Sasuke took a deep breath as he stepped deeper into the Abandoned Mineshaft. The wooden beams holding up the tunnels were old, covered in moss and cobwebs. Faint echoes of dripping water filled the air.
His Iron Sword was ready, his Iron Armor—though invisible—was equipped, and his Inventory had enough food and torches.
DING!

Bonus: Destroy a Spawner (0/1)
Reward: ???
Sasuke's eyes narrowed. So the system recognizes this place as a dungeon? Interesting.
With careful steps, he placed torches along the walls, lighting the way.
Then, he heard it—skittering.
A low, chittering sound came from the shadows.
From the ceiling, cave spiders began crawling down toward him.

Sssshhh!
A spider lunged. Sasuke dodged, slashing with his Iron Sword—the blade cut deep, and the spider burst into pixels, dropping some string and spider eyes.

Two more attacked. Sasuke spun, using his Crescent Moon Slash—a wide arc of steel cut through both, eliminating them instantly.

Sasuke smirked. Too easy.
Then, his Sharingan flickered—something was ahead.

Sasuke followed the tracks deeper and found the first Minecart Chest.
He opened it.

He pocketed everything and moved on.
The second Minecart Chest had:

Sasuke's smirk widened. Diamonds. He could finally craft a Diamond Sword.
The third Minecart Chest had something more valuable—

"A map…?" Sasuke unrolled it. It showed a nearby Cave Spider Spawner.
He glanced ahead. Sure enough, he saw the spawner glowing in the darkness—more spiders were crawling out of it.
Tch, better destroy it fast.

Destroying the Spawner
Sasuke sprinted forward, dodging spider attacks. He slashed two down and jumped onto a wooden ledge near the spawner.
With a powerful downward strike—he shattered the spawner.
DING!

Reward: Enchanted Pickaxe (Unbreaking I)
A shiny Iron Pickaxe appeared in his inventory. Not bad.
But before he could celebrate—
The air changed.

The Warden Awakens
A deep, guttural growl rumbled through the mineshaft.
The torches flickered. The air felt… heavy.

RUN.
Sasuke's heart skipped a beat. A Warden?! But this isn't the Deep Dark—
Then he saw it.
A massive shadow emerged from the tunnel ahead. A towering figure, its body pulsing with darkness, its chest glowing with a sickly blue light.
The Warden.
Sasuke froze for half a second.
Then—
BOOM!
The Warden let out a sonic roar, blasting the walls apart. Sasuke barely dodged, feeling the shockwave slam into his armor—his health bar in the system dropped by 5 hearts instantly.
"Tch—no choice! I have to run!"

Escape from the Mineshaft
Sasuke sprinted for his life, weaving through the tunnels as the Warden stomped after him.
BOOM! Another sonic attack—Sasuke dodged, feeling the ground shake. His heart pounded.
He jumped over minecart tracks, slashed through cobwebs, and sprinted up the slope leading back to the surface.
The Warden roared, its glowing blue sensors tracking him.
10 meters.
5 meters.
Sasuke reached the entrance—he spun around, grabbed a stack of Cobblestone, and sealed the tunnel shut.
THUD!
The Warden slammed into the blocked passage. Dust and pebbles rained down, but the rocks held.
Sasuke collapsed, panting. His health bar was low, his body was sore, but—
He was alive.
DING!

Reward: 500 EXP + 1 Ender Pearl
Sasuke sat up, staring at his inventory.
The Ender Pearl gleamed in his hands.
He exhaled. "That… was too close."
But despite the danger—he smirked.
He had diamonds, he had an enchanted pickaxe, and he had survived the Warden.
Sasuke Uchiha was getting stronger.
