Ch 7. A New Home

* The Next DayA Medical Shop

The morning air was crisp, with a faint chill lingering as Jit walked through the bustling streets of Dalton City. The markets were already lively, merchants shouting to advertise their goods, and the aroma of street food wafting through the air. However, Jit's mind was focused on one thing getting the medicine.

He arrived at a small medical shop tucked between two larger buildings. A simple wooden sign hung above the door with faded letters that read "Herbal Remedies & Medicines." Pushing the door open, a small bell chimed softly. Inside, the shop was filled with shelves lined with bottles, herbs, and various potions of different colors and sizes.

Behind the counter stood a middle-aged man with sharp eyes and neatly combed gray hair. His attire was simple, but the way he handled the vials showed years of experience.

Jit approached the counter.

"I need a Rank 5 medicine," he said directly.

The man glanced up, raising an eyebrow. "Rank 5 medicine? Are you buying this for an illness?"

"Yes," Jit replied, keeping his expression neutral.

The man nodded thoughtfully, his gaze softening. "I hope he or she recovers soon. Rank 5 medicines are strong they should help."

"Thank you," Jit responded quietly.

The man turned, picking up a small, dark-blue vial from a shelf behind him. The liquid inside shimmered faintly under the dim light. He placed it on the counter carefully.

"That'll be 500 gold coins."

Jit reached into his pouch without hesitation and counted out the coins, placing them on the counter. The man quickly gathered them, then slid the vial toward Jit.

As Jit turned to leave, the man's voice followed him.

"If you need any medicine in the future, please visit us again."

Jit gave a slight nod.

After securing the Rank 5 medicine, Jit stepped out of the medical shop, slipping the vial carefully into his storage.

* Blacksmith Shop

After that, Jit went to the blacksmith's shop and handed him the tiger leather to make it into a costume.

The blacksmith examined the leather carefully, running his rough, calloused fingers over the thick, durable hide. His muscular frame and soot-covered apron spoke of years spent crafting weapons and armor, his sharp eyes gleaming with interest as he studied the material.

"This is Level 45 tiger leather," the blacksmith muttered, his tone carrying a mix of surprise and admiration. "It's good material for crafting armor tough, flexible, and resistant to both physical and elemental damage."

Jit remained silent, watching as the blacksmith inspected the leather from different angles, assessing its potential.

"It will be ready in two days," the blacksmith finally said, nodding with confidence.

"How much will it cost?" Jit asked.

Wiping his hands on a rag, the blacksmith replied, "It will be 300 gold coins."

"Okay," Jit responded with a slight nod. "I'll come back in two days."

After that, he decided to go to the Warrior Guild to buy a house.

* Warrior Guilds

At the Warrior Guild, Jit steps into a large, bustling hall filled with warriors of all ranks. The walls are decorated with monster trophies and large boards displaying mission requests. Despite the noise, there's an organized flow warriors lining up to register, claim rewards, or purchase equipment.

Jit approaches the Property Management Desk, a section specifically for warriors looking to buy houses, land, or even establish personal bases. Behind the counter sits a sharp-eyed guild officer named Mira, known for handling real estate matters.

• Warrior Guild - Property Management Desk

The guild hall buzzes with activity, but Jit focuses on his goal. He approaches the Property Management Desk, where Mira sits behind a sturdy wooden counter, sorting through documents and crystal tablets. She looks up, her sharp eyes assessing him quickly.

Mira (raising an eyebrow):

"How can I help you?"

Jit (confidently):

"I want to buy a house in Block B."

Mira (with a slight smirk):

" huh? Bold choice."

Mira , Surprised by his directness. She taps on her crystal tablet, pulling up property listings for Block B ,a well-known residential area favored by mid-tier warriors due to its balance of safety and proximity to training grounds.

Mira (scrolling through listings):

"Block B, huh? That's a popular choice. Houses there aren't cheap, especially with the recent influx of new warriors. What kind of property are you looking for? A small house, an apartment, or maybe a larger estate?"

She slides the tablet slightly toward Jit, showing holographic images:

1. Compact Warrior Apartment: 2 rooms, basic training space, affordable.

2. Standard House: 3 rooms, a small yard, moderate price.

3. Reinforced Home: Designed for warriors, includes monster material reinforcements for extra security, expensive.

Mira (leaning forward, curious):

"You're pretty young to be buying property. Did you just awaken recently? You'll need to show your Warrior License for the paperwork. Also… are you sure you can afford Block B?"

She taps the screen again, and the price appears in bold text:

"Price: 450 Gold Coins."

Mira glances at Jit with a raised eyebrow.

Mira:

"It's not cheap. 450 gold coins is a hefty sum. Are you sure you can afford this?"

Without hesitation, Jit reaches into his Storage ability. With a flash of light, he pulls out a heavy pouch filled with glittering gold coins . The metallic clink echoes as he sets it on the counter.

Mira's eyes widen slightly, impressed despite herself. She clears her throat and pulls out the contract .

Mira (professional tone):

"Alright, let's finalize the deal. You'll sign here, here, and here. The house comes fully reinforced, with the yard included. I'll process the ownership transfer now.

Jit signs the contract confidently. After the paperwork is done, Mira hands him the key of the house.

Mira (smiling slightly):

"Congratulations, homeowner. Welcome to Block B."

Jit walks out of the guild, feeling a surge of pride.

* Outside the Warrior GuildBusy Street of Dalton City

Jit steps out of the Warrior Guild, the crystal key to his new home clenched tightly in his hand. The sunlight bounces off the towering buildings as warriors and merchants bustle around.

He pulls out his old, slightly cracked phone, dials his parents, and waits as the call connects.

Jit (smiling):

"Mom, Dad… I've bought a new home in Block B."

There's a brief silence on the other end, followed by his mother's shocked voice.

Mom (over the phone, emotional):

"What? Jit… are you serious?"

Jit (nodding, eyes shining):

"Yes. Pack everything. I've sent you the address. Just come."

He hangs up, his heart pounding with excitement and pride.

Jit walks confidently through the bustling crowd, his mind still racing with the excitement of his new home in Block B. As he turns a corner, he accidentally bumps into a broad-shouldered man wearing flashy armor with a smug expression plastered on his face.

The man stumbles slightly, his ego clearly bruised more than anything else. He glares at Jit with burning arrogance.

Mohan (furious):

"How dare you bump into me, you peasant!"

Without warning, Mohan swings his fist, aiming to land a punch fueled more by pride than skill. But before the punch can connect

Jit's hand shoots up with lightning speed, effortlessly catching Mohan's fist mid-air.

Jit's grip tightens, his fingers digging into the man's knuckles with bone-crushing pressure. A sickening crack echoes through the air as several of Rahul's finger bones snap like dry twigs.

Mohan (screaming in pain):

"Aaaaghhh! You bastard! Do you know who I am? My brother is the leader of a D-rank guild!"

Ignoring the crowd that has started to gather,Mohan pulls back his injured hand, his face twisted with rage. Despite the pain, he tries to activate a skill, his fists glowing faintly with a weak aura. But before he can launch an attack—

His guild members rush in, quickly restraining him.

Guild Member (nervously glancing around):

"Mohan, stop! We can't fight in public.

Mohan grits his teeth, his pride wounded far worse than his hand. He glares daggers at Jit as his comrades drag him away.

Mohan (furious):

"This isn't over!"

As they disappear into the crowd, Jit's expression remains calm. His curiosity piqued, he activates his Appraisal Skill, focusing on Mohan. A translucent blue window materializes before his eyes:

[STATUS WINDOW]

Name: Mohan

MP: 225/225

Jit narrows his eyes, studying the details.

Jit (thinking):

"Level 32? Hmph… just a loudmouth with average stats. His strength is decent, but nothing special. His guild members aren't impressive either, hovering between levels 28 and 31."

He deactivates the status window, brushing the encounter off like dust from his shoulder.

Jit (smirking to himself):

"If that's what passes for strength around here, I've got nothing to worry about."

He continues down the street, heading toward his new home.
