Until the next morning, I was awakened by a knock on the door.
As soon as I opened it, I saw Seraphina standing before me with disheveled hair.
Her eyes were bloodshot as she glared at me intensely.
"Luther, did it really have to come to this? Do you know what kind of people frequent those entertainment clubs? I'm a pregnant woman who fell asleep in a private room with no protection. If something had happened, were you planning to just turn a blind eye?"
"How can you be so heartless!"
I stepped back from Seraphina, my hangover headache making me irritable.
"First of all, we're divorced, so I have no obligation to look out for you. Secondly, I didn't ask you to follow me, you did that on your own."
"Lastly, hurry up and sign the divorce papers so we can part ways amicably without making a scene."
I was about to close the door, but Seraphina forcefully blocked it with her foot.
She looked up at me, her eyes filled with panic.
