Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [136]

However, this Rhodes is quite smart. This time, it wasn't his true self that attracted Slaanesh's attention, but one of his subordinates.

Not bad! Not bad! As expected of someone that golden bastard has his eyes on.

That guy in golden armor is practically a larger version of the Emperor, or perhaps even his avatar.

This Rhodes has some skills. Good job, boy. Keep it up!

Defeating those four bastards is up to you! Let me take a backseat and enjoy the show!

I'll just watch as you tear that purple pervert to pieces with your bare hands.

That said, I did screw this boy over a bit in this matter, so I must find a way to compensate him.

Otherwise, when he finds out about this, I'll be in trouble.

...

Meanwhile, almost all Chaos warbands and Chaos sorcerers scattered across the galaxy—anyone under Slaanesh's influence—received a mission:

To secretly investigate a giant Titan clad in golden armor and wielding a massive sword, who seemed to be an avatar of the Emperor.

This being possessed unimaginable power and could freely change its size.

Countless Slaanesh champions and Chosen saw this as another rare opportunity to please their master.

They immediately set out on a journey to find this so-called avatar of the Emperor.

Meanwhile, the servants of other Chaos gods also noticed Slaanesh's army's movements and began speculating whether Slaanesh's forces were about to make a big move.

Inside a spaceship, Rhodes was overjoyed. This time, he was quite lucky.

Not only had he eradicated the forces of a purple-perverted hermaphrodite, but he also killed two of their Chaos champions.

Take that, you perverted maniac, for daring to target me!

During this operation, Rhodes had wiped out an entire planet of daemons and earned over 200,000 system gold coins in the process, making him rich in one go!

Compared to the Tyranid swarm, killing Chaos daemons was more profitable, as their souls were also very valuable.

Of course, this job could only be done by a Chaos Daemon Slayer. Other creatures could only destroy the physical forms of daemons but couldn't truly kill them in the truest sense.

The most precious thing obtained from this operation, however, was a trace of Slaanesh's divine power.

This was a type of Chaos god's power that could stir up the deepest desires in a person's heart, manipulate emotions, and cast various sinister Chaos spells.

Its direct offensive power was slightly weaker than the Emperor's golden psychic energy, but its strange and sinister nature made it formidable. It could even turn people into monsters.

"Master! Something seems off! The new power I've collected conflicts with the Emperor's power in my body," the Chaos Daemon Slayer suddenly contacted Rhodes through the monster system.

"What do you mean? Are you saying that the Emperor's golden power cannot coexist with Slaanesh's power in your body?" Rhodes frowned and asked.

"Yes, Master!"

At first, when the energy was just absorbed, there didn't seem to be any issues.

But once the two powers coexisted in his body, problems began to arise.

Within the Chaos Daemon Slayer's body, the newly formed seed of Slaanesh's divine power was being ferociously attacked by a golden energy seed.

Neither power was being controlled by anyone, but they seemed to be natural enemies.

The Slaanesh divine power seed, having just formed and not yet strengthened, was at a severe disadvantage against the golden seed.

It even seemed to be on the verge of being destroyed. How should this be handled?

Perhaps the Slaanesh power could be strengthened to make it equal to the Emperor's power. However, if strengthened, it could lead to an even more intense conflict between the two.

Rhodes immediately opened the Chaos Daemon Slayer's enhancement list and found the newly absorbed Slaanesh power.

Like the Emperor's psychic light, this power could also be enhanced three times.

First Enhancement: Costs 20,000 gold coins. Slaanesh's divine power would be strengthened, making it better at controlling and manipulating minds, as well as casting Chaos spells and Warp abilities.

Second Enhancement: Costs 200,000 gold coins. Slaanesh's divine power would grow even stronger, allowing it to transform ordinary beings into Slaanesh monsters. It could delve into the deepest desires and secrets of beings, manipulate lower-tier Slaanesh daemons, and overpower Chaos champions and Chosen. However, it would still be unable to compete with Slaanesh's greater daemons, daemon princes, or Slaanesh itself for control.

Third Enhancement: Costs 2 million gold coins. This would condense a Chaos core of Slaanesh's divine power within the body. After the third enhancement, the Slaanesh power within the body would reach the level of a top-tier Slaanesh greater demon, capable of unleashing unimaginable power.

The power of Slaanesh can envelop the entire body, transforming it into a chaotic subspace daemon form. This form inflicts massive damage on ordinary lifeforms, causing them to instantly fall into corruption. It can also control high-level Slaanesh daemons but cannot compete with Slaanesh itself for control.

Drawbacks: Slaanesh's power conflicts with the Emperor's power, and the two cannot coexist. A single Ace Killer cannot harbor two divine power cores simultaneously.

Rhodes felt somewhat helpless. The Emperor's divine power and Slaanesh's power simply could not coexist. Even without their respective masters, these two forces were natural enemies.

"Master! This power is not some ordinary energy but a higher-tier force. Just like the golden power before, my body can only carry one such power. At the moment, I can barely suppress these two forces to prevent them from fighting, but doing so greatly reduces my strength. Additionally, when I use one power, the other begins to stir," the Chaos Daemon Slayer sighed and said.

It was a bit of a miscalculation. While this power could indeed be absorbed and controlled, it could not coexist with the other. Rhodes was also at a loss. Did he have to give up the hard-earned power of Slaanesh? Would his plan to collect the powers of the four Chaos Gods be ruined? The Emperor's power and Slaanesh's power simply couldn't coexist!

Not to mention the Emperor, even the four Chaos Gods themselves were at odds, constantly at war with one another. Slaanesh and Khorne were enemies, while Nurgle and Tzeentch also opposed each other. Rhodes guessed that if he absorbed the powers of the other Chaos Gods, they too would clash internally.

"Chaos Demon Slayer, can you channel the power of Slaanesh out of your body and transfer it elsewhere?" Rhodes suddenly thought of something and asked.

"That can be done, Master. Are you asking me to release this power?" the Chaos Daemon Slayer asked with a nod.

"Wait a moment. I'll summon a companion for you. You will inherit the Emperor's power, while your new companion will inherit Slaanesh's power," Rhodes said.

Why would I make an Ace Killer inherit the powers of both the four Chaos Gods and the Emperor simultaneously? Since they cannot coexist, why not separate them? Each Ace Killer could be strengthened by one core. That way, five Ace Killers could simultaneously bear the powers of the Emperor and the four Chaos Gods.

No mistakes, no waste!

In the future, even the power of the Laughing God or other deities could be exploited in this way. After all, an Ace Killer only costs 100,000 gold coins—not expensive at all.

Rhodes immediately opened the system's mid-tier shop, purchased a new Ace Killer, and teleported it over.

Soon, a new Ace Killer appeared before the Chaos Daemon Slayer. Following Rhodes' command, the two Ace Killers nodded to each other. The Chaos Daemon Slayer then transferred all the recently acquired Slaanesh power into the new Ace Killer.

The deep purple energy poured out continuously, and after several hours, all of the Slaanesh power within the Chaos Daemon Slayer had been transferred to the new Ace Killer. Just like when the Emperor's psychic power was used to strengthen the first assassin, a transformation occurred in the new Ace Killer's body.

The new Ace Killer's body turned purple, and its killer armor was no longer golden but black and purple. The enhancements to the new Ace Killer were identical to those of the Chaos Daemon Slayer, except the Emperor's psychic light had been replaced with Slaanesh's divine power.

Rhodes spent another 20,000 system gold coins to give Slaanesh's power a round of initial enhancements. Then, as before, he upgraded the killer's armor, getting two lightweight sets of armor for free.

The armor of the Slaanesh-powered Ace Killer transformed as well. Unlike the imposing golden armor of the Emperor, the new Ace Killer's purple armor exuded a sinister aura, covered in spikes and flowing with the energy of the subspace.

The helmet featured a grotesque, long-tongued demon with devilish horns. The killer's sword was no longer a wide golden greatsword but a slender, barbed purple rune blade. The hooked claws on its arms became thinner and more sinister.

One was the embodiment of the Emperor, the other the incarnation of Slaanesh—a bizarre contrast in style.

At this moment, an interdimensional rift suddenly opened on the planet's surface. An Imperial combat shuttle appeared in orbit, and two landing craft descended toward the planet.

"Lord Loki, if your daemon monster has finished their work, we should leave quickly. That group is the Imperial Grey Knights," Seth said to Rhodes.

Rhodes nodded, preparing to remotely retrieve the two Ace Killer. However, he suddenly stopped.

"No rush," Rhodes said, his eyes glinting as he turned to Seth. Simultaneously, he gave a mental command to the Ace killers.

"Pretend to fight. One of you uses the Emperor's golden power, and the other uses Slaanesh's power. Make it convincing and intense. The one using the Emperor's power should pretend to be losing."

The two Ace Killers glanced at each other in confusion but complied.

They each drew their swords—the golden greatsword and the sinister purple rune blade—and clashed in combat.

When the Grey Knights landed, they witnessed a bizarre scene:

A golden-armored giant, resembling the Emperor himself, was locked in battle with a massive Slaanesh daemon.

"By the Emperor!"
