Fulgur

Aegeon, went to meet the former captives and spoke with Rachel, they talked for a while, the others decided to stay and join the church, their faith wasn't enough to become real followers but for now it would do.

He made her a bishop and left the management to her, he named the new building, the Church of Storms, a new division or spin off from his main god's church.

A literal weight was off his shoulder, they were safe, finally. That thought didn't last long, for in reality how safe are they really? The war with the golden order was stalled not stopped, unless he does something about it, they weren't ever really safe.

He bumped into Isabella on his way back to the Duke's 'palace'.

"Isabella"

"Aegeon" She stared at him strangely.

"Your father wants me to leave" Her eyes widened, but the twinkle in her eyes never faded, instead the corners of her lips curved into a smile.

"Then I'll go with you" She held her arm, her nose scrunched up as her eyes crinkled a smile capable of melting true ice on her face.

"He wants you to stay" Her smile faltered, but steadied itself "Is that so" Her voice was neither angry nor happy.

"I'll remind Father, he doesn't control me" The snow around them multiplied, and the temperature visibly dropped.

Her cheeks puffed out, as her eyes narrowed slightly, her lips pressed into a thin line.

She even looked cute while angry.

"No" He held her hand, causing her face to look as red as a tomato, her anger fading from her face, her pupils dilated, as she looked away avoiding his gaze.

"Stay here" She was about to protest before he interrupted her "For now" He breathed out a sigh.

"I'll use this 'one' as a scout, you'll be the first to know if something goes wrong."

"Fine." She turned and huffed "You better be safe" She stormed off.

He looked for a while before turning and leaving towards her father's study.

"You're here"

"And you spoke with my daughter" He glanced over at him "Don't look so surprised, I am the ruler of this domain." The duke stood up, his hands pulling something from his pocket.

Aegean tensed, was the duke about to kill him?

The Duke chuckled "Relax, if you didn't talk to her, I would have beat you myself"

Was this Duke bipolar?

He waved him off, "It was a test, and like I said earlier you aren't the type to settle down, or respect Authority." A blue ruby key that looked like it was sculpted from ice was in his hand "This here" He raised his hand with the key.

"Well, it's pretty obvious what it is," He motioned for Aegeon to follow him, they walked outside the office into a corridor, Duke Boreas stopped walking, he looked back at Aegeon and sent him a cocky smile before snapping his finger.

The floor beneath them started to shimmer becoming transparent, a cavern of ice below them.

Aegeon's eyes widened, a hint of panic seeped its way into his nerves. Is this guy trying to kill me? He shot the duke a glare, who responded with a chuckle.

The floor beneath them disappearing, the duke falling in a graceful manner and Aegeon not so much.

They fell into what seemed to be a pit, caught in ice and freed.

"A little intense don't you think?" Aegeon patted himself off, the want to vomit not so absent from his desires.

The duke laughed, doubling over with his hands on his stomach "It keeps the thieves out"

Aegeon looked him in horror, was this family insane?

Duke Boreas snorted recovering, "You should see what happens if you steal", the corner of his lips pulled into a smirk.

They continued walking down a corridor of ice util reaching a door, made of Sapphire.

A pillar erupted from the floor, half the length of the 6'5 Duke, he placed his hand on it

A pale blue pearlescent box appeared before them

The small obelisk opened up revealing a key shaped hole, Duke Boreas pressed his key inside it and turned it.

The passageway opened, revealing a treasury of sorts.

"One item"

The Duke stood guard at the door, as Aegeon walked in.

"Wow" The words escaped his lips, his eyes roaming around, he immediately walked to the first thing that caught his eyes.

[Tears of Winter]

A blue porcelain bottle, he almost laughed out loud, such a fragile item containing the tears of the goddess of winter.

As barbaric as it sounded, in the game if you ever drank the tears of a deity, you would be granted their affinity and a partial relation with said deity, and it was the equivalent to a high grade elixer.

This kept so close to the entrance meant it wasn't even the most valuable thing here, he let his eyes roam before spotting something else, that made his eyes widen.

"The winter solstice?" He walked to where it was, it was an ice sword, crafted by the god of blacksmiths but that wasn't why it was so surprising that it was here.

This sword belonged to the Sword Saint of Snow/Ice. Meaning the future owner probably belonged to House Boreas, or they looted the vault during the war.

He thought that the former made more sense than the latter, the Sword Saint HATED people from the Sun Church.

The Sword itself was a Divine Armament, a weapon worthy to be wielded by a god, probably not a major one, but it was still a godly weapon no doubt.

The only downside was that it had to choose its owner, and ice didn't really favor him, he was half tempted to just grab it for Isabella. Yet as the heir of House Boreas, she would be able to use the sword, if it favored her. It also didn't help that if the sword deemed you unworthy it would encase you in ice.

Quite harsh, but it was a godly weapon after all.

He kept looking, there were a lot of good things, more armors wielded by past heroes, broken weapons of the god of night, and a bow wielded by the old moon god.

None of them really suited him, he made his way to the back of the room.

Thats weird

Why did House Boreas have Kanon's Great Thunder Bolt?

He got closer to examine it, as a whisper seemed to emanate from the sword calling him closer. It was calling him in a spiritual level, like he was meant to have it.

He shook his head snapping out of it, he examined the sword.

It was a great sword, that had Lightning sizzling around it, the hilt was crafted by the son of Talos a Demigod child of the Earth mender, the god of blacksmiths. It was a collaborative work between son and father, for the world's greatest Knight of Justice.

Kanon the Stormcaller.

Thanks.

He scratched his cheek.

Two Divine armaments? House Boreas, sure was rich.

He whistled.

Aegeon was a spear user, but wasn't a great sword so romantic? His hand reached for the handle, before something in the corner of his eye caught his interest. He paused and turned, much to the swords dismay.

The smile that built on his face stiffened, and a frown overtook its place.

Did he really have a choice?

He spotted what seemed to be the next piece of equipment that his god promised him.

It was the same design as his new boots, he looked down, lightning still sparking from his heel, he then turned back to look at the new piece of armor.

It matched the color of his boots, the legwear had thunder blue accents, highlighting around it, on the legs it had a man that strangely resembled himself wielding a thunder bolt.

[Greaves of the Lightning Weaver] He instinctively knew its name as he put his hand on it, the piece itself was missing its nametag or a spot in the vault.

He sighed knowing he had to choose this; He looked back longingly at the Great Sword before grabbing the pants and walking to the exit.

"Huh" an audible gasp of surprise from the Duke after noticing his item, he raised an eyebrow and spoke, "That wasn't part of the collection, go and choose another"

Aegeon couldn't help, but break into a wide grin, he heard the laughter from the Duke fade into the background as he walked further into the vault to where the sword was.

He hovered his hands over the handle and gripped it tightly expecting to feel a fight, it was surprisingly docile.

He put his arms through the straps and attacked the sheath to his back and then put the sword in it. Aegeon didn't feel much weight on his back, he felt cool, he then put on the new piece of armor and walked out.

"Good choice"
