"The Ugly Sovereign: Ascending Beyond Mortal Scorn"

The chapter begins with a description of the early morning in the Luo Clan's territory. The sun rises over the mountains, casting a golden glow over the landscape.

Luo Feng wakes up in his small hut, feeling a strange warmth in his chest. He doesn't understand it yet, but this warmth is the first sign of his cultivation potential.

Granny Wen prepares breakfast, humming softly as she works. Luo Feng watches her with admiration, grateful for her kindness.

After breakfast, Granny Wen decides to teach Luo Feng about the basics of cultivation. She explains that cultivation is the process of absorbing spiritual energy from the world to strengthen the body and mind.

She demonstrates a simple breathing technique, instructing Luo Feng to sit cross-legged and focus on his breath.

Luo Feng struggles at first, but Granny Wen encourages him, saying, "Cultivation is like planting a seed. It takes time and patience, but with care, it will grow."

Later in the day, Luo Feng ventures outside to practice the breathing technique. He is soon spotted by Luo Chen and his gang of bullies.

The other children join in, throwing sticks and stones at Luo Feng. One of the stones hits him on the forehead, drawing blood.

Luo Feng runs back to the hut, his heart pounding with fear and anger.

Back in the hut, Granny Wen tends to Luo Feng's wound. As she cleans the blood, the black jade amulet begins to glow faintly.

Luo Feng notices the glow and picks up the amulet. As soon as he touches it, he feels a surge of energy coursing through his body.

The energy is overwhelming, and Luo Feng collapses onto the bed, unconscious.

In his unconscious state, Luo Feng has a vision. He finds himself in a vast, starry void, standing before a massive serpent with glowing golden eyes.

The serpent speaks to him in a deep, resonant voice: "You have been chosen, child. The path ahead will be difficult, but you are destined for greatness."

The serpent then transforms into a stream of golden light, which flows into Luo Feng's body. He wakes up with a start, feeling stronger and more focused than ever before.

Granny Wen is shocked to see the change in Luo Feng. She examines the amulet and realizes that it is no ordinary object.

She tells Luo Feng, "This amulet is a treasure beyond compare. It has chosen you, child. You must protect it and use its power wisely."

Granny Wen also warns him to keep the amulet a secret, as its power could attract dangerous enemies.

Inspired by the vision and Granny Wen's words, Luo Feng decides to try the breathing technique again. This time, he feels a strong connection to the spiritual energy around him.

As he breathes in, he feels the energy flowing into his body, filling him with warmth and strength. He successfully completes his first cultivation cycle, reaching the Qi Gathering Stage.
