Jit and his new party stood in front of a Level 1 Slime. It was a small, round, blue creature, about the size of a watermelon, bouncing lightly on the ground. Its gelatinous body wobbled as it moved, and a faint, disgusting squelching noise accompanied each bounce.
Aman, the swordsman, smirked. "It's just a slime. This should be easy."
Jit tightened his grip on his sword. This was his first real fight, and while a slime wasn't exactly threatening, he still needed to be cautious.
"Jit, since you're new, why don't you take this one?" Mohan, the archer, suggested.
Jit nodded. "Alright."
He took a step forward, raising his sword.
BOING!
The slime suddenly leapt toward him!
Jit's eyes widened, but his body reacted instinctively. He sidestepped the attack, barely dodging as the slime landed with a wet plop right where he had been standing.
Aman chuckled. "Be careful. Even weak monsters can be dangerous if you're careless."
Jit exhaled and refocused. He gripped his sword tightly, his muscles tensing.
"When you hit a monster," Aman explained, "their HP bar becomes visible. That way, you can see exactly how much damage you've done."
With a swift swing of his blade, Jit slashed at the slime. A red bar appeared above the creature, a small chunk missing from its full length.
"See? That means you just dealt some damage. The more you hit it, the lower the bar goes—until it's empty, and the monster's defeated."
Jit nodded, taking in the information. "Got it. So, the goal is to keep attacking until the HP bar runs out?"
"Exactly." Aman smirked.
Jit tightened his grip on his sword and slashed at the slime four more times.
With each hit, the slime jiggled and wobbled, its HP bar shrinking bit by bit.
With the last hit slime trembled, its body losing form. Then, with a faint plop, it burst into tiny glowing particles before vanishing completely.
Jit lowered his sword, panting slightly. "I did it…"

The slime vanished into thin air, leaving behind a small blue orb on the ground.
Mohan picked it up. "It's just a Low-Grade Slime Core. Not worth much, but you can sell it." He tossed it to Jit. "Here, it's yours."
Jit caught the core and slipped it into his pocket. Then, when no one was paying attention, he sneakily stored it in his Storage Ability.
"Better to keep my abilities a secret for now."
He turned back to the group, feeling a surge of excitement. "Let's find more monsters."
Aman grinned. "That's the spirit! Let's go!"
5 minute later
After walking for five minutes, Jit and his party stumbled upon a group of slimes.
There were around ten Level 1 Slimes and a few Level 2 Slimes bouncing nearby. Their gelatinous bodies wobbled as they moved, and the soft squelching sounds filled the air.
Aman smirked. "This will be a good warm-up."
Mohan nodded, gripping his bow. "Jit, are you ready?"
Jit tightened his grip on his sword. "Yeah, let's do this."
The slimes noticed them and immediately charged forward!
Aman and Jit took the front, while Mohan and Amar stayed back.
BOING! BOING! BOING!
The slimes bounced rapidly toward them.
SWISH!
Mohan fired an arrow, striking one slime right in the core.

Meanwhile, two slimes lunged at Jit.
"They're fast!"
He sidestepped and swung his sword horizontally—

Aman, on the other hand, was effortlessly slashing through slimes, his movements swift and precise.
Suddenly, a Level 2 Slime launched itself at Jit!
This one was bigger and faster than the others.
THWACK!
Jit tried to dodge, but the slime slammed into him, sending him stumbling backward.
"Jit!" Amar called out.
Jit gritted his teeth. "That thing is stronger than I thought!"
The Level 2 Slime bounced again, aiming straight for his chest.
At the last second, Jit rolled to the side, dodging the attack. Then he put the 3 attribute point in agility and 2 in strength.

The slime disappeared, leaving behind a slightly larger core than the others.
Jit quickly grabbed the loot and stored it in his Storage Ability.
Meanwhile, Mohan and Aman finished off the last few slimes.
Jit wiped the sweat off his forehead. "That was tougher than I expected."
Amar chuckled. "You did well, though. Level 2 monsters are no joke for a beginner.
Mohan tossed Jit another loot drop. "You're improving fast. Keep it up."
Jit was thinking.
"If I keep hunting like this… I'll become powerful in no time!"
With that, they continued their hunt, ready for the next battle.
After their first victory, Jit and his party continued hunting slimes. They encountered more Level 1 and Level 2 slimes, cutting them down effortlessly. As they ventured deeper into the hunting field, they faced stronger slimes—Level 3, Level 4, and even a few Level 5 Slimes.
The fights became more intense.
Level 3 Slimes were faster and had a tougher outer layer.
Level 4 Slimes had better resistance to attacks, requiring precise strikes to their cores.
Level 5 Slimes were dangerous, capable of launching acid-like attacks.
Despite the difficulty, the group worked together, taking down slime after slime.

After many battles, Jit's status window popped up.

Jit could feel himself becoming stronger. His movements were sharper, his reactions faster, and his strikes more powerful.
The team gathered their loot. Level 4 and Level 5 Slime Cores were valuable, so they divided them among themselves.
Aman looked at Jit and smirked. "Not bad, newbie. You leveled up pretty fast."
Mohan nodded. "At this rate, you'll catch up to us in no time."
Before ,Jit's group members were level 6, now they reached level 9.
Jit clenched his fists, feeling more determined than ever. "I'm getting stronger…
After hours of hunting, the group felt satisfied with their gains. Their bags were filled with monster cores, loot, gold and their body were covered in sweat and dirt.
Aman stretched his arms. "That was a good hunt. We should head back to the city and sell our loot."
Mohan nodded. "Yeah, we've been out here long enough. Let's go."
Jit silently agreed. I gained a lot today… EXP, loot, and real battle experience. But this is just the beginning.
The four warriors started their journey back to Dalton City. The road was relatively safe, as high-level monsters didn't usually wander close to the city walls.
As they walked, Amar spoke up. "Jit, you did well for your first time."
Jit smiled. "Thanks. I still have a long way to go, though."
Aman smirked. "That's the right mindset. Strength is everything in this world."
Mohan added, "Once we sell our loot, let's have a meal together. My treat."
Jit's stomach growled at the mention of food. He laughed. "I won't say no to that."
Dalton City
As they approached Dalton City's massive steel gates, they saw guards stationed at the entrance, checking everyone who entered.
The city was alive with activity—merchants selling goods, warriors returning from hunts, and blacksmiths advertising their weapons.
The group passed through the gates without trouble and made their way to the Monster Core shop, a place where hunters could sell monster cores for gold.
Inside, a middle-aged man stood behind the counter. "Welcome! What do you have for me today?"
Aman placed a bag of Level 1 to Level 3 cores on the counter. "We'd like to sell these."
The man inspected them and nodded. "I'll give you 50 silver coins for these."
Mohan took out their Level 4 and Level 5 cores. "And these?"
The shopkeeper's eyes widened. "Oh, these are valuable! A Level 4 core is worth 20 gold coins, and a Level 5 core is worth 50 gold coins!"
The group exchanged glances, happy with their earnings. They split the money evenly, and Jit received 30 gold coins for his share.
"I finally have some money... but I need much more if I want to change my family's life."
After selling their loot, they left the shop.
Aman patted Jit's shoulder. "You did good today. If you want, you can join us again next time."
Jit smiled. "I'll think about it."
Mohan stretched. "Alright, let's go eat!"
As they walked toward a nearby restaurant.
After finishing his meal with his teammates, Jit walked back home. The streets of Dalton City were quieter now, the once-busy markets slowly closing down. The glow of lanterns lit his path as he made his way through the narrow alleys toward his house in Block D.
As he stepped inside, he saw his mother sitting in the small living room, Her face looked tired, but she still smiled when she saw him.
"Jit, you're back! Did you eat?"
Jit nodded and handed her a small pouch of gold coins.
His mother's eyes widened as she opened it. "Where did you get this much money?"
Jit smiled. "It's from today's monster hunting. And this is just the beginning. From tomorrow, I'll be able to earn even more."
His mother looked at him with concern. "Just don't overdo it, okay? Fighting monsters is dangerous."
Jit reassured her. "Don't worry, Mom. I'll be careful."
Jit glanced around the house. "Where are Soni and Sonu?"
His mother smiled softly. "They're sleeping."
Jit nodded. I'll see them in the morning.
Then he asked, "Where's Father?"
His mother pointed toward the door. "He's still at the shop. He should be home soon."
Jit sat down for a moment, stretching his sore arms.
"You should eat something," his mother said.
Jit shook his head. "I already had dinner."
His mother smiled. "Alright, then."
Knock! Knock!
A sound came from the door.
Jit's father had returned from the shop, looking tired but content. He gave Jit a nod before heading inside.
Jit felt exhaustion creeping over him. The day had been long and full of battles.
He stood up and said, "I'm going to sleep now."
His mother nodded. "Rest well, Jit."
Jit entered his small room, laid down on his simple bed, and let out a deep breath.
His muscles ached from the long day of fighting, but he felt satisfied.
"Today was just the beginning. Tomorrow… I'll get even stronger."
With that thought in mind, he closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
